Well said Janu 👏👏
It is said that to attain God, you must truly want it, you must be ready to sacrifice everything for Him. The second Vibhishan and Dharmaraj sacrificed Ravana and Dhritarashtra completely, their progress was quick.

Janu- here I quote, kind of, the Gita, where He says: let go of attachments, replace any attachment with love.
Yudhishtira did that. He broke away moh instead giving way to prem and this ultimately, brought Him closer to God. He was able and willing to sacrifice worldly attachments and bring in love instead.

I so want to tell Yudhi-haters that: instead of highlighting his mistakes highlight the way he had purified himself, then only you will be able to learn something from him.

But the question here Sema, is whether people want to learn something from him or not.

I think Yudhisthira always respected Dhritarastra because of the lack of a father in his life, and in the absence of Pandu, Dhritarastra was his father, and thus Yudhisthira considered all his orders as one would the orders of a father. Sadly, Dhritarastra never considered him a true son.

The moment Yudhisthira sacrificed Dhritarastra, he was one with Krishna.

I think to learn from one, they need to understand them. When people understand Dharmaraj, they will find a lot to learn from him. For this they need to understand Dharma. And therefore, understand God.

Janu, I also think one reason he didn't leave the Dyut was that he was waiting for a command from his 'father' Dhritarashtra. A command that never came.

And before the dice game Yudhi never understood the real face of Dhritarashtra. I can imagine how shocked and pained he was to see his 'father figure's reaction on his harm. I can't forgive Dhritarashtra for using Yudhi's respect to fulfill his swartha. Even when he sent Sanjay to make peace with Pandavas, he expected Yudhi would again melt with his soft words. But that time we can see a different Yudhi who, even with full respect to his uncle, is saying, "Krishna is present here. Let Him speak. I promise you, Sanjay, whatever Krishna will decide will be obeyed by me."

This one line by him summarises the fact that he had, indeed surrendered to Him. He sent Him as the shanti doot, for he had placed faith in Him.
Yudhishtira let go of attachment to Dhritarashtra and gave his love to Krishna.

I second your view. That is his problem you know, despite of being the Emperor of Aaryavarta he placed himself at lower position in Hastinapur's sabha and gave King Dhritarashtra the highest position. If he could use his power of Emperor who could harm him? But after so many years of separation from elders of Kuru family he was missing their affectionate presence and that's why he ran to HP immediately. People mistook his hurry as his weakness for gambling but his actual weakness was Dharma and that craving for affection.
