~Which Path Leads Me To You~

The small & in-ornate room was absorbed with a smell of antiquity. Like an aged & packed incident's speechless witness a complete stillness was predominating the room, though a mild sound of conversation was obstructing the silence.
"Are you alright Arohi?" The firm yet delicate voice sprouted. Arohi nodded silently, she tried to smile, but it came out like a grotesque way of denying the truth. Gauri Kashyap, the lady sitting in front of her was Arohi's senior. Her presence had some steadiness yet delicate essence. Arohi had thought she won't come today to meet with her, but apart from her personal space there were some professional ethics which she couldn't deny.
"Mujhe toh abhi bhi samaj nahi ayi, tum campaigning keliye Rajasthan hi kyun choose kiya..." She sipped the tea & put the cup on the table gently. Then she went on, "dekho, meri personal experience mein meine bahot bar dekha hai ki log hamesha chahte hai, rather insist karte hai ki hum unhe koi nearest place de. But you are an extraordinary case." She stopped and smiled looking at Arohi. Arohi said nothing.
"Is there any reason behind this decision?" Gauri asked.
"Not really maam, I...actually wanted to discover this place, so..." She replied intermittently in a dull way. Gauri stared at her for a moment & then smiled.
"Great then..." She stood up and went towards a shelf situated in a corner of the room, opened it & took out a green file. Flipping the pages, she came back & sat in front of her.
"So, this is your file" She handed it over to Arohi, "Iss pe sare places ka naam likha hai aur senior doctors ka bhi, you take a look" Arohi nodded. "Toh kab ja rahi ho...?" Gauri asked.
"Kal" Arohi replied, "Ok maam...I think I should leave now..." Arohi stood up. Gauri gave her a nod. Arohi turned & got to go when she heard Gauri's voice,
"Arohi, agar tumhare maan mein koi tufaan uth raha hai, usse beh jane do, roko maat. Kyun ki jab ye toofan khatam ho jayega tumhe ye yaad nahi rahega ye kaisa tha aur kaise tumne iska samna kiya, par when you come out of the storm you will be a changed person. Someone completely different. New. And that's what this storm is all about..." Arohi smiled. Turned around & left.

