A/N: In my story, Ragini is equally beautiful to CK or even more beautiful than her. I don't buy that CK is the most beautiful girl in the world as it seems so unrealistic and also no one has proof for the same. They both are definitely not the most beautiful girls in the world but two of the most beautiful girls in the world😊. I now hate those childhood fairy tales where in every story, the heroines were said to be the most beautiful girl in the world. SD may surely have bad eyes on Ragini also in future along with definitely CK.
Part 7: Devgiri Falling For Champa
CK sits next to her mother. CK was so happy to see her mother and vice versa. RG looked at CK's wounds. She saw them earlier but was too happy to see her daughter to ask about them.
"Beta, tumhe ye chot kaise lagi? asked RG.
"Bahot lambi kahaani hai, replied CK.
"Dheere dheere mujhe sab bata do, said RG.
CK starts telling her everything that went in her life from the time she saw Viru and SD's proposal came to her till what happened now. It took her 2 hours to tell her everything. RG was showing different emotions of shock, happiness, sadness and anger.
"Itna sab hua tumhaare zindagi me. Kaash main tumhaare saath hoti, said RG emotionally.
"Abhi bhi kuch nahi bigda hai, maa. Jo humaara hai vo hume hi milega. Vijaygarh pe sirf hum dono raaj karenge Kamini aur Mayur nahi, said CK with determination.
Viru who was walking outside heard the above two dialogues between CK and her mother. He stopped to listen. He felt as if something serious is going to be talked about.
"Aur tumhaare pitaji? asked RG confused that she did not even talked about him.
"Kis pitaji ki baat kar rahi hai aap, maa? Jinhone uss daayan se shaadi ki jo meri zindagi barbaad karna chaahti hai aur mujhe maarna chaahti hai? Jinhone mujhe uss bhediye Shiv Dutt ke paas chhodne se pehle ek baar bhi nahi socha ki main itna sab hone ke baad uss insaan ke saath kaise rahungi? Jinhone ek putra ke liye uss daayan se shaadi ki taaki unhe Vijaygarh ke takht ke liye uttaradhikari mile? Inn sab me main aur aap kahaan hai, maa? asked CK angrily, "Vo hum dono se pyaar nahi karte hai. Aapke jaane ko ek saal bhi nahi huve the ki vo uss daayan se shaadi karke use humaare ghar laaye. Jo aadmi mujhe apni daasi banaana chaahta tha aur mujhe sabke saamne nirvashtra karna chaahta tha vo usse meri shaadi karvaane ka prastaav(proposal) Tej Singh se sweekaar ka liya. Vo mere pitaji nahi ho sakte hai, maa.
RG felt bad at daughter's outburst. She felt guilty at not being with her.
"Beta, tum jo bhi karogi main tumhaare saath hu. Main tumhe akela nahi chhodungi tumhaare pitaji ki tarah. Main tumhaara bharosa nahi todungi, said RG emotionally.
"Hum Kamini aur Mayur ko jeetne nahi denge. Vijaygarh ki pehli maharani aap hai aur pehli aulaad main isliye Vijaygarh sirf humaara hai, said CK without any emotion.
"Tum sahi keh rahi ho, putri. Vijaygarh sirf humaara hai, said CK.
"Maa, chalo so jaate hai. Main aapke saath itne saal baad soungi, said CK as she lied down.
"Haan, chalo so jaate hai, said RG as she lied next to her.
RG looked at her sleeping daughter worriedly. Viru who was seeing everything too was worried for CK and also her mother. He can understand CK's pain as he suffered a lot at the hands of the man who he considered his father but he only used him for his own benefits. He too wants to help CK in doing what she wants. RG kissed CK's forehead and closed her eyes to sleep.
Viru came in RG's room to see how are both mother and daughter. Viru looks at CK and recalls what all she said about her father some minutes ago. His eyes fell on CK's wounds on all 4 places. He recalls her telling him how she got these wounds. RG who was still awake saw Viru entering the room and looking at CK. She pretended to sleep as she wanted to see what he does. Viru picks up an ointment box from a nearby table. He goes near CK and starts applying ointment on her wounds gently. First he applies ointment on her forehead bruise, then on her wrist, then on her neck and finally on her arm. He took extra care while applying on her arm as it was a knife wound which was more severe than her other wounds. When he was done applying ointment, he covered her with a blanket and smiled at her sleeping peacefully.
"Kitni ajeeb hai ye. Tilchatta(cockroach in hindi) se darke chillaati hai par bicchu se ladna jaanti hai. Bhagwan ka shukar hai bicchu tumhe kaat nahi paayi, said Viru with a smile looking at her.
RG whose eyes were still opened smiled on seeing all this. Viru left the room.
