Chapter 38


Smiling, blushing and with a huge smile on her face, Naina reaches in front of Pooja's house. She stops in her tracks and her smile vanishes as she thinks about Payal. How will she tell Payal the truth about Rajveer being her father? It is going to be hard but she has to tell Payal because now, they will all be living together as a happy family!

With tons of courage, Naina rings the doorbell. Within seconds, Payal runs towards the door and opens it up. A huge smile creeps on her face as she finds Naina standing at the door.

"Mama!!!", yells Payal in excitement as she runs towards Naina and huge her legs, due to her small height.

Naina immediately picks her princess up in her arms . Payal puts her small hands around Naina's neck and gives her a warm hug.

"Kya meri princess ne apni Mama ko miss kia?", questions Naina smiling

"Bohut sara!!", replies Payal.

With that, they both head inside and sit at a couch as they wait for Pooja to come downstairs. In the meantime, Naina decides to talk to payal about Rajveer.

Sitting at a couch, Naina pulls Payal closer and Payal lands on Naina's lap.

"Payal mama ko aap ko kuch batana hai", says Naina softly

"Payal sun rahi hai mama!", replies Payal cutely

"Beta aap ka kabhi dil nahi karta ke aap apne papa ke baray mein jaano?", questions Naina

Payal cups Naina's face with her little hands and gives her a small kiss on her forehead.

"Mama Payal ne aapko ek din rotay dekha tha jab Naveen mamu ne aapse Papa ke baray mein sawal kia. Payal apni mama se bohut pyaar karti hai issi liye Payal aisa kuch bhi nahi janna chahti jis se meri mama roye", replies Payal

Naina's eyes starts tearing up as she hears such words from her little baby. She feels sven more guilty for hiding Rajveer from Payal and Payal from Rajveer.

"Kya aap ab janna chahti ho apne papa ke baray mein my baby?", questions Naina

Payal's eyes twinkles at the thought of knowing about her father. Her mind goes back to the incident that took place earlier and she remembers Rajveer's touch. Tears starts to take place in Payal's eyes.

Seeing that, Naina immediately wipes Payal's tears away and kisses her forehead.

"Ji mama! Mujhe papa ke baray mein bataiye", requests Payal sweetly

Smiling, Naina pulls Payal even closer and gives her a tight hug.

"Payal aapko yaad hai aaj aap kisi se mili thi?", questions Naina

"Ji mana! Kon thay wo?", questions Payal

Naina closes her eyes tightly in order to gather some courage up to speak..

"Papa hain wo aapke or wo apni princess se bohut pyaar karte hain"

Comes a voice from the main door. Naina immediately opens her eyes. This drags the attention of both Payal and Naina. Looking towards the direction, they find none other than Payal's father and Naina's husband, Rajveer!

There he stands at the door, smiling, yet tears are evident in his eyes which he tries to hold back, but fails to hide his emotions in front of his daughter.

Hearing this, Payal immediately gets off from Naina's lap and runs towards Rajveer. Tears takes place in Payal's eyes as she learns the truth. These tears are of happiness as she is finally meeting her father.

As soon as Payal reaches him, Rajveer immediately pulls her up in his arms while Payal puts her arms around his neck and gives him a hug, tightly.

"Papa!!", mumbles Payal softly between her sobs.

Rajveer's heart skips a beat as he hears his daughter calling him "papa" for the first time. And what breaks his heart is seeing his daughter cry. Today he has realised that not only in Naina's eyes, but he cannot see tears in Payal's eyes as well. He just met his daughter but the connection he feels towards her is priceless which cannot be described in words.

Breaking the hug, Rajveer sits on the floor while Payal sits on his lap.

"I am sorry my princess ke mein itne dino tak aapse door raha! I love you darling", says Rajveer sobbing.

Payal's heart breaks seeing her father cry. She immediately cups his face and gives him a kiss on the cheek.

"I love you too papa! Please aap Payal ko sorry mut kahiye", says Payal

This gestures of Payal swells Rajveer's heart with so much love for his daughter. He showers her with so many kisses.