Amidst all the chaos & anxiety in the Mittal Mansion the doorbell rang & ceased all the sounds. Kumud went to open the door, Salil & Teji went with her as well. Only Rudrapratap was sitting in the same way as he was sitting before. Arjun entered while talking on the phone.
"Yeah, thank you so much, no...no...no need to delivery the ticket in my home, just mail me...yeah..." He went upstairs showing cold shoulder to everyone standing there.
"Mein dekhta hun..." Salil muttered & ran behind him.
Salil entered his room and saw that the bed is messy, & Arjun is packing his bag.
"What the hell are you doing Arjun?" Salil asked, standing at the doorstep. Arjun didn't answer. He took some shirts and put them in the bag.
"Arjun...aaj hi hospital se aya hai tu, kahan gaya tha aur ye packing kisliye kar raha hai ?" Salil asked again while entering in the room. But Arjun remained silent as before.
"Arjun, I am asking you something..." Salil nabbed the tees from his hand & yelled,
"Shefali ka ghar gaya tha mein Salil..." Arjun yelled too.
"Why?" Salil frowned.
"Kaam tha..." Arjun gave him a small answer.
"Aur ye packing kyun kar raha hai tu?" He demanded again.
"Mujhe jana hai..." Arjun said and turned his face.
"Kahan...?" Salil wanted to know everything & Arjun's small answers was making him more agitated.
"Arohi ko dhundne..." Arjun's voice rose up & he grabbed the tee from Salil's hand & put that in the bag.
"Pagal ho gaya hai kya tu? Abhi aya hai tu hospital se, kuch hi ghante huye hai, tu Arohi ko dhundne jayega iss halaat mein..." Salil said. He was taken aback.
"Haan jayunga Salil...I will go..." Arjun shouted.
"You have become insane Arjun..." Salil shook his head.
"Nahi, I was insane, hosh mein aya hun mein ab, aur ane ke baad se khud ko kosh raha...har waqt..." Arjun said.
"Mujhe samaj nahi aaraha tera jana kyun jaruri hai...hum kisiko bhej sakte hai..." But Salil got interrupted as Arjun spoke again.
"Tujhe samaj nahi aa raha hai nah..." He turned & took a white paper from the bedside table & gave that to Salil, " Ye padh...aur achhe se padh, phir sochna tujhe lagta hai tu kisiko bhejega aur woh wapas chali ayegi...nahi ayegi...woh chali gayi hai, bina kuch bole, manta hun it was my fault, lekin chodke chali gayi...kyun?" Frustrated, Arjun turned back & brought out a red scarf. "Dekh ye bhi dekh" He hold the scarf in front of Salil's eyes. "woh aisi ladki nahi hai , aur mein use wapas lana chata hun kyun ki mujhe janna hai itni zid, nafrat, gusse ka wajah kya hai..." Then he took a deep breath & said again,
"Dekh, mera jana bahot jaruri hai...aur mujhe rok maat aur kuch puch bhi maat..." Arjun said & put the scarf in the bag. True love has always been a messy ride. Arjun knew that. But he didn't know which path will direct him to Arohi. His Arohi. But standing on this brink of this non-ending hollowness he has chosen this way. Because there was nothing he could have done at this very stage. But apart from that, what troubled him was the way Arohi left him. Like a sand storm; who came without any notice & took a wing all of a sudden.
"Par Arjun ye pagalpanti hai, bhul ja usko...just forget her..." Salil said as he was still shocked. still not get the fact that Arjun has taken a decision like this.
Arjun turned at once,
"Kisko bhul jau? Kudko ya Arohi ko? dono ek hi hai aur mujhe dono hi wapas chahiye Salil." He said & took the moneybag from the table & came outside of the room.
"Arjun...Arjunnn" Salil came running behind him & take his hand,
"Thik hai, mein bhi jayunga tere saath..."
"Nahi..." Arjun rejected his utterance, "Yeh zindagi mera hai, problems bhi meri hai aur dono ko mujhe hi sambhalna padega ..." Arjun said while coming down through the stairs,
"Arjun...Arjun sun toh... Arohi kahan hai kisiko nahi pata, kahan dhundega tu use..." Salil followed him. Arjun came down to the hall. Rudrapratap was sitting like before. Kumud and Teji were looking at him, Arjun stopped & turned.
"Arohi Rajasthan mein hai..."
"Rajasthan ek bahot bada jagah hai Arjun, aur Rajasthan mein kahan dhondoge tum use...?" After a long Rudrapratap uttered. Rage & displeasure were dripping through his articulation.
"Arohi uski duniya mein hai, glass window ke andar se main na hi uss duniya ko dekh payunga aur na hi use dhoond payunga. isliye mujhe bahar nikalna hi hoga..." Arjun answered.
Dejected, Rudrapratap said again, " Jo ho gaya use mutthi mein samet ne ka koshis maat karo Arjun. Mere papa ne mujhe apni zindagi banane keliye jo paise diye the use meine 10 guna jyada banaya...I hope you can understand what I mean." Rudrapratap stood up, "Zindagi bahot lambi hai beta, yeh sab bhool jao, dard kaam ho jayega..." & stated.
"Dard..." Arjun's lips curved in a satiric smile. "Pata hai mujhe dard kahan hota hai..." Arjun pointed his finger at the left side of his chest. "Yaahan hota hai, use khone ka dard, use dard dene ka dard, par aap ye sab nahi samjhenge..."
Arjun turned at his mother. Kumud smiled.
"Apka ye nalayek beta apne pyaar ko dhundne ja raha hai...woh mil jayegi nah?" She nodded.
"Jarur milegi, sachha pyaar kabhi khali haath nahi laut ta..." Teji said.
"Salil"Arjun called him.
"Uss charan ko call karke bata dena Delhi ka penthouse thoda saaf karke rakhe mein aaj shaam tak pahoch jayunga..."
Salil looked at Rudrapratap once and folded his hands while nodding.
"Toh tum jaoge hi..." Rudrapratap's voice came,
"Pyaar karne ka ek zimmedari hota hai, Arohi ne apna zimmedari puri kar di ab meri bari..." He said. Leave the hall room he came outside & sat in the car. The car went on.