"Virendra meri putri ka kitna khyaal rakhta hai. Use hi aisa hi ladke ki jarurat apni zindagi me humesha khush rehne ke liye na ki Shiv Dutt jaise jo uski zindagi barbaad kar deta, said RG.
Scene shifts to Vijaygarh. Devgiri was pacing in CK's room wearing a short night dress(that CK wore in her introduction scene). Devgiri was tired from acting like CK.
"Kya museebat hai rajkumari Chandrakanta banne ki. Ladkiyon jaise kapde pehno, itne saare gehne pehno, Champa-Chapla ki chapar-chapar jhelo aura b ye itne chhote night dress pehno, complained Devgiri, "Thodi der main apne roop me aa jaata hu. Koi nahi hai yaha.
Devgiri comes into his original form. To his shock, he notices Champa standing at the door and catching him transforming from CK in his original form. Champa comes in the room.
"Kaun ho tum? Rajkumari kahan hai? asked Champa.
She was about to pull the strings to ring the bell to call everyone but Devgiri quickly caught her from behind and when she tried to scream he covered her mouth with his hand.
"Main Rajkumar Virendra ka aiyyaar Devgiri hu. Rajkumari Chandrakanta surakshit hai Rajkumar Virendra ke paas. Kuch din tak main yahi rahunga. Rajkumar ne rajkumari ko uss Shiv Dutt se bachaane ke liye kidnap kiya tha aur maine unka jagah le liya, said Devgiri.
Champa was shocked at what he said while struggling in his hold.
"Dekho, mera aur rajkumar ka koi galat iraada nahi hai. Hume rajkumari ki sachmuch fikar hai. Aaj jo khaana maine khaaya usme zeher tha par maine zeher ka kaat le liya tha. Socho agar meri jagah rajkumari hoti to unhe pata bhi nahi chalta ki isme zeher hai. Mujhe Kamini aur Mayur ke plan ke baare me tab pata chala tha jab main makkhi bankar unke kamre me gaya tha. Main haath hata raha hu. Rajkumari ki khaatir tum please mat chillaana, said Devigiri.
Champa nodded her head. He took his hand off her mouth.
"Tum rajkumari ke roop me vapas aa jao isse pehle tumhe koi aur dekh le, said Champa.
Devgiri left her and came back in CK's form.
"Rajkumari vaha thik to hai na? asked Champa, "Mera matlab Marich bhi vaha hai.
"Rajmumar Chunargarh ke unke kille me hai Marich ke mahal me nahi, replied Devgiri, "Rajkumar ne Marich aur Pandit Jagannath ko baat karte huve suna ki vo Marich ka beta hai hi nahi. Marich ne use kisi Rajmahal se uthaakar apne bete ko uske jagah par rakh diya tha.
He then tells her how Chunargarh is divided into 2 parts with more than half khunkhaars on Viru's side and about Viru's threat to Marich. He also told her how he helped Viru in rescuing CK's mother(in my story, Devgiri helped Viru not Badri as Badri will later turn on SD's side). He then tells her how they planned CK's kidnapping along with JA and Tej Singh. Champa was amazed at Viru for still caring for CK after so much happened when he was exposed.
"Rajkumar uss din itna sab hone ke baad bhi rajkumari ke baare me sochte hai, said Champa.
"Kuch jyaada hi sochte hai. Aaj main unke saamne rajkumari ke roop me gaya to mujhe ghoorte hi jaa rahe the aur poochhne par bole ki unhone rajkumari ko pehli baar usi kapdon me dekha tha. Unke chehre ka expression ab tak yaad hai mujhe, said Devgiri.
Champa started laughing at this.
"Tum has kyu rahi ho? asked Devgiri embarrassingly.
"Ye soch kar ki tumhaari kya haalat huvi hogi jab rajkumar tumhe ghoor rahe the, replied Champa still laughing, "Tumhaare to hosh hi udd gaye honge.
"Chup karo tum, said Devgiri getting annoyed.
"Thik hai, said Champa but could not stop laughing.
Devgiri even though he was annoyed he got lost into her laughing. Champa noticed him looking lost and snapped her fingers in front of him. Devgiri came to reality.
"Kaha kho gaye ho? asked Champa.
"Kahi nahi, replied Devgiri and asked, "Vaise tum yaha kyu aayi thi?
"Main tumse matlab rajkumariji se ye kehne aayi thi ki vo maharani aur rajmumar Mayur se chhutkaara paane ke liye jald hi kuch sochne lage, replied Champa.
"Abhi yaha kuch din main hi rahunga. To tab tak hum dono aur Chapla ko hi sab kuch karna padega. Tum mujhe sab kuch batao ki tum teeno ne Shiv Dutt ko kaise maara tha aur rajkumari ne Shyamala ko kaise maara. Iss mahal ke sabhi logon ke baare me aur jo ho sake mujhe batao taaki kisi ko bhanak bhi na lage ki main rajkumari Chandrakanta nahi hu, said Devgiri.
