That is correct.
People malign his character without understanding the truth behind the dice game.

Srutha and Sema, you are both absolutely correct. Sema, he was not a practised gambler. Panchali, as her boon, requests the release of her husbands, referring to the whole Dyut Sabha as an Adharm Sabha. She knew, as did the other Pandavas, that Yudhishtir didn't know about the wagers.
Srutha, yes. They malign him without knowing anything of his character, based on the Dyut. The Samrat's virtues far overtook his vices.

They also blame him for the shared marriage of Panchali, though in the original Sanskrit text, it was described as love at first sight not just for the Pandavas, but for Panchali as well. With all five of them. BRC showed this very well.

The shared marriage of Panchali was not his fault. The backstory is a good point to discuss here! 😳

I can't understand why his haters don't believe in the previous birth story.
There is Mudgalya-Nalayani story which will clear all doubt.
Also, it was not he who 'lusted' Panchali and shouted 'See Maa what we have brought', it was Bheem-Arjun who said it. Poor Yudhi had to face a Dharma sankat there too. One side Mother's words, another side Draupadi's future, and last but not least other brothers' reactions!
True, only he can handle such a situation and give a decision which is best for all.

His virtues are always lesser known facts, still I choose Nahusha Samvada first which is least known I guess. What say?

Sema- yes, he didn't 'lust' after her, as it was truly love at first sight for all six of them. Can we discuss the Nahusha Samvaad, it is a topic not spoken about and yet, it is the defining topic for his virtues.

I'm all ready! I so love Nahusha samvada, which is never shown by any serial or written by any novel. People except who have read the original MB do not know about this incident.
I'm going to post, wait a little.