"Woh Salil Mittal tha?" Arohi almost screamed in excitement. Shefali grinned.
"Haan, aree abhi tak toh asli baat hi nahi batayi meine..."
"Asli baat...?" Arohi asked adjusting the packet which she was carrying. They were coming back home and with the heavy packets full of books Arohi literally struggling while walking.
"Meine Salil se kahan ki woh tujhe ek baar Arjun se mila de, aur usne haan kar diya," Shefali said in an excited tone.
"Kya? sach mein..." Arohi couldn't believe in her own ears.
"Haan sach mein...par kahan hai ki he will try, but I know woh ye kaam kar hi lega..." Shefali said in a happy voice.
"Kar hi lega..." Arohi mimicked her tone. "Kuch nahi karega, Shefali woh kuch bhi nahi karega..."
Shefali's smile get disappered.
"Usne tera number liya...?" Arohi asked. Shefali frowned for a second & shook her head.
"Pata hi tha, kyun lega..ab tu use call karegi janne keliye toh phone switched off karke rakhega...ye saab techniques hai, mujhe toh usi din samaj aa gaya jis din woh guard..."
"Tu abhi tak uss guard pe atki hai..." Shefali got irritated. "Mein aaj shaam karungi phone, aur mujhe pata hai woh kar lega..." Shefali said.
Arohi looked at her, "Ek din 10 min milke sab samaj gayi tu? kya baat hai..."
"Haan, samaj gayi..." Shefali replied in an angry tone.
"Jo marzi kar mujhe padhna hai shaam ko, Saturday exam hai meri..." Arohi said without looking at her.

