Khushi was scared. Scared if it was all true and Arnav wouldn't declare it to be a joke when he wakes up from his hangover the next morning. Her heart wanted it to be true and she wondered why. How would it make a difference to her if the man who destroyed her sister's life and her life, happened to love her?
Khushi gently placed Arnav on the couch she had held onto and moved to the poolside once she decided that Arnav would not fall down in his sleep. Her concern for him again managed to trouble Khushi's already discombobulated mind. Her mother's betrayal to her doting father was something which snatched away her trust on love. The young girl who dreamed of a Prince Charming would sweep her off her feet never dared to dream about love again once she realized the gravity of her mother's deeds.
" You both seem so much in love.."
Shashi's words during her wedding flooded her distraught consciousness. She knew there was a thin line between love and hate. Her concern for him, her heart yearning for his love, her soul unable to hate him as much as she wanted it, her eyes searching for him as they went against her orders, everything pointed to the same thing. The attraction which she wanted to die out had never faded but had resulted in something much purer, much convoluted and much irresistible than their attraction; irresistible love.
Khushi slid down the glass doors of the poolside as the realization sank deep into her. She was apprehensive of the heartbreak which her father had lived through. She never wanted to love but it had already happened and it was a late realization for her. Khushi sent out a mental prayer to the God that Arnav shouldn't say that whatever he said this sacred night was false.
Khushi lost the track of time and her surroundings and was soon lulled into deep sleep by the strong winds echoing in a rhythm of peace.

Next Morning,
Due to her uncomfortable position, Khushi was the first one to open her eyes amongst the two to realize that it was already early morning. She turned around to look if Arnav had woken up to realize that he hadn't and then her heart reminded of Lavanya. Khushi was too frightened to even hope she would be alright considering NK's obsession for her. Nonchalantly and lifelessly, Khushi freshened up and moved to search Lavanya, only to find her in the small living room of the first floor.
" LAVANYA! Are you alright? Did NK try to hurt you last night?" Without an exchange of pleasantries, Khushi bombarded questions at a shocked Lavanya who was taken by surprise due to Khushi's sudden shriek but she soon relaxed seeing Khushi.
" Not at all, Khushi. He was very courteous and remorseful when I informed the circumstances in which I agreed to marry him. He seemed to be more than elated that I agreed to marry him to care about the consummation and he respected my feelings. I think it wouldn't be long before he manages to make me fall for him. How about you?" Lavanya's confessions brought Khushi to the shore of guilt as every word she hurled at Arnav, the previous night came back to her with double the force.
She had accused him and his brother of heinous things which they might not even think.
Maybe Arnav actually loved her...
And she wouldn't face a heartbreak.
" Khushi..." It was Lavanya's slight jerking which brought Khushi back to reality.
" What happened, Khushi? Everything alright?" Concern dripped from Lavanya's voice while Khushi was too flustered to notice and her brain was thinking of something wholly different.
" Lav, I will speak to you later." Khushi excused herself and made an exit from there before Lavanya could stop her and question her about her unusually discomposed behavior.
She needed sometime alone to compose herself and Khushi knew it.

Arnav-Khushi Room,
With his head feeling extremely heavy and throbbing pain resonating in his brain, Arnav woke up to find himself in soft couch of his. As he troubled his mind further to think on how he reached there, the last night's confrontation between him and Khushi came in front of his eyes.
Arnav jerked up to a sitting position to look around if Khushi was there, only to find her nowhere around him. Worry reigned control over his dazed mind as he wondered if Khushi thought that whatever he confessed was all false and a result of his drunkenness. He cursed himself for drinking till he forgot his sanity.
The non-crinkled bed cover just added to his discomfort as he found himself speculating where Khushi could have slept. He was unable to move his body as the uncomfortable position he was in throughout the night and his hangover didn't help his situation. He just hoped that Khushi was not hurt by his confession as his past behavior towards her never proved to her that he loved her.
Arnav managed to carry himself to the bathroom without damaging any of his room decor after picking up his outfit as he knew that he definitely required a cold shower to calm his nerves down and to ease his brain from the anguish.
The drops of water sliding down his body couldn't bring down the stress which tormented his heart. Realizing that showering was not going to help him, Arnav moved out of the washroom after dressing up in his casuals, only to find someone banging into him. As an instinctive action, his hands moved to steady the other person while his eyes moved up to identify the person. Only if he knew that his eyes were going to locked with hers as if they were made to be locked in that passionate manner.
" Khushi..." A hoarse and husky whisper left his lips while Khushi trembled in her arms as her name from his lips sounded too perfect.
Where would the meet lead to?
