Prologue

"... And the CEO of the year award goes to Mr Siddhart Khanna, Have a huge round of applause for him. I request Mr Khanna come on the stage and receive the honorable award." The host of the event announced.

The huge auditorium filled with the claps, Siddhart Khanna walked on the stage and received the award from the chief guest of the event, "I request Mr Khanna to say something." The host offered him the mike.

Siddhart smiled and received the mike from him, "What will I Say?" He sighed looking at the award. "I guess, today someone will be more happy than me." He said looking the audience. "You know, people says, there's a woman behind every successful man and today I live the fact in real. Today the business world choose me as the best CEO of the year, today whatever I'm.. There's one woman behind my success and she's none other than my beautiful wife, Khushi." Khushi who was sitting in the middle of the audience smiled seeing her husband receiving the award. "Her prayer, her trust on me became my strength and that made me confident that I can do that. And yes, today I achieve. So, Khushi thank you for supporting me." Hearing his compliment, she smiled. "Khushi, now I request you to come on the stage please."

"No.." She shyly said with shaking her head.

"Please..!"

She smiled and gets up from her chair, she walked towards the stage when Siddhart being a gentleman helped her to climb on the stage. "She's my beautiful wife, Khushi Siddhart Khanna. And soon we are going to be parents. So, thank you Khushi for coming into my life." He side hugged her with a smile.

"Congralulations Mr and Mrs Khanna." The host congratulated them.

As the event finished, the party was going in full swing. Khushi was with her husband, everyone praising the couple when a business client came to them and congratulate them. "Thank you Mr saxena." Sid replied with a smile.

"Oh.. Mrs Khanna, you're looking gorgeous..! If you don't mind Mr Khanna, may I have the pleasure to dance with your wife?" Mr Saxena asked.

Khushi looked at Sid and replied, "No.. I don't like to..." But Siddhart cut her saying, "Go, Khushi."

"But.." She hesitated.

"Go.."

Khushi smiled slightly and walked on the dance floor with Mr Saxena, they danced together whereas Sid gets busy with his clients but his eyes kept on Khushi. Other side, Khushi wasn't liking to dance, so she left the floor midway and joined her husband. As Khushi stood beside Sid, he pulled her close by her waist and whispered, "Had fun?"

Khushi looked up at him surprise and at the same time nervous. "Sid.. I.."

"I was joking baby." He smiled seeing her worried, Khushi didn't reacted on his word and remained silent.

Siddhart and Khushi walked in their house. Khushi was going to her room silently when Sid called her, "Khushi?" Her heart skipped, she nervously looked at him, "Y-yes."

"Can you keep the award on the self?" He politely asked handing her the award.

"O-okay." She nodded and left from there. She kept the award on the self and looked up at their room nervous. With slow steps, she asked in her room and saw Sid was relaxing on the bed. Khushi stopped at the doorway seeing his so calm. "Come baby. And close the door behind you."

Khushi walked in and close the door, she turned and saw Sid was standing very close to her. "Sid.." She started sweating profusely.

"Baby, today I didn't compliment your beauty. Isn't?" Sid asked trailing his finger tip from her forehead to cheek. "So what? Someone else did it." His eyes were red and his calm look changed into aggressive.

"Sid.. I.." She stammered.

"Did you like his compliment? What he said.." He asked stepping back from her and scratched his forehead, "Yeah.." All of sudden he clutched her cheeks in between his two figure, "Gorgeous. Right?"

Meanwhile. Khushi started crying. "Well from which side, he found you gorgeous?" He checked out her. "Oh.. From this way that you were showing your belly.." He trailed his figure on her belly.

"Sid.. I.. I hadn't done anything Sid, please." She cried.

"Yes damn it.. You hadn't done it anything and that's your sin." He said furiously while banging his fist on the wall making her horrified with his action. Sid pulled her close by the shoulder asking, "Didn't you notice he was staring at you? Don't you know no one has right to stare at you? Or... Or you were enjoying.." He furiously said. Khushi was trembling in fear when Sid stepped back and sat on the bed, "My.. My wife was enjoying his attention. That's why.." He again harshly pushed her to the wall saying, "That's why you joined him on the dance floor right."

"No.. No Sid. You.. you told.." She stammered.

"I told you. Yes, I told you but that doesn't mean you should join him."

"I.. I am sorry Sid." She cried.

Sid was looking around and he grabbed the knife from the table asking, "Okay.. Take it." She looked at him shock, "TAKE IT.." He shouted when Khushi took the knife from him. "Good. Now cut your wrist."

"Siddhart..!"

"I'm asking you.. Do it..! You obey my words then do it. Cut your wrist Khushi." He forced her.

"Sid.. Siddhart..!" She tried hard not to hurt herself.

"I SAID CUT YOUR WRIST KHUSHI...!" Being terrified with his shout, she dropped the knife. "If you couldn't hurt yourself on my order then how could you dance with him?" He gritted. "Okay, you entertain him by dancing. Now let's dance with me." He said pulling her close forcefully.

He clutched her wrist tightly and held her around her waist, "Did you enjoy his touch?" She struggled in his grip. "Let's dance Khushi." He forcefully swayed their bodies. "Seems, you aren't enjoying." Saying this he pushed her on the bed.

"Sid please leave me. I.. I am pregnant." She begged.

"Khushi, why did you go with him?" He asked broken. "You know, I don't like to hurt you but your deeds made me helpless and I couldn't control myself. I love you Khushi.. But you? Why did you do this Khushi? Couldn't I satisfy you that you went to him?" He asked leaning on her.

