Acceptance (RN)- One shot

This is after Raj was saved from burning jeep accident. Naina and her friends put immense efforts in proving him innocent. He is back as an army officer. Over the time he gets to know about Naina's condition in his absence and somewhere he perceives a hope that she might be having feelings for him. But Naina's new found ignorance is his new concern.

Raj and Abhimanyu were having juice after their morning work out when Abhi breached the topic... "So...kab bata rahe ho Naina ko?"

Raj choked on his juice.. "What do you mean Chauhan saab?"

" Raj...!" , Abhimanyu said giving him a don't try to act over smart with me look'.

Raj sighed... " I love her a lot Chauhaan...but let her complete her graduation first...abhi toh I m her teacher.."

" Arree waaah !!"

Abhimanyu and Raj turned towards their source of interruption.

Cadet Huda was was glaring at Raj with accusation in his eyes and Cadet Aalekh was trying to control him.

" Waah Sir, aapne toh mujhe Phoolan ko paane mein madad karne ka promise kiya tha na?"

Raj became restless...he didnt know what to say...when he saw Huda laughing.

" Chill Sirjee...aap toh serious hogaye ! Phoolan sirf aapse pyaar karti hain. Aap agar nahi bhi aate na, to bhi woh kisi aur se kabhi pyaar nahi karti. Aur aap kya? Saakshat bhagwaan bhi mujhe ideas deta na,to bhi woh meri kabhi nahi hoti."

Raj hugged him, " Thanks, Huda."

Huda quickly separated.

" Thanks??? Sir, yeh thanks apne paas rakhiye! Abhi Phoolan ne aapko haa nahi kaha hai...toh iska matlab abhi bhi mera chance hain...aur main thehra jatt...kisaan ka bachcha! Koshish karne se peeche nahi hat ta. Kya pata kab kaunsa twist aajaye story mein...woh kehtein hai na, lehero se darr ke naiyya paar nahi hoti, koshish karne waalo ki haar nahi hoti..", he smirked.

" Cadet Huda, aap..."

" Oye theek hai sirjee.. Aap bhi koshish keejiye,main bhi karta hoon. Dekhte hai ki kaun kamyaab hota hai..."

" Theek hai. Dekhte hai." , Raj said sternly, he was pissed off at Huda's attempts to woo his Naina.

Soon they heard Shalini and Nandini calling from living room and they went outside, but Aalekh pulled Huda by his collar.

" Kyun be saale, tu toh sameera se pyaar karta hai na?"

" Haan...toh?"

" Abey besharam, toh yeh sab kya tha?"

" Qaidi, tu jitna intelligent banta hai na, utna hai nahi."

Aalekh looked with menacing gaze.

" Abey Capatin ke bharose baithte na, toh woh phoolan ko apne Birthday cake pe 100 candle lagne ke baad bhi propose kar paata ki nahi, uski guarantee hai koi?"

Aalekh kept quiet.

" Ab tu dekhte jaa, Huda ka kamaal! Kaise Captain Phoolan ko patata hai jaldi..."

" Saala, tu nahi sudhrega! Bhainso ka raja!"

They both hugged each other laughing, and went outside.

~~ Knock Knock ~~

" Come in!"

Naina entered.

" Sir aapne mujhe bulaya?"

" Yes, Cadet Singh. Please have a seat."

" No...I'm fine Sir. Actually mujhe class keliye jaana hai..."

" Cadet Singh,PLease have a seat." , Raj said in no nonsense tone.

Naina sat down.

" Naina, tum kya chupa rahi ho mujhse?", Raj said with his back towards her.

" Nahin toh Sir, kuch bhi toh nahin...", she said looking quite disturbed.

He turned to look at her.

" Naina,tumse jhooth bola nahi jaata. So, stop all that and tell me what actually the matter is."

" Maine kaha na sir, koi baat nahi hai...", she said becoming desperate, " I have to go now...I have a class..."

Meanwhile she got up and was half way through the door.

Raj had had enough, he was furious...his jaw tightened and he grabbed Naina and pushed her to the wall, pinning her hands on the wall by gripping them tight by her side and going closer, he asked,

" What's the matter Naina? What are you hiding ?"

They were very close. Their closeness was making her lose her senses. His breaths were falling on her face. Her mind, judgement were getting clouded.

She blinked and looked away to compose herself.

" Naina, kya tumhe threats aa rahi hai? Answer me ! Main kuch puch raha hu tumse."

" Sir, aisa...aisa...kuch..kuch bhi nahin hai...why don't you believe me?"

