"Shefu for how much more time I have to sit like this?" she asked but only to be shushed by her dear friend...

"Don't speak. U have to sit for few minutes, the paste hasn't dried fully yet"

Arohi sighed and then she felt someone holding her hands..."now what else are u doing to me?"

Shefali chuckled "they are doing ur manicure and they will do ur pedicure...after that waxing"

"Shefu...there is no need of so much"

"how can u say that...it's ur engagement...u have to look best today" "now sit straight and relax ur body...no more complaints..."

Arohi humphed "why can't u all stop making such a big deal out of this day!!" she mumbled...

"omg Aru...u look gorgeous" Shefali and Prachi together exclaimed.

Arohi smiled staring at herself...for a moment she couldn't recognize herself. She was wearing a baby pink lehanga chose by his mother along with a heavy choker and dangling earrings her hair were left open but unlike her naturally straight hair they were softly curled at ends

"I look so different and..."

"beautiful" Shefali whispered completing her sentence..."I am sure Jija ji is going to have hard time controlling himself.."

The mention of him was enough to spoil her mood...her smile slipped from her face..

Engagement was a very private and small affair so it was taking place in Ahluwalia house only. Once the wedding date will be decided, Singhania's were planning to throw a party to officially introduce her to world as Arjun Singhania's fiance..She felt so sick thinking about that. After how their last meeting went and all the insulting words he hurled at her she didn't even want to see his face let alone this engagement but no she herself has jumped into well and no one...absolutely NO ONE can save her from drowning. She closed her eyes heaving a sigh and waited for someone to come from downstairs and take her to her barabadi! The only good thing about today was she was looking beautiful as she hardly ever apply makeup or put some effort in dressing up so this all new up-do was making her look different. No one would have ever decked up so much for their barbadi..she chuckled at her own joke. Thank god there was no one to witness otherwise they would have declared her psycho for laughing alone.

The door of her room opened, Shefali and Prachi with dreamy smile on their faces..so the monster is here she thought looking at their faces...

"omg Aru, he is looking so handsome! U r so lucky" Prachi chided..only if she could tell her what hides behind that handsome face of his

Shefali sighed dramatically "U are stealing our dream boy from us...Girls are going to hate u so much"

She rolled her eyes at her two best friends..."I can happily step down for any of u after all sisters before misters..." she winked earning a laughter from both of them...

"I have sent u both to bring Arohi down and here u are chatting with her" Arohi's bua came mockingly scolding them..."come on bring her fast...everyone is waiting for her"

They both helped Arohi to standup and held her from either side..."u know I can walk on my own"

"it's tradition" Bua chided and walked ahead of them..

Everyone was in her awe as she entered hall...everyone's eyes were fixed on her and she felt little uncomfortable on getting so much attention...her dad came in front of her and kissed her forehead..."u are looking beautiful beta"

In return she smiled at him...the happy look on his face was worth everything she was staking at for this marriage...as her dad held her hand and made a move towards stage, she felt that his gaze was also fixated at her which for some unknown reason made her feel shy and difficult to raise her head to look at him. She feared she would see something which she is not ready to see just yet so she kept her gaze down and let her father lead her...When they reached closer to him, her father stepped away making her finally look above. Her black orbs clashed with his honey brown one's. And she had to agree with Shefali and Prachi, he indeed was looking handsome in khakhi jodhpuri suit. He was looking like some prince charming, though she hates herself for saying but that's truth. She stared at his face and she knew that it was only part of her illusion when she thought he was looking at her. He was as usual giving her a stern look. She was sure he was dying to spit venomous words at her but couldn't do for the sake of his I am a good guy' image.

She stood in front of him with a decent gap between them. His mother came and handed him the ring they selected that day at mall. She looked at him questioningly when he extended his hand but then she realized, she was there for engagement and she needs to give him her hand. Quite hesitantly she kept her soft hand in his rough one. His hold was very tight. He like some creep caressed her hand with his thumb and there was this evil smirk on his face. She looked away disgustingly, she so wished she could scream or just slap him...After what felt like an eternity he finally slipped ring in her finger but wait! The ring was smaller than her size...He was literally forcing the ring in her finger and it was hurting her. The ring was roughly scratching her finger. Her eyes started to tear due to the pain. She tried pulling her hand but he only held it tighter. She looked at him and he was clearly enjoying all this. He finally pushed the ring with one harsh force. And involuntary she yelped "ah"

Her finger had turn into shade of fierce red and little blood was also oozing out. Holding her finger she looked at him shooting daggers. This man was hitting a new low on their every meet.