When Salil, Rashi & Vicky came back home, they saw the whole house is decorated. The railing of the stairway was covered with deep blue piece of clothes, flower bouquets were placed on the pillars & the fimbrias of white crystals were hanging through the walls.
"Kitni khoobsurat hai..." Rashi screamed in happiness, both Paddy and Kumud turned and smiled seeing her. Rashi entered hurriedly and hugged Paddy,
"Kitna achha decorations hai ye, Par itni jaldi kyun kar diya, party toh kal hai..."
"Beta party kaaal nahi, kal hai, ab decoration mein toh waqt lagta hai upar se hamari Rashi aur Vicky keliye party jo hai..." Kumud said.
"Mom...we were thinking ki hum dono ka..." Vicky pointed at Rashi, "dress ka colour combination same karte hai...hai nah baby?" Rashi nodded, "Yes mom...Vicky is right, it sounds great"
"Achha uncle aur dad kahan hai?" Salil asked looking here & there.
"Woh kuch kaam keliye gaye hai...official kaam.." Paddy replied.
"Aur Arjun...?" Salil asked again.
"Woh upar hi hai..." Kumud said.
"Aate hi apna kabab ka khoj..." Paddy giggled. Kumud joined her as well.
"Mom stop it," Salil yelled and ran to meet Arjun.
Salil knocked once & entered. Arjun was busy with his laptop. Seeing Salil he smiled,
"Bro, guess what? deal ho gayi final..." Arjun stated.
"Ye deal chod...yeh pyaar ka kya chakkar hai? Tune mujhe bataya nahi ki there is someone in your life." Salil stooped on the table where he was working.
"Girl? what girl? Daru peeke aya hai kya?" Arjun made a face.
"Ek ladki mili thi market pe she claimed that her friend is in love with you...and..." But Arjun didn't let him complete but started laughing. After a moment he stopped,
"Phir..." he said controlling his oozing out laugh.
"I gave her my card...by the I was just joking okay..."
"Laga hi tha isliye itni hasi ayi..." Arjun said.
"Aree nahi the girl claimed that...joking part was tere life mein hai wala..." Salil sat on the couch.
"Toh tune card kyun diya...?" Arjun asked.
"Toh aur kya karta? peeche padh gayi thi, chutkara pane keliye I just..."
"Salil iss type ke ladkiyan aise hi hote hai, aa jate hai kahin se bhi, ab dekhna call kar karke tujhe pareshaan kar dega..."
"Toh karne de nah kya farak padhta hai...tera phone mei utha lunga..." Salil and Arjun both turned and saw Vicky there.
"Vicky...shut up..." Arjun spoke.
"Tujhe card nahi dena chahiye tha Salil."
"Arjun you haven't listened everything yet, dekh she wants ki mein uski frined ko tujhse mila dun ekbaar..."
"Toh...?" Arjun asked.
"Toh tu ekbar usse mil le...kissa khatam..." Salil said. But Arjun ignored him and got up.
"Impossible, have you gone mad?"
"Arjun dekh mein bhi sure nahi tha, but you know the way she was speaking, it was genuine..." Salil tried to convince him,
"Areee...toh ye log aise hi tarike panate hai nah...genuine banna toh ek drama hai..." Arjun said & again sat in front of his laptop.
"Nahi Arjun, that's what I am saying...normally log pretend karte hai but she wasn't pretending anything. See, I can't force you, it's upto you bas I feel ki you should once..." Salil said.
"Kahin tujhe toh pyaar nahi ho gaya Salil uss ladki se..." Arjun said and controlled his laughter once again.
"Brother Arjun..." Vicky spoke after a long, "Kaunsa tu use roz roz milega...ek baar mein kaam nipta dena, dimmag se socho...aur brother pasand aa jaye toh..." He winked at Arjun.
"Vicky got a point of course woh pasand aa jaye part chodke..." Salil said.
Arjun pressed his temple with his fingertips & then said,
"Okay, I will..kal party hai nah ghar pe...use invite kar dena..."
"Part mein...I thought tu akele milnewala hai..." Salil said. He was quite surprised.
"Akele kyun milna hai...sabke samne hi mil lunga..." Arjun smiled.
"Bro after you, can I just..." Vicky tried to express it but Arjun stopped him,
"Vicky leave..." Vicky shrugged his shoulder & exited.
"Ek number ka kamina hai ye...Sorry Salil but that what he is..." Arjun said.
"Leave him...toh kal ka done?" Salil asked.
Arjun heaved a sigh & nodded. Salil was leaving when Arjun's voice made him halt,
"What's her name?"
Salil thought for a second,
"Name...Ar...Arohi...I think..aisa hi kuch kahan tha..." He said & went away.
"Arohi...chalo mulakaat kar hi lete hai..." He smiled & got engrossed in his laptop.

The books were open in front of her, but Arohi was staring at the sky. It's been 2 days the sky was covered with dark clouds. Arohi was eagerly awaiting for the rain. From her childhood she is been hearing that first rain of the season is always special. If you wish something standing beneath the rain, it will turn up true. She wanted to make a wish & suddenly her phone rang. She saw the caller name *Shefali* bliking on the screen.
"Haan kya hai Shefi?" She received the call.
"Good news, nahi nahi best news..." Shefali was excited.
"Kya...?" She asked, though Arohi could sense that this news was related to Arjun. But she was scared to accept that.
"Areee ufff...kal finally hum Arjun se milnewale hai..." Shefali screamed in excitement.
For a second, Arohi could not infer what to say, how to respond.
"Are you serious?" She asked, in a subdued tone, breathing heavily.
"Haan 100% serious...I called that Salil, he said Arjun maan gaya & kal unke ghar ek party hai, hum invited hai...kahan ki card ki jaruraat nahi hai... Can you believe it Aru?" Shefali's voice was trembling with happiness.
"No, actually not...I am so happy, excited, scared...kal bata dungi mein sab kuch...at last...woh din aa hi gaya..kal shaam mein..."
"Yeh sab kya hai Arohi?"
Arohi startled. And hushed, "Papa aye hai, kal milte hai, rakhti hun mein..." She cut the call & turned.
"Papa woh...kal Arjun ke ghar pe ek party hai, hum invited hai..." Arohi said mumbling.
"Toh ab ye saab karogi tum? Iss Saturday exam hai tumhara...aur padhai chodke ye..."
"But papa...jitna doctor banna mere liye important hai Arjun se milna bhi important hai papa..." Arohi said cutting Hariprasad.
"Beta, tumne jab jo chaha humne diya, Arjun naam ka ek khwab ke peeche bhag rahi ho tum unke liye bhi kabhi mana nahi kiya...lekin har cheez ko ek hadd mein rakhna padhta hai..." Hariprasad said.
"Kuch nahi hoga papa. Kal sab perfect hoga, finally mein milungi aur ap dekhna mera exam bahot achha hoga. I promise you that. Lekin please papa kal jane keliye maat rokiye...kal bahot important day hai, & I know kal I will be the happiest. Please papa..." Arohi requested.
"Thik hai, par kal ke baad ye saab chodke bas padhai mein concentration karogi..." Hariprasad said. Arohi nodded.