" Believe you? BELIEVE YOU???", he left her abrubtly and raised his voice , '' Belieye you ?dammit! kis se jhoot bol rahi ho? Maine khud dekha hai tumhe phone pe baat karte huye...!"

" Agar aap yakeen nahi karna chahtein toh woh aapki problem hain." , she too raised her voice.

" Why don't you understand, dammit !! ", he shouted and in fury pushed away the crockery on the table top and hurt his hand in turn.

His hand was bleeding badly and he was seething in pain. Par usse kuch hosh nahi tha.

Naina was horrified at seeing him bleeding.

She rushed forward and grabbed his hand.

" Sir...Sir aapko toh chot lagi hai! See, it's...it's bleeding...", she said in fright.

Raj jerked out his hand.

" Woh sab chodo and ans..."

But uska Raj ki baato par koi dhyaan nahi tha.

" Oh God ! Sir, bahot khoon beh raha hai...main...main dressing...", she said, again taking his hand in hers.

" Listen Naina, uski koi jaroorat nahi hai..."

" Sir, aap samajh kyun nahi rahe...kitni chot aai hai aapko." , she pleaded.

Raj saw her eyes brimmed with tears... He wanted to calm her down and console her, as usual...but he controlled himself. He need to get to what she was hiding and for that he has to be firm.

By then Naina, had started cleaning his wound.

He removed his hand from her grasp.

She looked at him questioningly.

" Kyun takliff ho rahi hai tumhe itni?", Raj asked looking into her eyes.

She averted her eyes and again started treating his wound without answering him.

" Batao Naina, kyun takliff ho rahi tumhe itni?"

" Kyunki aap mere Mentor hai...aur...mujhe aapki fikr hai...I..I..think it's..it's my duty..", she said lamely.

" Mentor ! Duty ! right ! Right you are Cadet Singh..." , Raj chewed his words, " Thank you very much for your concern, now please leave !"

But she didnt pay any heed to it and continued doing her work.

" Naina, leave my hand." , he said simply.

But it fell on deaf ears.

" I said LEAVE MY HAND, NAINA. ", he said jerking it out of her grasp again but she held it firmly.

" NO !!! I WON'T !! " , she too raised her voice , " Now just Shut up and let me do it !"

Raj gave up and watched her as she tended his wound. He wondered why she had such effect on him. He cursed himself for always letting her have her way with him.

After she was done and was about to get up, he caught her wrist.

" Jab tak tum mujhe nahi batati ki baat kya hai, tum iss room se bahar nahi jaa sakti." , he said sternly ," Am I clear, Cadet Singh?"

" Sir, maan kyun nahi lete ! Koi baat nahi hai!!"

He smirked.

" Baat toh hai Naina. Tum mujhse kuch kehna chahti ho...par keh nahi paa rahi ho. Par kya? aur kyun?"

" You know what Sir, actually you are right. Main aapse kuch kehna chahti hoon par samajh nahi paa rahi hoon ke kaise kahoon."

" Naina...just tell me.", he said finally calming down and getting back to his old self , " Hum uska koi na koi solution jaroor nikalenge, but just tell me what is troubling you?"

" Sir...", she said getting up and turning back to him, " Sir main nahi chahti ki ab aap mere bhaiya ke mission par kaam kare."

" WHAT??? ", he got up with a jerk.

" You heard it right, Ab main nahi chahti ki aap iss case mein involve ho. Mera bhaai toh nahi raha, now I don't want you to endanger your life and career for him." , she said in plain emotionless voice.

Raj turned her towards him.

" Pagal ho gayi ho tum? Tum jaanti bhi ho tum kya keh rahi ho? I don't care a damn about my life and career.I just.."

" But I do. Aur main nahi chahti ki aap mere bhaai ki wajehse apna career aur life barbaad kare."

" Tumhara bhaai ? Naina, woh mera bhi kuch lagta tha..woh.."

" Aapke best friend the...I know...par aap bahot kuch kar chuke unke liye. Aapne apne career ke peak years unhe innocent prove karne mein laga diye, unki behen ko..i mean...mujhe academy mein itna support kiya, apni jaan tak gavane waale the...I think you have done enough to repay your friendship."

" Are you out of your mind Naina? yeh kya bakwaas kar rahi ho tum? hum Naveen ki case ko solve karne ke kareeb pohoch rahe hai...aur tum chahti ho ki hum yeh case bichmein hi chod de? Kya tum nahi chahti ki tumhara bhaai innocent prove ho? Uspar laga daag..."

" Let me correct you Captain Shekhawat ", Naina said as he looked at her with shock, " Maine kaha ki, main nahi chahti ki AAP ab ismein involve raho. Maine yeh kab kaha ki main bhaiya innocent nahi prove karna chahti?"

