The Janmashtami updt is so beautiful, Srutha. It is an interesting take on Yashoda and Nand remembering Krishna coming to them. Their conversation is emotional and yet it has that tinge of happiness that, even in their pain, they cannot ever forget the joy Krishna and Balarama brought them. My most favorite part of the fic though, is how you wrote Yashoda empathizing with Devaki's sacrifice, and feeling happy that her pain has come to an end. So many people portray Yashoda as a selfish and possessive mother who resents Devaki for giving birth to Krishna, and I cannot believe she is like that. The Mother of God can never be selfish, whether she gives birth to him or raises him. I love your portrayal of a kind and empathetic Yashoda, and it's so sweet how Krishna and Balarama, in their childish forms, came back to them to spend Kanha's birthday with them. 😳

Nanda met Lotus eyes, as a heavy surge of paternal love ran all over him, making him want to protect the little baby.

This part has been portrayed so well. I can feel it. Feel Baba's love for Kanha. ❤️

Lotus eyes, dark skin, perfectly chiselled features. How were they all present in an infant? That too, an infant born the day before? Yashoda lost her heart, as the captivating eyes of the baby looked into hers, melting her heart, and making her feel like the most blessed mother in the world.

*dies* *rises and dies again and again* BALAKRISHNA *squeals*

"Their tinkling anklets, mischievous laughter and childish arguments were always the soul of our lives, said Yashoda. "I am sure that both of them simply staged their arguments, to entertain Rohini and I"

I can see this. Their antics, I tell you. 😆

"Maybe that is who they are, said Yashoda. "They could be the reincarnations of Lords Rama and Lakshmana. Their behaviour certainly shows that

"The only difference is, our Rama is more like Lakshmana, and Kanha is more like Rama, said Nanda.

Two cheerful voices sounded, causing the couple to blink in confusion and surprise, as their parental instincts told them that the voices belonged to their Kanha and Rama alone.

"We did. It is, after all, my birthday, said Krishna, grinning and jumping into Nanda's arms. Yashoda scooped up Balarama, and both smiling, sat on the bed, humming lullabies for the two of them, neither questioning the presence of the boys, knowing that it was indeed the said boys who had made it happen.

*takes box of tissues and curls up* So cute. *sniffles*

Is it even possible to have a tuts on how to write? Cause I want them. 😳

People are ridiculous when they ignore Maiya Yashoda's sacrifice as well. However, I know some people who don't like Dwaraka at all 🤢

You are very right. All mothers of Gods are like that, and Maiya Yashoda could never resent Maa Devaki for giving birth to Swami :)