Naina has been watching this from the distance and there are tears in her eyes, tears of happiness. Finally Payal got what she wanted, her father! Naina's heart fills with so much love seeing the father-daughter bond. Today, she feels as her life is complete with the two most important people of her life, her husband and her daughter.

Walking towards them, Naina puts a hand on Payal's shoulder. Payal looks towards Naina and gives her a warm and a big smile. Picking Payal up in his arms, Rajveer stands up and gives Naina a smile. Naina is so glad that he is here with her as they disclose the truth to Payal.

"Payal ko ek family hug chahiye", demands Payal sweetly.

Naina and Rajveer both laugh at her sweet demand. Smiling, they all come closer for a family hug. Hugging each other tightly, they finally find their happiness.

Breaking the hug, Payal still being in Rajveer's arms, looks towards Naina and then Rajveer.

"Mama hum papa ke sath rahege na ab?", questions Payal

Smiling, Naina nods her head in a yes, but then a thought crosses her mind and she gives a naughty smile to Rajveer. Rajveer understands what exactly is going in Naina's mind and he smirks.

"Yes my princess ab hum sab sath rahege", replies Rajveer

"Yayyy!!", Payal yells in excitement as she claps her hands together.

"Itni jaldi nahi beta. Aap ke papa ko thora intzaar karna padega. Hum aaj shaam 8 bjy ke baad jaiyege aapke papa ke pass", says Naina smirking as she remembers the bet.

"Bilkul nahi meri Payal aaj 8 bjy se pehle apne papa ke paas hogi", says Rajveer with a smirk

Payal looks confused at what exactly is going on.

"Aisa kyun?", questions Payal

"Kyunke beta aapke papa or mere beech ek shart lagi hai. Unh ka kehna hai ke hum inh ke pass 8 bjy se pehle jaiyege lekin aapki mama ka kehna hai ke hum 8 bjy ke baad jaiyge", replies Naina smiling

Payal smiles at this and kisses Rajveer on his forehead.

"Jo bhi ho shart toh papa hi jeetege", says Payal

"That's like my princess", says Rajveer happily and kisses Payal back, hugging her even tighter.

Naina crosses her arms over her chest and glares at Payal and Rajveer, pretending to be angry. Payal and Rajveer give each other a high five.

"Lo mil gayye baap beti meri band bajane", says Naina pretending to be angry.

The next thing that happens is they all burst out into fits of laughter. All this time, Rajveer does not let go off Payal even for a second.

Giving Payal a hug and a kiss, Rajveer gives her to Naina. Before leaving, he winks at Naina which clearly states "I'll win wifey". With that, he goes out of the house smiling at his next plan which will make Naina lose.

Chapter 39 - Last

It has been 4pm and Naina has started packing her's and Payal's stuff to go to Rajveer's house after 8pm. Naina has called Naveen and Shalini and told them everything and they seemed to be happy and accepted her decision. Suddenly, her mind goes back to the bet and she smirks knowing that she'll win, but Captain Naina Singh Shekhawat, you are forgetting that he is your husband and most importantly, he is your mentor.

Suddenly, a thought crosses her mind and she feels the rush to talk to Rajveer over the phone. Picking up her phone, she dials his number and moves the phone closer to her ear. It has been couple of minutes but no one seems to answer on the other side of the phone. She thinks maybe he is busy, so she decides to call him later.

Around 5pm, Naina dails his number again, but he does not pick up again. She again thinks he is busy so, she hangs up. Somewhere deep down, she gets scared. He never ignores her calls, even when they have fights, he never does. Is he in danger? Her body shivers at this thought and her eyes starts brimming with tears.

Then, she thinks maybe she is over thinking about the whole situation. She calms down a little and continues packing. Now, it has been 6pm and Naina is worried to the core. Her husband did not call her back. She dials his number again, but again, no answer. At this point, she is extremely scared

Just then, Naina hears Payal's scream from the living room. Leaving everything, Naina rushes towards her daughter and gets shocked to see Payal crying. She rushes towards Payal and immediately pulls her up in her arms.

"what's wrong baby? Payal ro kyun rahi hai?", questions Naina, worriedly.

Payal suddenly stops crying and looks up at Naina and throws herself in her mother's arms.