"Thik hai, said Champa.
Champa started telling him how they killed SD and how CK killed Shyamala. She tells him some more important things about everyone which will help him act well as CK.
"Tum bewakoof ho jo apne roop me aa gaye. Meri jagah koi aur tumhe dekh leta to tum museebat me pad jaate. Kal se tum zeherwaala khaana mat khaana, asked Champa.
"Kya karu main tang aa gaya tha rajkumari bankar aur upar se ye itne chhote kapde pehenna pad raha hai mujhe raat ko. Ab main apne roop me nahi aaunga. Kal se main zeherwaala khaana nahi khaaunga. Main kuch sochunga ki kya karna hai, said Devgiri.
"Bechaara Devgiri ko ladki jaise rehna pad raha hai, teased Devgiri and laughed.
"Tum firse mere upar hasna shuru ho gayi, said Devgiri.
"Sorry, said Champa and stopped laughing.
Champa recalled him helping her with the dress and got embarrassed.
"Vo tum the jisne mujhe kapde pehnaane me madad ki, said Champa shockingly.
"Tum nahi jaanti kitna mushkil tha mere liye, said Devgiri shockingly.
"Hume pehle hi thoda samajh jaana chaahiye tha ki tum rajkumari nahi ho kyunki rajkumari mere aur Chapla ke saamne maharaj ko pitaji nahi par maharaj bolti hai, said Champa.
"Kyu? asked Devgiri.
"Kyunki vo unse naraaz hai, replied Champa, "Main abhi sone jaati hu. Tum bhi so jao.
"Thik hai, tum Chapla ko mere baare me bata dena, said Devgiri.
"Haan, said Champa.
Scene shifts to Chunargarh fort. It was morning. CK was getting up from her sleep. As she sits up and opens her eyes, she realizes that she forgot that she is not at her palace but in Chunargarh due to Viru kidnapping her. She looks at her mother who was still sleeping.
"Viru ke vajah se mujhe itne saalo baad meri maa mili hai, said CK.
She realized that she called him Viru instead of Virendra. She then realized that she is covered with a blanket which she had not earlier when she fell asleep. She then looks at her wounds and realized that someone has applied ointment again on her wound.
"Maa ne hi ye sab kiya hoga. Aur kaun ho sakta hai? said CK.
Ragini enters the room.
"Arey tum uth gayi Roshni, said Ragini.
"Abhi abhi uthi hu. Maa ab tak so rahi hai, said CK.
Just then, RG also wakes up.
"Maa bhi uth gayi, said CK.
"Aap dono naashta karne ke liye taiyaar ho jaaiye, said Ragini.
"Main maa ke saath naashta karungi, said CK.
"Thik hai, main bhi aap dono ke saath naashta karungi, said Ragini.
Scene shifts to Naugarh. Tej Singh and JA were talking in JA's room.
"Bhaiyya ab tak nahi aaye, said JA.
"Pata nahi maharaj kahan gaye honge, said Tej Singh.
"Agar bhaiyya nahi aaye to hume chachaji ko vapas Naugarh ke maharaj ke takht par bitha dena chaahiye, said JA, "Kisi ko to takht par baithna hi padega na.
"Aap bhi baith sakte hai, said Tej Singh.
"Mujhe takht pe baithne ka koi shauk nahi hai. Main to bhaiyya ko isliye takht se hataana chaahta tha taaki vo logon ko khaas karke rajkumari Chandrakanta ko tang na kare, said JA.
"Rajkumari Chandrakanta se yaad aaya, pata nahi vo kaisi hogi rajkumar Virendra ke saath. Aap to jaante hi hai ki unn dono ki dosti toot chuki hai, said Tej Singh.
"Mujhe to dosti se jyaada kuch aur lagta hai. Mujhe lagta hai ki vo dono ek doosre se pyaar karte hai par khud nahi jaante hai. Maine unn dono ki madad ki kyunki main nahi chaahta tha ki bhaiyya ek ladki ki zindagi barbaad kare aur ek aur kaaran tha. Vo ye hai ki apne pyaar se door hone se bahot dard hota hai isliye main chaahta hu ki vo dono ko apne pyaar ka ehsaas ho. Rajkumari Chandrakanta ke liye bhaiyya nahi rajkumar Virendra hi sahi ladka hai, said JA.
"Aap aaj kal bahot pyaar ki baatein karte hai, said Tej Singh.
"Tum nahi samjhoge, said JA sadly.
Scene shifts to Chunargarh fort.CK and RG had bathed and changed into other clothes. CK was wearing a beautiful yellow dress. After having breakfast, Ragini went outside to others.
"Beta, tum bhi baahar apne doston ke paas jao, said RG.
"Aur aap? asked CK.
