"Aap kuch dekhin kya? Sita Ram rested the newspaper on his legs as he quizzed his wife.

"Nahii hum kuch nahi dekhen hain abhi. Who bahar gayi rahin Suman ke saath chhotey ka school dekhne, kal? Parson?

Teeku had not seen much of Harit after feeling his beard two evenings ago

"Aaya pasand unko?

"Hamey nahi kahin, Suman kah rahin thi, munna kuch kahey nahi

"Unko zid bohot hai Lakshmi Sita Ram sighed worried

"Haan sabhi bachon mein hai Lakshmi unwilling to admit.

"Yashu bas 2 saal taq kare rahe, paach taq thode hi? Sita Ram argued

"Abhi baat naye Jodi ki hai ya bache ki? Lakshmi got up in a huff

"Naye Jodi ka kuch hal dhoondein aap

"HUM kahe rahe, eka hi kamra theek. Nahi aap kahe, do deejiye, Dilli ki hain, munne se pyar hai. Abhi dono saayad hafte mein ek baar miltey hongey

"Hafta hua raha shaadi ko Sita Ram laughed

"Haan bus ek baar mile hongey

He laughed

"Yashu ki khabar chauthe hafte mein mili hamey, aur Gauri ki 8ve mein Lakshmi had killer memory

"Haan theek hai deejiye 8 hafte ka time Sita Ram grinned

"Harit bahar padhe hain, do saal chaar saal chhey saal lage hai kayi baar

"Haaan yeh baat theek hai Sita Ram agreed somewhat

"Haldwani mein aapki mausi ki beti, kya naam hai unka...

"Sharada?

"Nahi... munne ka

"Oh Vinay?

"Haan... bahar engineering kare hain, bacha 4.5 saal mein hua hai

Sita Ram sighed leaning back on his easy chair

"Kanoon ki baat karwa lein aap Harit se, ya doston ke saath ghoomne bhejen... biwi se baat karne mein kahe ki sharam

"Sharmeela nahi hai Sita Ram was offended

"Rishu ne hamare aage kitni baar Suman ko chheda hai, aur Harshu... Lakshmi accused

"Kya kahen aapko? Sita Ram had no argument. He was upset and disappointed his son was not making any moves

"Chalen... khaana lagayen Lakshmi got up

The family gathered around the table. There was one chair left by Teeku, Harit pulled it back, sending shockwaves inside her which her face expressed clearly

Sita Ram was shocked to see his DIL self conscious

Harit wasn't paying attention

Avantika appeared really jumpy.

He watched as she gingerly moved her left arm resting by his right, as he began to eat.

The first few time as their arms rubbed he could watch colorw ash over her face, as she played with her food unable to eat

Chandu as usual ruined it, yet another tantrum after watching aloo subzi being served

He started to demand French fries

Left the table eventually as Gauri and Garima watched in shock

After dinner, Harit went to the Philibit Bypass Rd and bought some from Mc Donald's

By then, Teeku had given him a stern lecture and had actually confiscated his iron man as per her promise. He had apologized heartbroken, she had mixed dal chawal and set it on his alphabet mat in his room and sat a few feet across glaring at him

Harit peeked

"So gaye kya? he asked

Chandu saw the super size fries and his eyes lit up, fleeing into Harit's arms

"Kyon laaye aap? Teeku was not happy

"Bacha hai Harit said sheepishly

"Phir hamey na kahen ki Chandu ko hum bigaade hain she walked out in a huff

He handed one of the pouches to Chandu, Gauri and Garima and him chowing down excitedly

Suyash refusing to have any

Teeku went back to her room

"Sab discipline aap ek din mein karengi? he quizzed

"Nahi EK she said in a frustrated voice turning to him

"Its OK... hes a kid he insisted

He chewed on a fry slowly as he spoke

She watched him eat

"Do you want one?

"Bilqul nahi she said prissily

"Gussa Chandan pe hai ya fries par? he chuckled deep throated

"Aap par hai she said firmly

When she realized what she had just said, she looked away

"Avantika he held a fry out amused

"I don't like short fries she told him off

He pulled the longest one out. It hung. She took a step forward and bit half off

Chewed, too afraid to lick the fry salt off her lips. He continued to hold the other half

She bit off leaving an inch of it between her fingers

"I am done she said

"This is yours he said stoically

She extended her palm, he had fed her at their wedding, she really didn't care he even existed at that point. Now he only had to be a 1000 feet away and her Haradar (Harit radar) was going off

He reached for her mouth, she didn't know if she should stick her tongue out or open her mouth

She staggered back, and opened her salty lips with an audible groan

He tucked it in, and held his thumb in a horizontal position, she was terrified to sweep it with her tongue, he instead stroked her lower lip, once... twice... thrice she turned away with a cry

She didn't have to see to know he had licked his thumb, the smacking sound was enough

Woke up for a rather late raid of the fridge.. and surfaced with the slurpy update!!
Haradar is working well here too 😉

Ayyo Nisha - the title almost made me google the word thinking it is some word in Hindi - good that I had the patience to read the whole and understand the meaning using the context and then look for it later. Never imagined it would be Harit radar.

Without even her knowing, she has taken the liberty to be miffed with him. Love the progression! 👏
