- | Chapter Four | -

Sharon brought Alisha home, who was little weak yet excited to meet Rey once again. Sharon made her stay in room next to hers.

"Di, where is Rey?" Alisha asked his sister, looking at her expectedly. Ever since she had recovered from her long sleep, she was quite insecure and feared about her relation with Rey. She has fear of loosing him. Six years were enough to fall out of love and she feared, Rey hadn't fallen out of love with her.

"He has left for office. You can meet him in evening, but for now take some rest." Sharon replied to her sister.

Alisha gave a small nod in response and lay down on the bed as sharon covered her with blanket. Sharon placed a kiss on her head before she walked out of the room.

Sharon went in Rey's room. She had lied to her sister since Rey wasn't in mood to meet anyone. Since taani has left, he had locked himself in his room.

She knocked on the door but got no response. Then she pushed the door open and entered the dark room. She switched on the lights and found him on the bed in half laying position. When he sensed someone's presence, he opened his eyes and look at the person in annoyance.

"Rey, Alisha is in guest room." Sharon informed him. Rey gave a confused look to her.

"She wanted to meet you." Sharon answered his unasked question.

"Not now, sharon. Please." Rey muttered. Then his gaze fell over the clock and he got up with a jerk.

"Damn! I am late." He cursed under his breathe, he grabbed his wallet and car keys from the side table and rushed out of the room in hurry.

"Rey, where are you going?" Sharon, who followed him out, asked him. But he was in too much hurry to stop and answer her.

He left the house in hurry.

Arhaan snuggled up in his mothers arms as she stepped out of the car, Taani placed her hand over her son's head to protect him from the sun rays falling over him which seems to irritate him.

She walked inside the hospital, she was there was her routine check up.

She walked toward the doctor's cabin, but got surprised when she found her husband, soon to be ex husband, sitting outside the doctor's cabin.

And when the little Arhaan noticed his father, he started jumping arms of his mother while leaning toward his father, gesturing him to take him in his arms.

"What are you doing here?" Taani held her child close to her heart and asked him in stern, sharp tone.

"You know the answer." Rey muttered under his breathe, taani looked away from him. She knew he was there for her check, even when she was pregnant with Arhaan, he made sure to be there beside her during her check ups.

"Papah-" Little Arhaan interrupted his parents. Rey look at his son who looked eager to come to him. Rey stepped forward to take him in his arms but taani took a step back. Hurt crossed his features but he composed himself.

"Let me take him." Rey whispered softly. Taani look at him then at her child who was still looking at his father. She sighed, and handed Arhaan to him.

Arhaan cupped his father's face in his tiny palms before his lips curved into a sweet smile which made Rey smile too. Its been while he had spent time with his son and he missed him truly.

"Ma'am, you can go inside. Doctor is waiting." Nurse come over and told taani who nodded in response. She stole a glance at him who was busy in showering kisses on their son, she turned and walked inside the cabin.

"Mumma is not in good mood today." Rey said to his son who giggled. Rey placed a wet kiss on his cheek before he followed taani inside the doctor's cabin.

Doctor greeted the couple as they took their seats opposite to her.

"Hows little Ari?" Doctor Amrit look at the little boy who was seated comfortably on his father's lap.

"He is turning into a spoilt brat. Always throwing tantrums." Taani answered. Doctor let out a chuckle.

"Amrit, has her reports come?" Rey asked amrit, the atmosphere turned serious while taani was shocked to see his concern.

May its to show responsibility toward the baby. Taani thought to herself and was almost convinced with that thought.

"Yes, Rey. And there are complications in her pregnancy. She needs proper care and take care of herself which she wasn't doing. Her stress level has increased which can lead to harm to the baby and herself." Amrit told him while giving a stern glare to taani. More than a doctor, she was taani's friend.

Amrit led taani inside the room attached to her cabin, for the check up. While Rey waited patiently outside.

"Did you missed daddy? I missed my ari so much." Rey asked his son who look at him with a cute baby pout. Rey kissed his tiny nose and held him close to him.

He knew he was unfair to his son as well. Knowingly or unknowingly, he had ignored his son who want nothing but his love & attention.

Life wasn't fair to him, it snatched the girl he loved, away from him but it didn't gave him any right to mistreat his wife & son who don't have any fault in all this.

The fault lies in him, for not being strong enough to let go of his past and not accepting his present.

True, his mother forced him for marriage. But it was his duty to stand true to his marriage vows. If only he had tried to understand his wife and let her to get to know him as well.

Understand, trust and love are base of any relationship. There is hidden love, but not understanding and trust. And he doesn't know if he will be able to win her trust.

Taani, the girl who fought with him for her rights, looked wrong to him. She was trying to take place of Alisha. He ignored her. He fought back with her. He taunted her for being what she is. He disliked her for being demanding, when in reality she demanded nothing but his little time.

"Papah!" His trance was broken when his little one called out for him.

"Yes, baby." Rey crooned softly. Arhaan look at him with such innocence that melted his heart.

"Daddy has brought new toy car for Ari. I know my ari likes cars." Rey told his son who giggled softly.

The little moment of Father-Son was interrupted as the doctor returned back with taani. Taani came and took her seat beside rey. She glanced at her son who was busy in playing with his father's car keys, ignoring her presence around he seems to enjoy the attention his father was showering on him.

"Traitor." She muttered under her breathe.

"Rey, I am prescribing some medicines to her, make sure she take them on time. And take special care of her diet." Amrit said to him who listened to her attentively then nodded his head in understanding.

Rey took the prescription and diet plan along with her reports. They come out of the doctor's cabin.

"Taani, you are coming home with me. I can not risk your & baby's health." Rey told her in stern tone.

"No! I am not coming with you." Taani replied back. She hated how he always give orders to her and expect her to follow them blindly.

"Yes. You are. Didn't you heard what doctor said-" Rey sighed in frustration.

"I did. And i am very well capable of taking care of my self. You need not to worry." Taani snapped back at him. Rey rubbed his temples, trying to calm his anger.

"Come, ari." Taani turned to her son, she tried taking him from rey but arhaan tighten his hold around his father's neck, refusing to let him go.

"Let him stay with me. I will drop him at your mom-dad's place in evening." Rey said to taani who ignored him and still tried to take Arhaan from him.

"You mean at my place? And No. I will take him along." Taani murmured.

"Your place is where we live, our home. Thats your paternal home. And Taani, he is my son as well. You can't snatch my right to be with him." Rey told her in sharp tone. Taani stopped and look at him with a sarcastic smile.

"Good to see you remember you have a child as well. I thought you might have forgot about it while taking care of your ex." Taani taunted him which he ignored.

"I want him back home by 6." Taani told him in sharp tone. Rey gave a small nod to her.

"Come, I will drop you." Rey said to her.

"No need. I have my car." Taani answered him back before she turned around and left from there.

"It will take time for mumma to forgive daddy, isn't it?" Rey asked his son who didn't understand a thing but smiled at his father.

"Lets go home. Dadu-dadi will be elated to see you." Rey mumbled. He kissed his chubby cheek and left for his home.

nice update... aww arhan missed rey so much... alish at rey's home... I didnt lyk how Sharon wants rey to meet her sister... I mean he is married now... taani called arhan traitor...:P update soon thnx fr pm
