Hey guys!!! I'm back 😃 I wrote this OS a while ago but never really thought about uploading it, but today i just felt why the heck not! so here it is, its not very romantic or anything, just something realistic and kinda cute (I think so 😆)

-------------

Jeevika was more than eager to go home, even though she was slightly upset that she missed her baby's birth, the thought that she was finally a mother to a no doubt beautiful daughter, erased any sadness that she harboured. Manvi was a strong one, despite just giving birth she was as strong and energetic as ever, holding her baby in her arms completely unaware of the rest of the world. Virat was no better, even though he was driving, he would glance in the rear view mirror every minute or so to catch a glimpse of his wife and daughter. They drove home and Jeevika rushed out of the car saying a quick goodbye to the new parents as they drove off to the hospital, they had called ahead and managed to get an emergency appointment with the gynaecologist to get Manvi and the baby checked up to make sure they were both ok.

Jeevika ran inside the house and saw the place completely deserted, slowing down she saw all of the house staff walking out of her room looking delighted.

"Bhabi apki Beti bohot pyaari hai" sundar said as all the other staff nodded in agreement.

"Thank you sundar" Jeevika couldn't resist the smile on her face as she nodded a thanks to everyone else and rushed into her room. Upon entering she saw past the entire family gathered on and around her bed as her eyes immediately lay on her beautiful baby wrapped in a fluffy lilac baby blanket, laying securely in her father's arms. She slowly made her way to the bed, tears of joy filling her eyes. Shlok got up from where he was sitting next to Viren to give Jeevika some space, she sat down carefully next to Viren who could only smile at his wife, lost for words.

He carefully handed her the bundle of joy, wrapping an arm around his wife. Jeevika held her close to her heart as she lay eyes on her baby for the first time. Viren had asked her if she wanted to FaceTime earlier so that she could see her baby, but Jeevika wanted to see her baby for the first time in person, not on camera or in a picture, it wasn't the same. She gently ran her thumb over her daughters face as she slept peacefully, the sight made Viren's heart swell, he hadn't seen her this happy since they first found out she was pregnant all that time ago. Everything that ensued from then only caused them, mostly her pain and nothing else. But now as he looked at the pure unadulterated happiness on her face, he knew everything they had been through was worth it and that it didn't matter anymore.

She placed feather soft kisses all over her daughters face as she ran a hand over her soft pitch black hair that covered her head, amazed at how beautiful a being could be. Her tiny body, rosy full lips, big eyes that were shut in sleep and her perfectly straight nose which perfectly resembled her fathers. This thought snapped her out of her trance as she finally looked up and noticed everyone else in the room. The entire family were looking at her with happiness, after all they had all been newly promoted, but most of all they saw the most genuine smiles on both Viren and Jeevika's faces.

"Congratulations Jeevika beta" vanshika said as she loving touched her head in blessing

"Thank you Ma, Congratulations to you too, and to all of you" she said as she looked at everyone else. Her eyes finally lay on her husband who was just as happy as she was

"Congratulations Papa" she whispered to him

"Congratulations to you too Mama" he bumped her forehead with his lightly.

"By the way where are Virat and Manvi?" Swamini asked, not forgetting there were two new additions to the family.

"They're at the doctors to get checked up to make sure everything's ok, they should be home soon" Jeevika replied looking up at her. "Where's Vidhi?"

"She's sleeping beta, the birthing process tired her out, and before you ask she is absolutely fine and healthy, she's just tired that's all" Swamini replied fully knowing the Jeevika would be worried. Jeevika breathed out a sigh of relief knowing Vidhi was ok.

Feeling her baby stir in her arms, Jeevika instinctively rocked her gently. The baby slowly opened her eyes and lay eyes on her mother, Jeevika could not believe how gorgeous her eyes were. Viren was right, she did take after her, large winter grey eyes stared up at her in wonder. Jeevika placed a hand over her belly as her baby waved her arms around seeming excited.

"She's excited to meet her mother" Viren laughed from beside her. Catching a hand he kissed it before Jeevika did the same with her other hand. The baby grabbed onto Jeevika's pinky in a surprisingly strong grip but she didn't mind.

A whole hour passed and the family helped them out so much with setting up the crib with all the blankets needed and getting out diapers and onesies for both their baby and Manvi and Virat's baby. Viren and Jeevika had decided against letting Vidhi breastfeed early on, because it was known that babies develop an attachment through breastfeeding and they didn't want the baby thinking vidhi was the mother. So they found that through hormonal treatment, Jeevika could in fact lactate herself and breastfeed her baby.

Soon enough Virat and Manvi returned home hale and healthy heading straight to Viren and Jeevika's room considering they could hear quiet excited chatter from there. As soon as they entered all eyes were on them and the other doe eyed princess of their family. Everyone rushed up to them letting Manvi sit on the bed first carefully before taking the baby out of her arms to be passed around to everyone. Even Viren jumped up to get into the queue that had formed, giving his younger brother a hug, he was as excited for Virat's baby as he was for his own, it was his niece after all.

After a few hours every one retired to their respective rooms and for once the 4 new parents were exempt from the house's eating rules, dadaji understood being a father of 3 himself, how hard it was to take care of a child.

