As far as I know, there were smaller battles in which Dharmaraj was involved, since his area of expertise was the spear, and Bhishma was trained in most weapons. Mahabharat showed that sequence well, because, like you said, they generally focus on Bhima and Arjuna. Yudhishtira, as far as my knowledge goes was an expert at the spear, though he didn't actually use it much, because of his love for Ahimsa.

I actually loved seeing Yudhisthir fight, because like you said he generally doesn't like ahimsa and thus doesn't engage in many battles, but by the time of Kurukshetra, he totally embraced Krishna's teachings and knew the war was necessary, so he put his heart and soul into it.

If Rohit did a good job, I am actually think of Dharmaraj fighting in the war
Yeah, RB did that scene well, and one of my favourite pictures of him as Yudi was the first promo picture, with him holding the spear and with a moustache. That look would have fitted better, since I think that they all except Krishna had moustaches according to what I have read.

Even Krishna might have had a mustache, though people don't like to picture Gods with them. 😆

I love that pic too Shreya. Yudhisthir looks like such a strong and valiant King along with being Dharmaraj.

But usually Krishna is depicted without one, but Parthsarathy is depicted with a moustache. In pictures and statues, Parthasarathy always has a mush.

I know, right? He looks absolutely like I would imagine. Well, I have a different image for his face as such, but, in general

If you have seen the MB part of Ramananda Sagar's Shri Krishna serial, for me their Yudhishthir was perfect in look. I loved RB's everything including look but only problem is, he is a bit short but MB describes Dharmaraj as tall and fair. And yes, all Pandavas except Bheem had moustache. That's why Bheem was called 'Tubarak'.
As for his warrior side, I love to read that place where he fought with Jayadrath's army and even killed more than 100 to rescue Draupadi (Van Parva). The way he controlled his anger after Draupadi was safe, shows us how he had conquered the ripu called krodha.