" Kya matlab hai tumhara?"

Naina looked down as she didnt want Raj to see the pain in her eyes while she said all that.

" Main yeh kehna chahti hoon ki main bhaiya ko innocent toh prove karke hi rahungi. Aakhir... wahi meri zindagi ka maksad hai. But I don't want you to be involved in this anymore. pehle aap apne aap ko bhaiya ki maut ka zimmedar samajhte the...aur aapne unhe innocent saabit karne keliye apni jaan ki tak parvaah nahi ki, it's okay. But now, the things are clear. My brother was being slow poisoned and you dint kill him. You set him free. So why are you feeling responsible for his innocence? Mere bhaai ko innocent prove karne keliye main..."

But she couldnt continue further as Raj held her shoulders tight. She looked into his blood shot eyes...it pained her but she can't fall apart. She can't let him be in danger because of her. She looked away and he tightened his grip.

" TUMHARA BHAAI!!! Right Cadet Singh?" , Raj gritted his teeth ," Tumhara bhaai...isn't it?"

" Aaah..! It's hurting me...sir ", Naina winced but he hardly paid any attention to that and further tightened his grip.

" You know what Naina? I think you are right somewhere..."

She looked at him stunned.

" Pehle main Naveen ko innocent prove karna chahta tha, kyunki main apne dost ki shahadat ko insaaf dilana chahta tha. Uski bravery aur patriotism par lage daag ko mitana chahta tha...apne dost ko...yeah..apne DOST ko...par ab.."

He looked into her eyes...

" Ab main Naveen ko innocent prove karna chahta hoon, uski sabse badi wajah hai ki woh TUMHARA bhaai hai Naina..."

Naina was shocked. Her eyes welled up of tears and she looked down immediately as she didnt want to fall weak in front of him. She had made her decision and...but...

Raj pulled her closer.

" Haan Naina...kyunki woh Tumhara bhaai hai...Kyunki TUMHARI khushi Naveen se judi hai...Kyunki TUMHARI zindagi ka maksad uski begunahi hai..."

Naina was trying hard to control her tears.

" Jaanti ho kyun ?"

He pulled her more close as such there was no gap between them. She could feel his breaths on her face and he could listen to her quickened heart beats.

Naina understood that the moment which she was avoiding has come...but she cannot let that happen...she has to stop him before...

" jaanti ho kyun, Naina?" , his voice husky ," Kyun ki main tumse..."

" DON'T !!! ", Naina said in firm voice with her head downcast.

She knew, he would caught her lie as he looked into her eyes.

" Naina..."

" I said,Don't say anything. Main kuch sun na nahi chahti. aap meri problem janna chahte the, maine batadi...and I think it's over now and I should leave."

She said moving away, but he didnt free her.

" NO !! It's NOT over." , He said with certain determination ," Ab bahot hogaya Naina. Tum bhalehi kuch sun na nahi chahti, par mujhe kehna hai. Aur tumhe Sun na hi hoga! "

" Please..." , Naina whispered.

She looked up briefly meeting his eyes and he saw the deep regret in them before she looked away. She was preparing to give him up, he realized, and the thought terrified him.

" Naina..." , he whispered.

She shook her head softly, slipped out of his grasp and she was gone.

Raj hit his fist on the wall... No..she just leave like this... she will have to listen...

Aalekh and Abhi were coming to his room,when saw Naina ran out of his room crying.

Aalekh ran after Naina while Abhimanyu entered Raj's room.

He searched entire academy and then at last found her sitting beneath that old tree...crying silently, staring at the sky.

A wave of fury ran through Aalekh.

" Kya samajhti kya hai tu khud ko ? Kaiko aisa karreli hai?" , Aalekh asked in raised voice.

Naina quickly wiped her tears and said calmly,

" Tu kehna kya chahta hai?"

"Ae nautanki, jyada shani mat bann. Yeh tu bhi achchi tarah jaanti hai ki apun kya kehna chahta hai."

" Aalekh, tu kya kehna chahta hai,meri kuch samajh mein nahi aaraha." , she said avoiding his piercing gaze.

He sat beside her and laughed sarcastically.

" Apun ko yeda samjha hai kya? Par locha yeh hai ki tu kuch samajhti hi nahi...na uss insaan ke pyaar ko aur nahi uske dard ko! Naina, jee toh karta hai ki kheench ke do thappad maaru tujhe...parr...apun jaanta hai, thappad tujhe padega aur dard Rajveer Sir ko hoga." , he said looking at her steadily.

Tears brimmed up her eyes and she tried to blink them away.