Viren finished eating dinner and feeding his wife who was busy feeding her baby. It was relatively late and they were all tired but chutki, as they temporarily decided to call their baby, was too busy crying. The naming ceremony wasn't until 3 months following an old Vadhera family tradition so that gave them time to think of the perfect name for their baby.

Viren came back after putting away the plates and glasses as Jeevika changed chutki's clothes and diaper and lay her down on the mini baby mattress on the middle of the bed. Viren returned to Jeevika softly patting an already asleep chutki. He settled himself on his side careful not to make too much movement in case the baby woke up.

"She's amazing isn't she?" He asked not taking his eyes off her, his hand joined hers in the patting.

"She's so prefect, I can't believe I'm finally a mother"

"And I'm a father, it still feels weird to think I've been promoted, I'm just so happy"

"Me too"

"Don't you agree that she looks just like you?"

"She got my eyes, but I'm so glad she got your nose and not my lumpy one"

"Hey I like you nose" he tweaked it making her laugh, "she has your beautiful full pink lips too" he said running a thumb over her lips making her blush.

"But she has your complexion and your forehead, she's going to be a heartbreaker" she lovingly kissed her forehead.

A sudden thought struck him "What shall we name her?"

"It has to be something meaningful and not too long"

"How about Rekha...or Diya?" Jeevika didn't seem impressed.

"Riya?" She gave him a stern expression. "Right Riya, I forgot" he quickly said sheepishly, forgetting all the trouble that name had caused him.

"When it's time the perfect name will just come to us. I know it" Jeevika said gazing down at the sleeping Angel.

Viren caught her hand in his and intertwined his fingers with hers "you know now that the baby's here, last night will probably be the last night for quite a long time" he sighed dramatically as she pulled her hand out of his blushing.

"Virenji"

"But even then I don't have much of a problem with that, I might not even have time for you anymore anyway" he winked as he teased her.

"See chutki, how naughty your father is, this is what mama has to go through every day, I hope you didn't inherit this mischievous nature" she said complaining to the baby. However secretly she wished her daughter took after her husband in every possible way, he was the perfect man after all. Viren just laughed at her and proceeded to tell her the full birthing story, and how much of a fright the little one gave them.

They talked for another hour or so before Viren lay chutki down in her crib, although they would've loved for their baby to sleep in between them, they had read about the dangers of doing so, such as accidentally suffocating your baby. So they decided to compromise their wishes for their baby's safety.

2 hours passed and a sharp wail pierced across the room. Jeevika was immediately on her feet and up by her baby's side cradling her in her arms. She checked and saw that her diaper needed changing and by the time she could go and grab a new one, Viren was already prepared and handed her one.

"Virenji, go to sleep, you must be exhausted"

"So are you, and anyway I can't sleep if my baby is crying like this and without you next to me"

They changed her diaper and the crying still continued, Jeevika checked her stomach and found it empty and immediately sat on the bed and began breastfeeding her. After a while chutki fell asleep quickly and Jeevika returned to being cuddled in Viren's arms. The warmth of which could erase any tiredness she felt.

A mere half an hour later another cry erupted in the silent room and this time Viren got up first taking his baby close to him. He checked her diaper and her belly but found nothing. Jeevika was up by now and checked her temperature to see if she was too hot or cold. Nothing. They spent 10 minutes trying to calm her down, but nothing. They tried everything but the poor baby wouldn't stop.

Jeevika was nearly in tears feeling helpless. After a while she remembered the checklist she had made for when babies cry and mentally went through it.

She abruptly took chutki from Viren who was rocking her in his arms and lay her gently across her shoulder and began to pat and rub her back. Soon enough they heard a silent popping noise and she stopped crying. A sigh of relief washed over their faces as she immediately fell asleep again. Jeevika returned her to the cradle and sat down just looking at her. Viren sat next to her wrapping an arm around her shoulder. Jeevika was in tears.

"I'm such a bad mother" she whispered whilst Viren rubbed her arm. "I couldn't even understand my baby's cries, I couldn't take care of her properly"

"Shh, look in that case I'm a bad father too, even I didn't know what to do" he consoled her. "You know what ma told me? She said there is no right way to parent, every baby has different needs and it's understanding those needs that makes you a good parent. Mistakes will happen and if they don't, how will you learn from then. See now we know to never forget to burp her after feeding. Don't think of yourself as a bad parent, you're not, you're the best. Now don't think too much and go to sleep, who knows we might have to be up a few more times tonight" he lifted her face to him and wiped her tears away. They settled back onto the bed and he pulled her into his arms.

"Goodnight Mrs Vadhera" he whispered to her pecking her lips.

"Goodnight Virenji"

But of course Chutki thought otherwise as she woke them up another 3 times that night, but they weren't complaining, it only meant more time spent with their daughter.

-----------

This was more of a virika family OS than a virika os, but I was sad that we never got to see Jeevika meeting her baby for the first time, so this is how I hoped it would have happened!

This is REALLY cute! <3 I'm so glad you decided to post this.

I always wished they had shown Jeevika seeing her baby for the first time in the show. This was really well-expressed, it gave me so many Virika feels! Loved the description of their little "Chutki" The ending bit where they struggled to navigate through their new roles as parents was really sweet and realistic - the fear of being a "bad mother" is probably something that every first-time mother goes through.

You did a really great job with this one! Can't wait to read more of your work <3