"Mamma!! wo papa!!", says Payal between her sobs.

And that was it for Naina. Without listening to Payal further, Naina immediately picks Payal up in her arms again and without thinking about anything, Naina rushes out of the house and heads towards Rajveer's house, worriedly. Naina does not give a single look towards Payal, who is smirking a little, god knows why.

After few minutes, Naina and Payal reach outside of Rajveer's house. Without knocking, Naina pushes the door open and barges inside the house and what she finds in front of her, it shocks her. There he stands, Major Rajveer Singh Shekhawat, crossing his arms over his chest while a smile plays on his lips.

Without thinking about anything, Naina drags Payal inside. Leading her towards the couch, she makes Payal sit there. Now looking back towards Rajveer, Naina immediately runs towards him and throws herself in Rajveer's arms while her eyes fills with tears.

"Kahan thay aap? Pata hai mein kab se aapko phone kar rahi thi. Aap mera phone kyun nahi utha rahe thay? Aap aisa kyun kar rahay thay?", asks Naina without taking a breath.

Rajveer smiles at this and does not utter a word. Looking towards Payal, he gives Payal a thumbs up while she returns the gesture. Naina does not move and she hugs him even tighter.

"Mein theek hoon Naina", this is the only thing Rajveer says.

With that, he breaks the hug and gets her to look at him. His heart sinks as he finds tears in her eyes. He feels guilty for playing this trick on her; yes this was his plan in order to win the bet.

But before Rajveer could say sorry, Naina realises what actually is going on. Her eyes starts blazing with anger. She points her index finger towards him in irritation.

"Ye...ye sab..sab aapne bet jeetne ke liye kia?", asks Naina out of surprise.

Now, His Naina is back, the angry Naina. Tears doesn't suit her. A smile starts to play on his lips as he nods his head positively.

This reaches Naina's anger. Suddenly, her gaze falls towards Payal and she finds Payal smirking at them. Just then, Payal's "drama" comes to her mind. This is when Naina understands that this father-daughter were both involved in this. She gives an unbelievable expression.. with her mouth half open, she first looks towards Payal and then she looks towards Rajveer.

"Aap dono ne milkar mujhe bewakoof banaya?" Asks Naina in disbelief.

Payal comes running up to Rajveer. She gives him a hug along with a high-five and they both share a good fit of laughter. Naina's heart melts at this. A smile creeps on her lips seeing the duo happy and her heart fills with love, but she pretends to keep being angry.

With both of her hands on her waist, she clears her throat which grabs the attention of the father and daughter.

"Aap dono milkar mujhe ek din pagal kar doge!! Mein ja rahi hoon uppar kamre mein", says Naina, pretending to be angry.

This vanishes the smile on Payal and Rajveer's face. Stomping her feet, Naina makes her way towards the room upstairs, but before she could leave, Rajveer grabs her wrist and pulls her to him.

Looking towards Payal, he smiles. Payal is old enough to understand, so she runs from there giggling and goes upstairs.

Rajveer strangles Naina in his arms while she constantly tries to get out of his hold, but fails miserably. Naina does not give up and keeps struggling.

"Stop trying Mrs. Shekhawat kyun ke aaj ke baad mein tumhe apne aap se kabhi door nahi jaane doonga", he whispers huskily!!

Naina is not angry but of course, she had to pretend. She gives Rajveer a fake death glare.

"So wifey, I won!", he says proudly, smirking!

"Aapne cheating ki hai", replies Naina

This succeeds in making Rajveer's smile bigger.

"Pyaar or jung mein sab jayaz hai sweetheart!", smirks Rajveer.

Naina is unable to hold her smile back anymore. She smiles with her full heart and pulls him closer into her embrace. Smiling, Rajveer hugs her back even tighter.

They stay like this for couple of minutes when a thought crosses Rajveer's mind. He moves his lips towards Naina's ear.

"So wifey ab tumhe wo hi karna padega jo mein kahoonga", he whispers huskily.

His warm breath on Naina's skin sends shivers in her entire body. Shyly, she looks into his eyes and understands his intensions very well. But she is also Naina, she will play hard to get.

