Its an amazing thing to do. I never had to live too far away from family. I dont think I am cut out for it, even when I travel for work, I lay awake at night, hating the hotel room. A new place can be intimidating and scary. Atleast not as scary as it was 20 years ago with no cellphones, computers and internet. Those three things have caused distance to evaporate completely.

You can talk everyday, all day, virtually for free. You can see your home and parents too...

The SE Asian diaspora is spread far and wide across the UK, you will probably find no apartments where there arent Desis.

Many of my friends dont take any afternoon naps Jas, they feel too "homesick" they say when they wake up. I almost didnt believe it until recently. Now I do... you feel a strange disconnect with everything for an hour or two...

Manya brought Nivi up in the morning while II was still asleep
R&B and her had coffee in the terrace while Nivi sat in the middle of a dirt box trying to "plant"
She was hoping to taste some o that yummy clay-ey soil too

Manny smacked her bottom a couple times when she noticed her doing that

"You should go get married" R&B taped her head as she bend down trying to make a castle for Nivi

"You think that wud make Dad really happy?" she mocked

"You know nothing's gonna make him happy" he said coldly


"Did u talk to him?" Manny asked hesitantly

R&B didnt know if he shud say "Oh yes I did I told him about the shit he has put us all through" or just be quiet

"A lil" he said instead

"BATA" Manny ordered, as she made a dirt car with Nivi's plastic mold... Nivi smacked it the moment Manny attempted to put a flag on top

"I am going to make Manvi" Manny cooed

Nivi gave her a cute smile

Mahavir brought up breakfast and set it under the giant glass topped rattan coffee table under the umbrella

II came up as it was closer to 7:30 now

It's tough to imagine Ranjan Bhalla the Colossus turning overnight in to a sophisticated Goonda who can harm a fly let alone beat his daughter's boyfriend. Also tough to imagine Ranjan Bhalla turning in to a Disgruntled BIGOT who Imposes any kind of intolerance who has no gratitude for anything in life and who is never happy.It's actually TMD no not TMI. TMD for too much Dramatics from the brother sister duo

Savvy Bhalla , today you wouldn't be proud listening to hear your children playing with dirt and uchalofying kichad on their Dad sitting in the same terrace they spent their childhood in.

This is extremely disappointing from a man who is envious of every relationship his wife has with anyone target his father and instigate his sister to do what she pleases . We will wait to see if dude can extend the same generosity to Nivi by just asking her to elope and get married.

Manny overnight has transformed in to II probably because of the time she's spending with her to suddenly asking permission and approval from every family member to bring her BF home.

Why is it so difficult for Manny to go have a decent conversation with her father instead of accusing him if turning a villain instead of puckering her lips around wanting the dirt and dope on TMI , Astha and the likes.

Too good! With Nisha description of Ii''s aging body, I felt a sense of loss and a sense of sweet nostalgia. Like I have grown with them and am seeing themselves grow old. What a lovely update. And dude and his daughter, bsolutely brilliant. More of that nisha