"Tum mere paas baad me aa jaana. Mere khyaal rakhne ke liye 2 daasiyan hai, replied RG, "Tum apne doston ke saath thoda waqt bitaogi to tumhe acchha lagega.
"Thik hai, maa, said CK.
RG wanted her daughter to spend time with others especially Ragini and Viru so that she will feel better after what all she went through and still going through due to Kamini and Mayur.
"Main aapka samaan uske kamre se yahaan shift kar dungi, said one of the daasis.
"Thik hai, said CK.
CK went outside to others.
"Tum bhi aa gayi, said Ragini.
"Maa chaahti thi ki main tum sabke saath waqt bitaun, said CK.
"Acchha aao humaare saath baitho, said Ragini.
CK sat next to her on the floor. She looked at Virendra.
"Mujhe poora jaanna hai ki tum sab ne mujhe agvaah karne ka plan kaise banaaya, said CK.
He told her everything about JA and Tej Singh asking his help after she refused JA's request to not marry SD. He tells her that it was Tej's idea to kidnap her and how he refused at first not liking the idea to kidnap a girl but later agreed on thinking about SD's nature. He tells her what SD told to JA before he left the palace for his date with her. CK was shocked that at how they all planned her kidnapping and disgusted at what SD told JA before leaving the house.
"Kitna gira hua hai ye aadmi, said CK in a disgusted tone.
"Chhodo na abhi. Ab to vo marr gaya hai, said Viru to calm her.
"Mujhe yakeen nahi hota hai ki Tej Singh bhi inn sab me shaamil tha. Jai Aditya ne mujhse kaha tha ki main Shiv Dutt se shaadi na karu. Maine Shiv Dutt ka support karne ke liye uske saamne naatak kiya kyunki main uske bhai pe kaise bharosa kar sakti thi vo bhi humaari pehli mulaakat pe. Kya pata Shiv Dutt ne hi use bheja ho mujhe test karne ke liye. Par isne to sachmuch meri madad ki. Vishwas nahi hota hai ki ye Shiv Dutt ka bhai hai, said CK.
Ragini feels uncomfortable hearing Jai Aditya's name again and again. She then recalls JA's hurtful lines in her mind Tumne soch bhi kaise liya ki main rajkumar Jai Aditya tum jaisi gareeb ladki se pyaar karunga. Kahan main aur kahan tum. Tum jaisi kayi ladkiyon ke saath maine time pass ki hai iska matlab ye nahi sabse pyaar kar baithu. Aaj ke baad hum dono kabhi nahi milenge'. She felt her eyes moist and controlled her tears from falling down.
"Kahan kho gayi tum? asked Viru looking at her.
"Kahi nahi, replied Ragini.
"Wah! Jab tum chaaron mujhe shaadi se uthaane ka plan bana rahe tab main, Champa aur Chapla Shiv Dutt ko duniya se uthaane ka plan bana rahe the, said CK while laughing.
Others too started laughing with what she said.
"Chalo hum talvarbaazi practice karte hai, said Angad.
"Haan chalo, said Viru
"Hum dono bhi karte hai, said Ragini to CK.
"Par mera talvar to mere mahal me hai, said CK.
"Koi baat nahi, yaha bahot saare hathiyaar hai, said Ragini.
CK picked up a sword from the side where many swords and other weapons were kept.
"Kal ki tarah ek doosre ki jaan mat le lena, teased Raghav.
"Chup kar, said Ragini glaring at him.
"Sorry, said Raghav.
Some starts practicing sword fight while some were sharpening the weapons. Viru was practicing with Angad. CK and Ragini started their practice. Both the girls were giving tough fight to each other. They were the only girls who took part in activities of self-defense and other fighting skills among the 10 girls that were in the camp. They wanted to learn these things too that usually only boys learn. This is also one of the main reason of their bonding along with them being living in the same tent. They learnt all these things as they were interested in learning them so that they could protect themselves when needed.

#Kamini starts hitting CK accusing her to be an aiyyaar and calling everyone in the hall to prove her point. Kamini orders Nazim to expose the aiyyaar while others look on shockingly.
# Jai Singh, Kamini and Mayur comes in the main hall and are shocked to see CK sitting on the ruler's throne in a black dress wearing a small crown and holding a sword in her hand. They are shocked to know that CK did taktha palat of her father. CK taunts them that no one wants a king who was sending her own daughter to a wolf like Shiv Dutt not caring about her feelings.
A/N: Kaveriw2008 guessed it right that there is something between Ragini and Jai Aditya. In this part, I showed a little about their past from Ragini's side while Jai Aditya is shown to be lost in thoughts about his lost love. Next part can get big so I may again divide into A and B parts or may writing as a single part only with more pages. In this part, CK calls Virendra as Viru once but no one hears it and then realizing what she said.
