CHAPTER 2-BEGINNING OF A NIGHTMARE
Hello guys!My exams are starting tomorrow but I wrote this chapter and edited it 10 times!😛I don't know why but TaaRey are most prominent on my mind during exams!😆Next chapter after exams.I hope you all like it!😊

"You know you love someone so deeply,when the thought of losing her forever scares you and brings you to tears."
Just when Rey was about to drive off,he heard a bloodcurdling scream.For a moment he stood still.
"Yeh awaaz toh..."he trailed off. "Shit..NO!!"
Realization hit him hard.Dread gripping him,His heart began beating at an abnormal rate.The very next minute he dashed off in the direction of that scream.
He stopped,panting for breath when he saw four men laughing maniacally at a figure lying by the side of the road.
Rey could not understand what was going on in front of him.He was sweating badly and his head was throbbing.He slowly began making his way toward the spot where those men stood when one of them pounced on the figure.
All the men had their attention riveted on their comrade,hence they did not notice Rey who stood horrified.Unable to even move a muscle.
The man had his face buried somewhere in the crook of the girl's neck who Rey could now identify as TAANI.
Rey stood there numb.He was breathing rapidly and heat radiated from his entire being.He wanted to run and rescue her but his body refused to pay heed.His heart screamed in pain.
Taani's eyes were slightly open.She had screamed,cried and begged.She had tried everything possible to protect herself.She had bit one of the man's hands,hit two of them yet could not save herself,because her body had already weathered other injuries.At the end they had over-powered her.She continued yelling and protesting even though she knew nothing could save her now.
Finally,she lost all her strength to protest after having been raped by each of those 4 bas***ds.One of them hit her hard on her head due to which she was slowly losing consiousness.She could barely even feel any pain now.Her mind and soul had gone totally numb.She could no longer endure this nightmare.
Her heart only wished to see Rey for one last time.She recalled their confession moments in her room.But those were only far-off memories now..yet Taani wanted them to be her last thoughts.
"Rang they noor tha..jab karib tu tha..ek jannat sa tha yeh jahan.Hamari adhuri kahani.."
She turned her face to her right,exhausted.With her barely open eyes she found a figure too familiar running toward them like a possessed man.
Rey having recovered from his shock ran toward the men,rage completely overtaking him.He seemed to have gained some inhuman strength.
He yanked away the man trying to do more damage.Pushing away the other three men who gripped him from behind he began beating the man mercilessly.
"CHODUNGA NAHI MAIN TUJHE."yelled Rey.
Taani couldn't believe he had actually come!But no!Nothing could happen to him.Slowly slipping into a sub-conscious state she prayed for her Rey to be safe.
Two men came to hit him with sticks but Rey defended expertly.His eyes shone with an unearthly glow of rage in them.That kind of pain and rage which could destory anyone and everyone.
"AAA"he roared and charged forward toward them.He hit them with their own sticks and pushed the two men who ended up injuring their heads on a tree trunk.
The third one pounced on him from behind only to be tackled by Rey who had now turned into a mad animal.Rey began beating him furiously when the fourth man who had tried to do more harm to Taani struck Rey on his arms with a boulder.
"AAA!"screamed Rey in pain while the man smirked.He pulled Rey up toward him.His comrades had already fled the scene.
The man hit an already injured Rey on his stomach.Lying there,fighting for conciousness Taani struggled to raise her hands,"Reyy"she said feebly.
Her other palm clutched Rey's gift-her heart-shaped locket.The only thing she had been successful from preventing at being snatched away from her.Tears flowed from her tired eyes.
The man was hitting Rey on his face and upper body when Rey's eyes again fell on Taani.He had to save her.He could not lose her.He could see her calling out to him.Something went off inside him again.
Summoning every bit of his energy he pushed the man toward a tree trunk and furiously began returning all his blows.He would not have let him escape had he not seen Taani lose her conciousness.
Rey left the guy and ran toward her.Taking the opportunity the man ran away.
"Taani!!Taani??Aankhe kholo Taani.Main.. tumhara Rey."Rey called out taking her lifeless form in his arms.
Blood,sweat and tears covered Rey's face.He was deeply rattled both emotionally and physically.But the fire in him to save Taani kept him going.He checked for her pulse and was relieved to find a faint trace of it.
"Taani..taani tumhe kuch nahi hoga.Main tumhe bacha lunga.Bacha lunga."he cried.
Rey looked down at her half naked body with torn bits of her top covering her upper body and only bits of her pant covering her side tighs and ankles.The rest of her lower body was covered with blood.Her body had many scars which told him she had been physically abused previously.He shut his eyes tight for a minute.His body shivered.His entire being ached at this tortorous sight.