"Ye bet kab hui? Mujhe kuch yaad nahi aa raha", she smirks

She surprises Rajveer and he immediately leaves her. and stands there with his mouth half open. This is exactly what Naina wanted. Taking the opportunity, she takes two steps back.

"Now catch me hubby!", she smiles and within seconds she starts running from there.

A naughty smile creeps on Rajveer's face as he registers what happened.

"Uh uh darling! Now watch", he smirks.

With that, he starts running behind her. Within few minutes, he finally catches her wrist and pins her to the wall.

"Ab kahan jaogi tum?", he says huskily

This sends shivers in Naina's body. Her heartbeat picks up pace. He starts leaning in closer to her.

"Pa...payal..dekh legi", she stammers as her cheeks burns hot red in shyness.

"Shhh Payal yahan nahi hai", whispers Rajveer huskily.

And before she could say anything further, he seals her lips with a passionate and a heated kiss. First, the kiss is smooth but after seconds, it becomes a demanding one. Once they break apart, they take some time to catch their breath.

Rajveer immediately pulls Naina in his embrace while she puts her arms around his neck.

"Naina mujhse ek promise karogi?", questions Rajveer lovingly.

Naina hugs him tightly and smiles.

"Aapke liye kuch bhi Raj!", she replies.

This swells Rajveer's heart with so much love for his Naina ah Singh! Breaking the hug, he holds her by the shoulders and looks intensely in her eyes.

"Naina ye deewangi itni hai ke kabhi khatam na hogi! Promise karo ke tum hamesha yoon hi mere kareeb raho gi!", pleads Rajveer

Naina's eyes fills up with tears. Still maintaining the eye contact, she holds Rajveer's hand in hers.

"Rajveer, mein aapse promise karti hoon ke mein kabhi bhi aapse door nahi jaongi! Hanesha aapke paas rahoongi! Aaj mein aapse sirf is janam ka nahi bhalke har janam mein sath nibhane ka wada karti hoon", replies Naina

Tears rolls down in Rajveer's eyes. Without waiting any longer, he pulls her into his embrace.

"I love you Naina!", says Rajveer

"I love you too Rajveer!", replies Naina

"And I love both of you"

They hear Payal's voice. Smiling they break the hug. Running towards them, Payal jumps onto them and they immediately pull her up and they all share a family hug.

"We love you too my princess!", says Rajveer and Naina, together


This Deewangi will stay until this world exits and no one can come between these two souls that became one, forever!

Epilogue

Deewangi depicts the life of two people, Rajveer and Naina. No one thought that one day they will come together but, they did. Their love got a second chance when Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat came back to KMA along with Captain Naveen Singh Ahluwalia. Naina Singh Ahluwalia found out the truth behind her brother's death, that he was never actually dead. As the academy finds out how Rajveer saved Naveen and that he was innocent, Brigadier Chandook promotes Rajveer and Naveen to being Majors! After all these years that Naina spent without Rajveer, she became a successful solider and was promoted to being the Captain in the army.

Rajveer finally thought he got his Naina back, his Naina ah Singh back until he realised that she got engaged to Huda, who was her batch mate in the academy days. His heart broke into million pieces. No, he cannot let this happen. He once made a mistake of not telling her about his love, but not anymore.

Not willing to give up on his love, he fights for Naina. It turns out that Naina was engaged to Huda for Rajveer, in order to save his dadaji! Finally, all the misunderstandings gets cleared and they finally decide to get married.

Their marriage date wasn't fixed yet when Nandini came to KMA. At first, Rajveer doubts on her, but eventually, he realises that she is his true friend.

Days passes by and everything seems to be perfect. Rajveer suddenly asks Naina to get married to him in two days, which Naina agrees on. On their wedding day, Rajveer leaves Naina on the mandap, devastated, for some revenge. He tells Naina that he never loved her and he was doing all this drama to take revenge from her. Naina's heart breaks into million pieces. Their fights started and Naina gave him good comebacks.

