Shot 2

"I'm pregnant."

Those words shook him, he stare at her numbly.

"How-How did this happen-" Without thinking he spoke in daze. Taani stare at him with 'What-the-hell-are-you-talking' look.

"You seriously want me to tell you, how did this happen? So, how should i explain, theory will do or you want demonstration?" Taani asked him, her words coated in the syrup of sarcasm. Rey narrowed him eyes, sensing the sarcasm in her tone.

"I know it was unexpected. Take your time and think calmly-" Taani whispered softly, she took a towel from the handle, wrapping it around her body, she come out of the washroom, leaving him lost in his thought.

His mind was still trying to take in the news she had disclosed. It was surely unexpected but is he ready for this?

"Child..my child-" Rey thought to himself, a small smile made its way to his lips. It was a pleasant news, but isn't it too soon? But then, now nothing could be done to redo it nor he want to. He had always felt a child is blessing of god, and he respect that. Its true he hadn't expected this, he wasn't ready for this, but he wasn't going to reject it either.

He turned off the shower and stepped out of the washroom after wrapping a towel around his waist. His eyes roamed around, to have a glimpse of her and he finally found her, standing near the window, dressed in lavender colored satin nightie that covered her body till her mid-thighs.

He moved toward her, she straighten her posture when she felt his presence behind her. She turned around, facing him.

"So?" She asked him, she was quite nervous to know about his reaction, it can be negative or positive, she couldn't predict anything.

"We are having this baby..If you are okay with it." Rey told her with a smile. Her eyes lit up, she look at him with happiness and amusement twinkling in her eyes. Sudden happiness & relief seeped through her, she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him.

"Thank you! Thank you so much, baby." Taani mumbled in his chest. Rey kissed her head and hugged her back.

"Lets go and eat something, I haven't eaten anything in tension of your reaction" Taani grumbled, she pulled back from his grasp and walked toward the door but stopped when she felt he isn't following her.

"What? Won't you be distracted if i come almost naked?" Rey asked her, pointing at his body. Taani giggled.

"Well, then i might like to have you instead of food." Taani joked, Rey chuckled softly.

"I'm waiting in kitchen, come soon." Taani said before she walked out of the kitchen, leaving a happy Rey behind, who was happy to see her back to normal.

He walked toward her closet and took out a fresh pair of clothes for himself, since he spent his most of the nights here, he already his clothes in her house. He quickly got ready and walked outside, he moved toward the kitchen when he found her heating up the food in microwave, he went and hugged her from behind.

"Baby, you are in your 2 month?" Rey asked her, he smiled when she hummed in response.

"But how do you know?" Taani asked him, confusingly.

"I read your reports." Rey answered shortly. Taani again hummed in response.

"Rey, what if your family find out? Then what?" Taani asked him, feeling nervous & scared of their reaction.

"They are going to get biggest shock of their lives, but you don't worry, whatever their reaction might be, it will never affect me or my decision." Rey promised her, which eased her nervousness, his words gave her much needed assurance.

They had their dinner then went back in their room, they cuddle up with each other and slept. For taani, it was the best sleep. She was in peace, the father of her child had finally accepted her with his child.

Singhania Mansion.

"Don't worry, gautam, My son will marry sheetal only. Tomorrow I'll announce the news in media." Ranvijay promised his best friend over the phone call, they both were talking about Rey & Sheetal's marriage alliance.

"And what about your son's girlfriend, everyday there are so many lovey-dovey pictures of them on newspapers and social networking sites. It's really heartbreaking, Ranvijay." Gautam spoke, showing his disappointment through his words.

"Don't worry about her, gautam. My son can never deny me, he will do everything for me, my one command and he will leave that girl." Ranvijay assured him, Gautam was convinced by his words.

"Okay! I trust you." With that, gautam ended the call. Ranvijay sighed, tomorrow he will talk to his son and end the 'girlfriend' matter for once and all.