" Koi faaida nahi hai Naina. Kamse kam teri aankhen , jo teri tarah jhooth nahi bolti, unko toh sach bolne se mat rok."

" Aalekh, tu kya..."

" Tu Rajveer Sir se pyaar karti hai." , it was not a question, but a statement...as if he was stating a fact.

" Tu apni bakwaas bandh kar.Main unki respect karti hoon. Woh bhaiya ke best friend hai...mere Mentor hai..."

" Aur phir bhi tu unse pyaar karti hai...aur yahi sach hai..."

" Nahi hai yeh sach..."

He laughed again.

" Jaisa ki apun kuch nahi jaanta. Toh woh kya tha Naina? Jab sir ka accident hua tha aur apun sabko laga ki apun ne sir ko kho diya...tab tera woh shock mein jaana? woh Abhimanyu sir ko Rajveer Sir ki help naa karne ki wajese tera unse nafrat karna? detention centre mein tu pankhe se latak kar jaan dene waali thi na...aur tab , jab tune phir se suicide karne ki koshish ki... apun ne dekha hai Naina...tera dard apun ne dekha hai..."

Naina was crying silently, her head downcast.

" Dekha hai apun ne tujhe Sir keliye rote huye...unke liye pal pal marte huye...aur aaj apun ne sir ka bhi dard dekha...tu kaayko aisa kar rahi hai? Tu maan kyun nahi leti ki tu Sir se pyaar karti hai..."

" Haan ! " , Naina screamed, " Haan karti hoon main unse pyaar. Bahot pyaar karti hoon unse. Aur issiliye yeh sab kar rahi hoon, samjha tu?"

" Kya matlab?" , Aalekh was shocked.

She leaned on his shoulder.

" I don't deserve him Aalekh, I don't deserve him. Woh bahot achche hai...aur main...main unke layak nahi. Siwaye dard ke unhe aur kuch nahi desakti main. Aaj unhe thoda dard hoga, par...par...woh zindagi bhar khush toh honge...safe toh honge...he deserves someone better...jo unhe khushi desake...main nahi..main..."

" Yeh tu kya bol rahi hai Naina? Tujhse jyaada pyaar unhe koi nahi kar sakta..."

" Aur shayad mujhse jyaada dard bhi koi nahi de sakta..." , she said sadly.

" Naina..."

" Bol ne de Aalekh. Tu sun na chahta hai na ki main kyun aisa kar rahi hoon? Toh sun...main bhi thakk gayi hoon sabkuch apne andar chupate chupate. Aaj tak woh meri har museebat ko apne upar jhelte rahe aur maine kya kiya Aalekh?"

" Tu kyun aisa bol rahi hai? Apun ne dekha hai, tune hamesha apni jaan ki parvaah kiye bagair unki jaan bachayi hai. Tu coma mein tak chali gayi thi Naina..."

" Haan...shayad...par har baar koi na koi wajah rahi hai meri. He is such a selfless person and me...I hate myself.."

"Nai..."

" Uswaqt toh Sir mujhe bachane aaye the un terrorists se, toh agar maine sir ko bachaya, toh ismein kaunsi badi baat?"

" Aur usdin Naina? Jab tu academy se bhaag kar jungle mein gayi thi...Huda ke laakh rokne par bhi tu untak pohochi...yaha aakar Nair ki saari punishment jheli...aur..."

" Kise dilasa de raha hai Aalekh? Us din sir ko bachane ka sirf wahi ek reason nahi tha...ek aur reason tha...Bhaiya ka letter,jismein likha tha ki agar unhe kuch bhi hojaye toh hum Captain Rajveer ko contact kare..."

Naina laughed sarcastically.

" Unhone mere liye itna kuch kiya...aur maine? Bharghav mujhe academy se bahar nikalna chahta tha, unhone mujhe bachaya aur badle mein unhe kya mila? Solitary confinement??badnaami? his career, his reputation...everything was compromised... Agar Sir mujhe support nahi karte, toh Bharghav iss hadd tak kabhi nahi jaata. He suffered all that because of me... Tu jaanta hai Huda ne ussdin woh sab kyun kaha? Kyun ki Bharghav ne photos waali baat ko use karke Sir ko trap kiya tha...Sir wahi photos lene mere room mein aaye the aur..."

Aalekh held her hand...

" Agar baat meri dignity ki naa hoti toh woh kabhi Dr. Ritu se compromise karne par majboor na hote aur Dr.Ritu unhe kabhi...jaanta hai Aalekh, maine pehle bhi yeh kaha tha ki I love him..."

Aalekh looked at her shocked.