Ache wasn't even an apt word.His insides twisted in unending agony.He would have preferred to have died then and there.But he had to save her.It is said that true love gives courage to a person even in his darkest hours.The love Rey's soul had for its beloved Taani,gave the strength he required.
Taani..Taani..bas kuch der aur.Please please hang on."he said qucikly covering her bleeding limp form with the blanket.
Carrying her carefully in his arms,he placed her in his car and raced off to the nearest hospital.
The drive was nothing less than a horrible nightmare.He kept glancing back,anxious to reach the hospital.Hoping against hope for her to survive.She had to.She definitely had to.
"Krishnaji pls..."he mumbled.
Thankfully there was no traffic.Battling his burning eyes and paying no heed to the continuous flow of tears,Rey drove at high speed and finally reached City Hospital in 25 minutes.it had begun pouring by then. (Bin mausam barsat I lovee! 😉)
He got Taani out of the car while the wardboys ran toward him.Quickly placing her on the stretcher they took her inside only to be stopped by the doctor.
'Accident case?"enquired the doctor.
Rey who was desperate for the treatment to start said,"No.Rape case."
The doctor said,"I am sorry.This is a police case.Have you informed them?"
The sleeping animal in Rey again awoke wild at the doctor's apathy.
"HAVE YOU LOST YOUR BLOODY MIND?GANG RAPE HUA HAI ISKA!!SHE HAS BEEN HIT ON HER HEAD.TREATMENT CHALU KIJIYE FOR GOD'S SAKE."he yelled.
"Dekhiye police ko inform kiye bina kuch nahi kar sakte."the doctor replied helpless.
"POLICE?FINE WAIT."Rey immediately dialled his uncle Rakesh Singhania,The Commssioner of Police.
"Hello Uncle?Main City Hospital se baat kar raha hun."
"Haan beta bolo?"Rakesh urged him to go on.
"Taani Shekawat,meri zindagi hai woh.Uska rape kiya gaya hai.Main usey hospital lekar aaya hun par doctor treatment nahi kar rahe yeh keh kar ki police ki permission chahiye.Please kuch kijiye."he wailed in desperation.
"My God.Phone speaker par lagao Reyaansh."
Rey did as he was told.
"Uss ladki ki treatment start karo.Save her.I am Rakesh Singhania,Commissioner of Police here."he roared.
The shocked doctor mouthed an immediate yes and wheeled Taani into the ICU.
A precious 35 minutes had been lost.Rey almost went inside the ICU only to be stopped by the nurses.
He looked as they wheeled her inside.The door shut.More tears stained Rey's cheeks as he kept praying for her to be saved.His vision blurred and tears clouded his sight as his energy deserted him and his exhausted body collapsed on the chair.
"Kyunki tum hi ho..ab tum hi ho..meri aashiqui ab tum hi ho."
Rey was immediately taken to the adjacent ward for treatment.
Meanwhile the Commissioner realised that Rishi Shekawat and Swayam Shekawat had lodged a complaint claiming that Taani Shekawat was missing since a week.He called up Tauji and asked him to come ASAP to City Hospital.
With The D3 gang,
"Main jaa rahi hun Sharon."said an anguished Kria to a livid Sharon.
It was 9:00 pm at night and Rey had still not arrived.(Don't ask me why they were waiting for so long!😆)
Sharon was about to reply when her cellphone rang.The caller ID surprised her.
"Ji uncle?"she said
"Sharon beta..agar Swayam hai waha toh usey lekar jaldi City hopital aajao."said Tauji clearly crying.
"Uncle?What's wrong?Swayam yaha nahi hai!"Sharon said instantly troubled.The D3 team moved closer to her.
"Beta..usey contact karo jaldi.Main usey yeh nahi bata paunga..Taani..Taani hospital mein hai beta.Please jaldi aajao."he said and cut the call.
Sharon was horrified.
"Kya hua Sharon?"asked Simmi.
"Guys..Swayam ke dad ka call tha!Taani is in the hospital.Kuch toh serious hua hai.Lets leave.Main abhi Swayam ko call karti hun."Sharon said in one go.
"WHAT?"cried a broken Swayam when he heard Sharon telling him his beloved sister was in the hospital.
Swayam who had been driving around all the secluded areas in the outskirts of Bombay in sheer hope of finding his Taani somewhere now drove like a madman to the hospital already dreading the worst,.His pain wasn't even describable.The heavy rains only seemed to add to his gloom.
Just when the police had gotten a clue that Taani could be somewhere in the city's outskirts hidden away,Swayam had seen a glimmer of hope.
But right now,the worst nightmare for him,Rey and Taani had begun.
That's it folks!Writing this one was emotionally tiring.
The identity of the men will be revealed in the future chapters.I hope you guys like this one!
