The Devil Wears Armani

"K Kripa, you ready?" Alliyah asked, excited.

"Not really no" Kripa replied. Alliyah rolled her eyes.

"Why did I even ask?" she muttered and went inside of the mall. Kripa signed and followed her. The minute she stepped through the doors, she wanted to run. Shopping was an activity that Kripa absolutely and completely detested. Alliyah noticed her panicked look and grabbed her arm.

"Oh no you're not. We are not leaving until you are looking like a girl!"

"Hey! I do look like a girl!!" Kripa exclaimed. "Sure I don't look like a pretty one, but I do look like a girl!"

"Kripa, have you ever noticed how the construction workers never whistled at you? And you walked by them every day for the past three months!"

"Well I walk by them cuz it's the only way to reach the apartment! And so what? Like I said, Im not a pretty girl!"

"Honey, those guys whistle at any girl….fat or skinny, tall or short, pretty or ugly….as long as they are girls…well, unless the construction workers are gay, but I don't think any of those guys are." Alliyah said.

"Fine! So let's go on with things shall we? God." Kripa said, defeated and desperately wanting to change the topic. Alliyah smirked.

"Yes lets." She said.

Five hours later, Alliyah clapped her hands over her mouth and blinked. The girl standing in front of her wasn't the Kripa Sharma everyone knew. This girl was a new Kripa Sharma. One that was actually looking like a girl.

"w-wow" Alliyah stammered, her face flushed. Kripa smiled. She liked the sound of that.

"Can I please see myself now???" she questioned, impatient. Alliyah dumbly nodded. Kripa headed over to the full length mirror in the salon. She gasped and blinked twice. This was unbelievable. Kripa had never in her life seen herself look like this…not even at prom, when she had actually worn a dress and make-up. After entering the mall, Alliyah and Kripa had practically shopped at every singlestore, purchasing clothes, shoes and god knows what else as they went along. Alliyah had graciously picked up the tab (well not really, since she worked at MMN, fashion-extordinare, she got dibs on all the stores. Basically these people gave Kripa and Alliyah royal treatment the minute Alliyah showed them her worker ID, hoping and praying that maybe, just maybe, Alliyah would like their stuff and put in a good word with the magazine. Cuz well, everyone knows, once your in MMN, your in thefashion world.)

So now Kripa had two wardrobes- casual stuff from A&E, Hollister, ect, and brand named formal outfits for work. And her hair. Wow. It was as shiny as a model's, and just as straight. Plus it was a brown color that shone copper when it hit the light. She touched it and it surprisingly felt soft; Kripa's mom had always told her that if she did something to her that wasn't natural, her hair would fall and be coarse.

"w-wow" Kripa said. Alliyah who had regained her composure, nodded.

"I like. Alliyah likes." She said, smiling. "I think that you're ready for your interview!"

"Dude, finally! Do you think ill do, like, good, cuz it's like all gonna piss me off all dis is fo nutin." Kripa said in her slang.

Alliyah signed. "No actually you need to learn how to act like a lady." She signed again. "You can put a girl in couture but you can't put couture in a girl…"

"Hey!" Kripa exclaimed, frowning.

"Im just stating the fact hun. Deal." Alliyah said. She walked over to the million shopping bags and peered in each one. Finally, she took out a pair of shoes and looked at it. "Hmm. I think these are nice with that outfit…" She walked over to Kripa and held the 5" heels in front of her.

Kripa grimaced. She hated heels. "I don't wanna wear dat!"

"Krips, you're 5'3 tall! You know how short that is in the fashion world?! You're gonna be interviewing for a fashion magazine so you gotta look your best…and looking your best involved being tall. Now shut up, listen to me, and wear the darn arse shoes."

"I don't know why you can't just say dam* as*…"Kripa grumbled, as she slipped the shoes on. She was instantly elevated by five feet and she felt like she was wearing stilts.

"See? You look better already!" Alliyah smiled.

"Ya but how the hel* am I supposed to move?!"

"Well, you have to practice. That's what I did and look how successful I am now!"

Kripa looked at herself. She did look better. Actually now she looked more than better…she looked like a model. Smiling, she struck a pose, by crossing her legs at the ankles, and fell.

At exactly 12 am, Kripa and Alliyah popped open a bottle of Wine and celebrated. Kripa was ready…actually, she was more than ready. She could talk the talk, and walk the walk. Looking at her, people would think she was born in heels and that she grew up wearing make up all day. She was stunning and Alliyah even went as far as to say that Kripa was more beautiful than most of the models the magazine worked with. Kripa had smiled and laughed lightly.

But Kripa knew that she shouldn't lose herself. She would always have that tom-boyish, funny side to her, and she would often reveal it. She wasn't another Barbie in the fashion world- she looked like one, but she had the brains of a geek. She was an excellent package. One that everyone would want. But the question was- Would the devil in Armani want her??

That was the part! I had planned on Angad's intro in the part but that wasn't possible because I stretched this part out to much. But most definitely he will be in the next part. The next part will mostly be abt him and Kripa interacting. So that should be fun! Well I hope. I also hope that you guys liked this part and will comment-8 and I continue! I am going to continue Thrill Ride next cuz everyone wants me to so look out for that! K 8 and I continue!
