Ch. 62 (Teaser)

Somewhere In The Universe.



Anita sat at her desk, her eyes flickering with thought, a thumb and finger running distractedly on the bracelet like a rosary.

After a while, her eyes quietened and suffused with a soft, tranquil glow

Placing the bracelet back on her desk, she picked her phone up.

His eyes were comically round as he took a good look at the person holding him. Registering her as a stranger, his face crumpled, lips wobbling for an excruciatingly long time before a disproportionately loud wail finally erupted from his little lungs. Khushi murmured soothingly, made rocking movements, rubbed his back, paced the room...all to no avail.

Panic was beginning to set in when Arnav walked up confidently, taking him from her arms, smiling a little at her expression.