Came the entry of Major Gunraj Singh Randhawa who seemed extremely close to Naina. This was not appreciated by Rajveer. One day, in Jealousy, Rajveer took Naina somewhere forcefully when she went for a dinner with Gunraj(Gunny). Naina had enough. She wanted answers. Rajveer finally told her about the reason why he took revenge from her. It turns out that Rajveer believed that Naina was the one who kidnapped Rajveer's dadaji for money. Naina was shattered after knowing this. How could he not have trusted her?

Days passes by and their fights and Rajveer's jealousy increases. One day, the truth of Rajveer and Naina's marriage comes out. Yes, they got married and they were doing all this drama to bring the truth out of Nandini and Abhimanyu. Days passed by! Rajveer and Naina were happy together, but they showed the world that they hated each other.

This story takes a three year leap. It turns out that Naina and Rajveer have been separated and divorced due to some misunderstanding. Naina has moved to Canada along with Shalini and Naveen while Rajveer is still in India. Naina has a daughter, Payal, which Rajveer does not know about.

It was finally Naina's time to move back to India and start her duty on a special mission. She took Payal with her and it turns out that Naina is working under her ex-husband. Rajveer decides to make her life hell .

One morning, Naina goes to Pooja's house along with Payal. On her way, she finds Payal missing and that is when Rajveer finds out the truth about Payal being his daughter.

It was finally time for them to clear their misunderstandings. The truth came out when Rajveer took Naina to meet Nandini and Abhimanyu in jail who were arrested in dadaji's murder. It is revealed that Naina demanded for a divorce because she thought Rajveer and Nandini got physical. Nandini reveals the truth that she and Abhimanyu planted fake proofs to create a distance between Rajveer and Naina. Rajveer reveals that he never filed the divorce papers in the court and he ripped them off, so basically, they were still married.

Naina apologized to Rajveer and he forgave her as he loves her beyond limits. Rajveer and Naina revealed the truth to Payal about Rajveer being her father! Finally, everything was perfect for them! They promised to love each other until their last breath.

Hey everyone!

Here I am with an author's note for this story. Wow! I have so many things to say and what I am feeling, that cannot be expressed in words.

Deewangi is my first fan-fiction that I started on Rajveer-Naina. I started this story on India Forums on March 17. 2017 and finished this story on September 23rd, 2017; it took me exactly six months and six days to complete this story. Frankly speaking, when I started this story, I never thought it would even last up to five chapters. There were times when I gave up, but it was YOU guys who encouraged and motivated me throughout this beautiful journey of Deewangi.

As much as you guys enjoyed reading this story, I enjoyed writing it more! I saw myself grow as a writer throughout this story and I have noticed how much I have actually improved! When I go back to the first few chapters of this story, the first thing that comes out of my mouth is "wow! Did I really write that bad?". It is true that I see lots of flaws in my story and this story surely needs editing, which I will do later at some point!

This story means a lot to me as it is my very first story on Rajveer-Naina and also as a writer. This journey for me was extremely beautiful and your guys' comments and suggestions meant a lot to me and it helped me tons. If it wasn't for you guys, I am sure I wouldn't be able to come this far with this story.

So, I would like to thank each one of you personally for making this journey so beautiful. I know lots of you are feeling extremely sad after the completion of this story. Trust me, even I am feeling extremely sad, but all things has to come to an end someday. And I feel elated each time when you guys mention that how much you liked this story. Trust me, it swells my heart and fills it up with so much love.

Right now, I am crying while writing this note as this story means a lot to me. I have written many short stories, OSs, two shots and even three shots on Rajveer-Naina, but this story holds a special place in my heart.

I will be continuing my other stories on Rajveer-Naina very soon! First, I would like to finish the short story "RN - His Ignorance is Her Punishment". Afterwards, I would like to focus on "LRL - Beginning of Love" and "RN - The Sudden Moment of Confession". After that, I'll continue my other stories! Uff I have so many pending stories

Last, but not the least, I would like to say thank you again for all the love you guys have given me. I love you all from the bottom of my heart! !

I was thinking about starting "Deewangi 2" - a continuation of this story with new twist and turns, but I won't be doing that now. First I would like to focus on my current pending stories and maybe some day in future, I will start "Deewangi 2"