"Sid, believe me. There's nothing like this." She sobbed.

"No. It's what I'm thinking. I couldn't satisfy you that's why you went to him. Did he satisfy you?" Khushi cried vigorously and begged. "No? Then I'll show you how to satisfy.." And he forcefully takes a grip on her both hands and Khushi screamed in pain.

Middle of the night, Khushi managed to grab the blanket as her entire body was aching in pain, she covered herself and cried burying her face in the pillow.

"You know my child, Jesus always send someone in our life who will love us deeply and Siddharth is the person. I know you both will live happily together." Khushi remembered how the mother of her orphanage said when she introduced Sid with her. She looked at him who was sleeping beside him and recalled their first meeting and for Khushi it was love at first sight then after many meetings Sid eventually fall for her and they decided to get married but after their wedding, Sid faced a huge loss in business and after that Sid started behaving impulsive, he had a fear to loose Khushi as he had nothing that time and Khushi's every move create a doubt in his mind. He used to doubt her when he saw guys talking with her and sometimes he couldn't take control on his anger and he raised his hand on her but Khushi accepted it as she thought her love would change her. But every passing time, his madness reached on it's peak but still Khushi tried to make him believe on her love when before a months, Khushi got a news that she is pregnant and when Sid got to know about the news, he promised her that he'll change his behavior. But he couldn't keep his words.

Thinking about her fateful life, she saw the morning rays. Still sleep was far away from her eyes. With lots of difficulty, Khushi woke up and went inside the washroom, she looked herself in the mirror, the injured marks were visible on her face, seeing the marks on her, she recalled the last night and she had the quivers in her body, he hands turned cold in fear and tears made their way from her eyes. Khushi collapsed on the floor crying. She was sitting on the same position for next half an hour. And then she walked under the shower. She was standing under cold shower like a lifeless body. She looked at her hand which was injured as well. Khushi was crying bitterly as things were getting over her head, she understood how many times she tried but he won't change and now she can't stay with him like this, she tolerated but everything has a limit. Khushi's chain of thoughts broke when she heard Sid calling her from room. She quickly took her shower and walked out horrified. Sid looked at her and walked to her, seeing him coming closer to her, she stepped back and hit with a wall, she tried to escape but found him close to her. Sid looked at her and took her hand in him, Khushi hesitated.

"Khushi, I am sorry. I know, whatever I had done last night was wrong but you know how I am.. I just can't tolerate if anyone... But leave it..! I promise I won't react in this way next time. I am sorry." Khushi looked at him, she could feel the guilt in his eyes but this time, she made her mind.

"Khushi please talk to me. Your silence kills me."

"Then why you do such things which hurts me?" She asked crying.

"Khushi.. Khushi stop crying." He wiped her tears when he noticed the injury at the corner of her lip. He rubbed the place when she moaned. "I.. I am sorry Khushi." and he pulled her in his embrace. "I promise Khushi I won't hurt you ever. Please forgive me for the last time."

Khushi didn't response to his hug, a tear rolled out from her eyes, "I am sorry Sid but I can't give my child a good upbringing if I stay with you. I have to leave you for my child." She thought.

Khushi was alone in the house when she decided to leave the house, she packed her belongings and went to open the door but found it locked from outside. She recalled the watchman from the window and asked him to open the door.

"Sorry madam ji but sir took the keys with him and strictly instructed me not to open the door. I am sorry I can't." Saying this he left when Khushi helplessly cried.

She was clueless about how to escape from this hell. She placed her hand on her stomach. "Don't worry baby. Mamma will keep you happy always. I know you won't have your dad with you but mumma promise you, she will give you so much love that you will not feel to have your father with you." She cried. "But how will I escape?" She was thinking when her phone rang, she gets terrified seeing his name but she normally talk with him.

In the entire day, Khushi was finding way to escape but she didn't get any ideas and moreover she had no family, no friends who can help her. She spend her entire day in her thoughts but didn't get any solutions, so she decided to postpone as it was time to Sid's arrival. Next few days left normal, he behaved so nicely with her, he took her good care and that made her weak again but this time she stands on her decision and so on such day, Khushi planned a surprise dinner for Sid.

Sid was overwhelmed seeing the surprise. "What's all?" He asked.

Khushi smiled, she made him sit on the sofa and handing him a drink saying, "I have seen you these days taking so much care for me. So I thought to give you a small surprise in my way." He smiled and enjoyed his drink meanwhile Khushi saw him smiling and recalled how she lied about her health before a day and went to clinic with him and without his knowledge, she bought sleeping pills and today before handing him the drink she spiked with the pills.

"You know Khushi I am trying to change myself for you, for our baby." He said sipping the drink when her smile flew away, she wished if he could that before then she wouldn't have done all this today. Soon in no time, the pills reacted inside his body and he drifted in sleep. Once Khushi confirmed, she didn't wait there anymore and left the house, leaving a note on the table.

Khushi was walking aimlessly on the road, as she has no where to go this time when she decided to leave the city by morning as if she stayed here, Sid can find her using the man power. With the thought, she started walking towards the station. After walking few kilometers, she gets tired and so she slow down her walking speed when few boys passed by the road and seeing her alone on the deserted road, they started irritating her. Seeing them, she again walked in a speed when suddenly, she was hit by the car and thankfully the car wasn't in a speed so she didn't get hurt much but due to weakness, Khushi fainted right there.

This is just prologue of the story. From first chapter I'll introduce ASR and the journey of Arshi will start. Hope you like the part. Will wait for the replies.
