Manage the train...
It didnt take R&B more than an hour to get from MM to Rohini
He brought the twins with him, Sam dropped Sid off after 4 hours, the twins were not easy to manage, singular or plural they were a terror
He returned with his face painted and dragging a SODA CAN TRAIN Nandy had built for him
There was a GIANT meltdown at home after Sam left abrupty, since the twins were born and started to walk she rarely came in
It was nothing short of danergous
The boys looked to go SOME WHERE

"Thai thai... " they would scream wrapping themselves around her legs
Begging to be rescued from MM
"I am going to ask him to make u one" R&B argued with Ved
"My TWANE MY TWANE MY TWANE" Ved screamed as Sid clattered the 20 something carriage expensive work of art through the house
Nivi appearaed from hibernation hearing the din
"Tch... Tchhh Dadeee they are shouting" she shut her ears
"I can hear that love, Ved wants a train"
She rolled her eyes walke dup to him
"U have SO many Thomas trains" she explained
He flung himself on the ground floor lounge and stwisted like a drunk starfish
Kicking her and crying out loud
Thats when the phone rang, it was Amma
"Hi! Mrs Iyer" he greeted a lil impatiently
Nivi ran with the train the boys chased after her creaming and howling
The guards let themselves in to watch the lovely spectacle
Mavvy was watering the tall Ashok trees by the compound wall he grinned
As Nivi ran by him
He begged her "Hamye nahi dikhayega?" he asked
She handed it to him and ran
The boys didnt realize the train with Mavvy
They chased her flinging whatever toys they could find
"Can u come over?" Amma asked
""Oh why?" he said startled
"Umm.. Ishita is a lil sick" Amma said nervously
"What happened?" he paused
The boys had shoved Nivi down and were climbing on her
He sprinted after them.. to pull the boys away
Peeling them off her
As she began to cry
Mavvy left the hose unattended and came to check, "I am so sorry" he cooed to Nivi
"I am going up... I hate them" she shouted going up
"Umm.. the doctor was just here" Amma dragged
"AND?" he asked eagerly
"Umm... there is good news" Amma said
He hadnt quite understood the "Iyer Good news definition"
"Oh really? How so?" he asked
"Looks like the twins will no longer be the youngest" Amma laughed happily
"OH WOW" "OH WOW" repeated R&B stunned
The boys were yelling, until one found the abandoned soda can train
There was peace for a second
"Can I talk to her please?"
"She is dozing now" Amma said
"I am on my way" he said quickly
The boys wrestled with the train, knotting themselves up in the cord...
"MY TWANE... MY TWANE" they yelled
He pulled them apart again
"Lets go see Amma" he cooed
"I MANT my twane" Sid screamed
"Aap andar se scissors laayenge?" he begged mavvy
He ran inside
When it was all said and done
He had split it 12 for one and 13 for the other...
They knew how to count, so BOTh wanted the one with greater number of cans
Being II's husband lying came easily to him
When he counted he counted BOTH boys' cans as 23!!!!
They got to Rohini as they dragged the train across the elevator, and rang the door bell 15 times
Appa opened it
And was frightened to see the two vaanar
"Umm... WHERE IS NIVI?" he demanded
The boys dragged the cans in noisily off to show paatti
Mrs Iyer was overjoyed
"Idu enna pannindey?" (what is it?" she hugged Sid and cooed looking at his face
It was all yellow and black and whiskers
"I am a "DWEEE AAF" he said for giraffe
"Nandu na panni vittana?" she asked
HE nodded thrilled
Ved had another meltdown
"I MANT MY ATTTOOO I MANT MY ATTTOOO" he screamed
"U shud have brought Nivi I say" Appa said looking at the boys fearfully
One reached for TV remote the other for Appa's glasses
"Ada kudu da, badava" Appa grumbled
"Where is II?" he asked
"These boys are so naughty. How will she manage another one?" Appa asked R&B hotly
"Avan first okkarattum" (let him SIT) Amma scolded
"It never happens... but just today there is no sweet" Amma was ashamed
She offered him a bowl of sugar with a spoon
He hesitantly accepted a half spoon smiling
"Thanks" he whispered
Sid managed to tip the spoon sending the bowl crashing
"KEEZHELLAM ERUMBU VARUM DA" (There will be ants) Appa shook his head
Ved picked up fistfuls and started eating
II walked out
"Nee enna panrey?" she asked confused
"Hey" he smiled greeting her
"Amma I MANT TATTOOO" Ved shouted
Sid walked over the sugar with foot prints all over dragging his train
"Ondeee ma" (what happened) II cooed kneeling slowly
"How will she manage I say?" Appa questioned
"We'll figure it out Mr Iyer" R&B said politely
Amma was making coffee...