The flight reached at Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport. Finishing all the additional works when Arjun came outside, he saw Charan Mishra, the staff of their Delhi branch. Arjun gave his bag to him,
"AC off kar do aur open the window" He said while sitting in the car. Charan sat in the front beside the driver, he was baffled hearing that. He & the driver exchanged a surprised glance & did that.
"Sir, Salil sir call kiya tha mujhe...meine sab kuch saaf karke rakha hai..." Charan said.
"Achha Delhi se Rajasthan kitna waqt lagta hai by road?" Arjun asked while looking at the outside.
"7-8 ghante toh lag hi jata hai" Charan replied.
"How is the bike's condition? ek kaam karo usko aaj hi servicing mein bhejo...aur kal subah hi mujhe woh wapas chahiye..." Arjun said.
"Aap kahi janewale hai sir?" Charan asked.
"Haan...Rajasthan..." Arjun replied quite nonchalantly. Outside was hot, a dust ridden air was hitting the atmoshphere heavy.
"Sir, ek baat puchu?" Charan asked in a meek tone.
Arjun gave him a short "Hmmm".
"Mujhe puchna toh nahi chahiye par Rajasthan kyun sir? Aur jana hi hai toh car le lijiye...itni dhoop mein bike...apko taqleef hoga..."
"Charan ji...kuch kaam aise hote hai jinko pura karne keliye taqleef uthana padhta hai, aur jab woh kaam khud se juda ho tab taqleef mehsoos nahi hoti..." Arjun said.
"Thik hai...mein apka bike aaj hi bhej deta hun..." Charan said.
Arjun heaved a sigh.

The auto stopped with a break, in the whole time Arohi was unmindful. She boared down from the auto. The gate of her residential quarter was wide open. She walked through the path while the last line of Gauri was rumbling in her head. Everyone has his or her own storm & the mode of fighting with them is different. But what matters is this outcome of this fight. She never expected Arjun to be changed for her because she knew that he won't change. Arohi reached into her room. She opened the file and saw the names of the places. Placing itone the bed, she brought out her bag. When people grow up they grows up aling with certain moral values, ethics, some form of perception of his/her own & here no-one can compel them to to change that. Not even she. She has to leave early in the morning. She thought that & indulged herself in packing.

Superb update !!! Increasing the curosity about both the meets... what will happen at the first meet which will lead arjun to fall in live and the second one too, will he be able to convince arohi to come back in his life... wondering what transpired between them...

Why the hell salil didn't recognize shefali & arohi name?

When Arjun mention their name many times

Arjun was ready to go find arohi in rajisthan

On the other hand arohi was running away from Arjun

I have a feeling that latter wasn't write by arohi so confused & Arjun was clueless why arohi left him

Oh god why Arjun didn't react on hearing arohi name from salil?

Now don't know what gonna happen when arohi & shefali will got to meet Arjun in party

Nice update...😉 Arjun agreed to meet Arohi at the party 😲 I didn't think he'll agree like this...😃 hmm...interesting...and Arohi 's dad let her to go to the party and she will be going to meet him...😃 finally ,we're getting close to the meeting part of the past😊

Did Salil just ask Arjun to forget Arohi?Even Arjun don't know why she left him and here everyone's asking him to forget her...😡 I know he's come back from an accident and anyone who cares won't let him go like this...but asking him to forget her is what's disturbing..
