Many people hate Dharmaraj, and thus they do not want to see his positives.

And yet they rant and rave about the so-called positives of characters like Duryodhan and Karna.

That's exactly my point. Modernity lies in seeing things differently. Now kaliyugis have learned how to sympathize with the villains. They can discover their positive sides, they can cry in their pain. I have heard people saying that Karna should be forgiven for his single sin, even Ashwatthama should be forgiven for his single sin. But when it comes to Yudhishthir they can never forgive him for his single sin, though it is given that he repented for it. The others did not.

I like Karna, and he does have much better character than Dury does. People are intimidated by Dharam Bhaiya, that's all🤢

Okay, about the others I can safely say they don't, because, in the end, they didn't even realise what they had done wrong. With Karna, there are some similarities between him and Yudhishtir. They both were strong in their dharma. However, at some point, Yudhishtir was able to put Jagat Kalyan above personal Dharma and that is where the difference is. Karna did only at the fag end and that is why he gave up his life. In all honesty, he was a great warrior and could have stood his ground had he decided to.
The difference lies in the fact that Dharmaraj was able to give up what was his personal Dharma in favour of the Lord.

The others, like Duryodhan and Ashwatthama, I can never justify for they weren't justifiable.

I like Karna until the vastra haran, but after that his character just started doing more and more sins.

He called Draupadi a veshya and ordered Dushashan to strip her down. For that, I can never like him.

Yeah, he surrendered to Krishna in the end, and thus he is superior to Duryodhan, but when I look at his whole life, all I see is someone who is dissatisfied with what God gave him and let his ambitions cloud his judgment. He did not make just one sin. He made many.

He repented in the end, but the woman in me still revolts at his treatment of Draupadi. 🤔

Yesterday I was watching the rerun of Mahabharat, and I was loving the spear fight between Dharmaraj and Bhishma. 👏 I don't know if they ever did fight with spears, but the way they showed it onscreen was awesome. Both actors did amazing, but Rohit in particular was excellent. We don't often get to see Dharmaraj fighting. It is usually reserved for Arjuna and Bhima, but yesterday were saw the warrior in Dharmaraj and he was awesome!

As far as I know, there were smaller battles in which Dharmaraj was involved, since his area of expertise was the spear, and Bhishma was trained in most weapons. Mahabharat showed that sequence well, because, like you said, they generally focus on Bhima and Arjuna. Yudhishtira, as far as my knowledge goes was an expert at the spear, though he didn't actually use it much, because of his love for Ahimsa.
