SECOND SHOT

Taani felt some weight on her waist. She thought it's just her imagination and went back to her sleep.

Her sleepy eyes fluttered when she felt something beating against her ear.

It was soft and continuous sound, sound like heartbeats. HEARTBEATS?

What? Taani's eyes opened wide. She felt herself being pulled by her waist.

She looked around herself, in search of the source of sound. She was shell shocked when she found herself being wrapped in Rey's arm.

She was sleeping on his chest keeping her ear above the place where his heart beats. Her one hand was sandwiched between their bodies and other circled across his waist where Rey's arms, were wrapped around her form in protective and possessive way.

She was shocked at the scene. How she ended up being in his arms. She recalled last night's event. She was sure she slept on her side waiting for him to return. He wasn't in room when she fell asleep. Then how this happened?

Flashback

"Shona, to shadi ke bad apne pati ko jameen pe sulayegi" Taani's mom said to her before she married.

"KYA?"

Both dida and Taani said in unison.

"Nahi to kya, ye nind me to pure bistar ke saath kushti karti hai. Itna bada bed ise kam padta hai soneke liye yeha, to Sasural me to pata nahi..."

"Mujhe to mere Damad ki chinta ho rahi hai MA" her ma said all seriously with worried exprssions.

Taani's mouth formed O shape at this, Dida and her Ma started laughing at her sleeping way.

Taani tried denying but that only increased their teasing and she left the place embarrassingly.

Flashback ends

"I guess Ma was right, I must have shifted to him" She mumbled to herself.

To him or On him? Her mind reasoned. She was embarrassed at herself. At the same time felt a strange urge to remain in the same position?

She thought, she should move away before Rey wakes up to avoid any awkwardness.

She slowly removed his arms from her waist and raised herself little above from his chest. She instantly felt absence of his warmth.

Shrugging that feeling she lifted her gaze to his face.

Adorable! That's what she felt. He was looking so cute yet handsome with his dishevelled hairs, sleeping like a baby with his mouth little open.

Mama's boy, she thought. She was observing his features with admiration unknown to herself.

She lifted her palm to his face softly touching his hairs. God they are so silky and soft. She wanted to weave her fingers through them from so long.

Slowly she brought her fingers to his forehead caressing it with them. She hated to see worry lines on them. She likes to see him stress free. She admitted to herself.

She then resumed the journey of her fingers; she put her palm against his cheek cupping his half of face by it.

His warm skin felt so good against her cold one. Taani felt an unknown excitement rushing through her whole form. One part of her wanted to pull back her hand and other was insisting to explore further.

Indeed she was attracted to him physically. After all he was man to desire. Perfect body, handsome face and that dazzling smile, who can resist that?

Every time when he was around, she used to feel butterflies in her stomach. His close proximity strangely never made her uncomfortable; instead it always left her carving for something which she was not familiar with.

Taani was immune to this physical intimacy section. She was confused with this. She was never this much close to any man in her life in this way.

She wanted to share this with someone. She wanted ask what's happening with her. But how can she share this with third person? It was their personal matter. She has no right of discussing her married life with anyone before talking to him.

Her shyness never allowed her to ask him about her feeling. She was struggling with herself for answer.

When today she got a chance to do things which her heart wanted. She gave in that moment. For once she shut her rational mind and fulfilled what her heart desired.

Slowly she dragged her fingers downward; she touched his lips with them. The moment her fingers came in contact with his lips, Taani felt shiver running through her body. It felt heavenly. Time stood still.

She just stared his face. An urge to replace her fingers by her own lips formed within her.

It was morning and Cold breeze coming from window hit her face that broke her trance.

She was shocked at herself. Quickly detangling herself from Rey she rushed to washroom. Taani closed washroom door hurridly and stood in front of mirror clutching washbasin's slab in her fists with closed eyes.

Her heart was beating so loudly that she can hear it in her ears. She felt her cheeks burning with heat. Her breathing was uneven.

She looked up at her reflection in mirror. Her face was all red.

"Ye kya kar rahi thi mai?" She was astonished with her behaviour.

"Ye mujhe kya ho gaya tha? Agar Rey ut jaata to wo mere bare me kya sochta?" "OH GOD!" She held, her head in her palms.

She decided to take a shower first to calm down her nerves and then she will think way to talk to Rey about this. She was thankful to God that Rey was sleeping else she didn't know how she would have faced him.

After a relaxing bath she entered in their bedroom to get ready. She was wearing simple yet beautiful red anarkali. Her hair were wet. She was looking ethereal.

She noticed Rey was not in room. Maybe in another washroom getting ready. She released the breadth she was holding unknown to herself.

She moved towards dressing to get ready.

She was drying her hairs with towel, when she felt her heartbeat rising. He's around that's what her heart told.

She quickly lifted her lashes in mirror.

There he was. Standing leaning against door of their room. All ready in black blazer with red tee and black jeans matching her attire.

Their eyes met and time stood still. Their eyes held so many emotions.

Taani remembered morning incident and quickly averted her gaze, started finishing her work fast.

Rey was mesmerized by her beauty. He was memorizing her every move. He started walking in trance towards her.

She was filling her partition with sindoor when he held her hand.

He noticed that she was nervous and not meeting his eyes.

she was about to question his move when he silenced her by keeping his finger on her lips.

He took sindoor from box and filled her partition with it.

Taani closed her eyes when his fingers brushed against her forehead in process. She felt feeling of completeness

when he filled sindoor in her partition.

Her eyes got moist.

He picked mangalsutra from table and holding her shoulders turned her so that her back was facing him and she was facing mirror.

He slide of her hairs from her back and kept them on her one shoulder. She shivered at his touch.

Taani closed her eyes tightly and fisted her palms on either sides.

Rey was watching her every expression. He tied mangalsutra across her neck.

When his fingers brushed across her nape in process she had Goosebumps on her skin.

She was stepping way from him when from behind Rey wrapped his hands around her waist and rested them on her belly not letting her go kept his chin on her shoulder.

"Rey ...Ye" her voice came breathless.

"Shhh...It's nothing wrong...It's okay...Biwi ho tum meri...Tumhara haq hai mere karib hone ka mujhe mehsoos karne ka" Rey said softly against her ear.

She looked surprised at him through mirror.

"I was awake in the morning." He replied.

"Wo mai... mai..." Taani shuttered not knowing what to say at being caught .

"Shh I said na its okay , no need to be nervous or uncomfortable" he said comfortingly when he noticed her nervous form.

"It's not wrong what you did or what you are feeling. It happens when you for the first time experience physical pull. It's because we are getting connected more in terms of emotional and physical level."

"Just feel it. Don't be afraid. I'm with you! It's normal. Give some time to yourself. And share what ever in your heart with me. I'm there for you always." He said with all the sincerity to her assuring her.

"I LOVE YOU TAANI!" He said placing a kiss on her cheek!

"I'm falling for you REY!" She said placing her palms on his which were resting on her belly.

Both stood like that relishing the feel of being together!

I Don't know what I wrote . I wanted to write something and started with that only...When I ended to this while writing I don't know ...Now I leave it upto u guys that how u find this...