Her father gave her a simple gold band. Without even glancing at him she quickly slipped ring in his finger. Everyone burst into clap congratulating them.

Now that it's over! Can she go to closed premises of her room and cry over her ruined life? She thought frustrated.

She was a fool if she thought torture was over because this is just new level of torture. Right now the photographer was busy in clicking some oh so romantic pictures of them. Like seriously!!

"Sir, keep ur hand on mam's waist from behind" Arohi looked at photographer with complete shock written on her face. Hand holding and flashing fake smiles was okay but letting this creep hold her waist from behind a total no-no!

"I guess we are done. This much photographs are enough let's keep some pose for wedding also!" she said fake laughing a little.

"I have managed to get only 3-4 good photos...we need some more pics. Mr. Singhania has clearly instructed me to click numerous pics of u two as these photos will be going for press release"

Arohi was about to open her mouth when she heard his voice near her ear "stop this drama! Let's get done with this asap..." he moved behind her and her breath hitched as his hand came rounding her from waist..."God! Kamar h ya Kamra" he said chuckling behind her.."u r seriously a baby elephant"

Enough was enough...now she can't control herself. Raising her six inch long pencil heel covered foot, she smashed it on his right foot making him yell in pain. "oh-I am so sorry" she quickly feigned innocent face as everyone looked over at him concernedly.

"u did it intentionally" he said rubbing his feet with a painful look on his face. For a moment she felt bad for him but then remembered her bruised finger...scrunching her nose she answered back "u deserved it"

His eyes burned with his infamous anger, the thing for which he was known on field and she was going to witness it now, off-field. But god sent her bua as her savior. "Arjun-Arohi, come it's time for dinner" She thanked her stars for sending her bua at right time. She looked at Arjun from corner of her eyes and he was burning with anger. He glared at her as he walked a little uncomfortably to table.

They were made to sit together and worse...they were also given single plate to eat from. She didn't want to eat in the same plate as his. God! Who made these silly rituals! She looked at plate filled with all her favorite food. She couldn't wait to dig but the monster was eating like a horse not allowing her to grab a bite. He had cover the whole plate as if it was his territory...if she was not this hungry she would have let the matter go but here she was starving so she pulled the plate to her side making him glare at her which she returned with equal fierceness...if he thought he can scare her by his looks then he is like 70% right but she is never gonna let him have pleasure of knowing it! Huh! She thought.

Continuing their glaring match they ate their food.

On her Bua's insistence Arohi walked Arjun to washroom so that he could wash his hands. She handed him towel as soon as he came out and tried to go away in order to avoid any confrontation with him but he held her hand and pulled towards himself.

"If u think I have forgotten earlier then u r wrong" he told her gritting his teeth.

She tried to free her hand from his grip "u provoked me" she flared her nose.

"u need to keep ur tone in check while talking to me" he spoke roughly.

"I won't need to keep my tone in check if u would just behave" she doesn't know from where she was getting her boldness but she was thankful for it, at least she was not bowing down in front of him.

Arjun jerked her away and gave a dry laugh..."don't u talk about behavior and all...a desperate woman marrying me for money doesn't look good talking about all this stuff"

"Shut up!" she yelled "u can keep ur all money to urself...I don't want a single penny from u. I don't want to marry u either. I am just honoring my father's wish. I can do anything for his happiness even if it means marrying a monster like u"

In next moment she was pushed against a wall.." And I am supposed to believe all this daddy's girl talk..? u can trap my father but u can't trap me with all this bulshit!"

"Think whatever ur pea sized brain allow" she said struggling under his grip.

He pressed her hand more forcefully making her look at him "U think I am monster. Get ready to face worse than this."