" Huh...par woh bhi mere selfish motive keliye. Kyunki main nahi chahti thi ki Ritu unse engaged ho...because I didn't want to lose my only support after my brother...issmein unki bhalayi kaha dekhi maine? bata mujhe?"

" Naina, tu sir ko usse bacha hi toh rahi thi na?"

" Haan shayad...unhone mere bhaai ko mukti di...woh khud uss guilt mein hamesha tadpenge yeh jaante huye bhi...sirf mere bhaai ko aur torture se bachane keliye unhone...aur maine kya kiya Aalekh?"

and she began weeping bitterly. Aalekh hold her tight.

" I just hate myself Aalekh...I just want to kill myself. How could I do such thing? Jis insaan ne hamesha mujhe support kiya, maine usse hi...I...I shot him...I shot him Aalekh...I..."

" Shsh...Naina,chup ho ja...tu uss waqt.."

" Please don't give any excuse for my guilt.It's not going to help me. Shayad main aur bhi uss bojh tale dab jaau. Jab woh hospital mein the...unki waisi..."

Naina bit her lip as she remembered his condition.

" Waisi critical condition mein maine unhe kya kuch nahi sunaya...yeh tak keh diya ki I'll make him beg for death,just like my brother did...aur woh...woh chup chap sunte rahe...balki yeh kaha ki woh sirf mere bhaai ko innocent prove karne keliye zinda hai aur uske baad woh khud mere paas aakar mujhse kahenge ki..."

she hid her face in her palms to stay away from those words. She looked up as Aalekh's hand rest on her shoulder.

" Sirf mera Vishwaas hi toh chahte the woh Aalekh...lekin kya maine unpe trust kiya? NAHI..."

She looked straight ahead recalling those days..

" Unhone ilzaam Dr.Ritu par daalkar phir mujhe bachaya..aur main...main apni nafrat mein istarah andhi hogayi thi ki...kya kya baatein sunayi maine unhe...ek mauka nahi choda unhe neecha dikhane ka...Aaj sharam aati hai apne aap par yeh sochkar ki main apni nafrat mein itna neeche gir sakti thi...jab unhone meri madad karne keliye Abhimanyu sir ko sach batane ki condition rakhi, toh maine woh bhi kardiya...sirf..sirf apna maksad hi toh poora karna chahti thi main...sir sahi kehte the...bass apne bhaai ko begunaah saabit karne keliye kisi bhi hadd tak jaanewaali behen bankar reh gayi thi main."

" Nahi Naina...tu..."

" Uss din main Ali, Huda aur Pooja ke saath unhe bachane gayi kyunki main unse Sorry kehna chahti thi...ek baar maafi maangna chahti thi apne gunaah ki...Itne par bhi unhone mujhse kya maanga Aalekh? ek promise...ki main bhaiya ki case se dhyaan hatakar apne training par dhyaan du...huh...Aur phir Abhimanyu sir aur unke friendship mein darar...kahi na kahi appraisals mein jo kuch hua woh bhi responsible hain unke beech problems create karne keliye...huh...Sir toh appraisal mein hissa nahi lena chahte the, lekin fir meri zidd ! She clenched her fist to curb the surge of hatred for herself...which was increasing with every passing second...

" Bhaiya ko begunah saabit karne ka aur Red box ko paane ka mera junoon itna badh gaya tha ke...warna sir iss tarah ka risk kabhi nahi uthate aur unhe Lala kabhi trap nahi kar paata. "

"Naina, par tune unhe bachane ki har mumkin koshish ki na? Woh open trial...sirf terehi toh wajehse hua...sir ki haatho mein hathkadi tak nahi dekh saki tu..."

" Haan...aur uss trial me unki haar bhi toh mere hi karan hui...Tu achchi tarah jaanta hai,ki Sir ussmein bach jaate agar...agar Captain Salve ne... Unka career...unke credentials...jo unhone apne balbute par haasil kiya tha, woh meri wajehse..."

Aalekh's eyes too were brimmed of tears...

" Aur tu kya keh raha tha? Woh suicide...woh ...kya woh unkeliye tha? Nahi...woh toh sirf issliye kyunki...kyunki main unke bina jee nahi sakti thi. Unke paas jaane ka aur uss dard se chutkaara paaneka bass wahi ek raasta dikha mujhe..."

" Naina...tu isse teri khudgarzi keh rahi hai? Yedi hai kya? tune kaise din kaate hai apun jaanta hai...tera woh vishwaas ki Sir zinda hai,sab ne tereko kitni baar bola,par tu nahi maani. Hamesha yehich maanti rahi ki Sir zinda hai..."

" Woh issliye kyunki...kyunki main unhe bass ek baar kehna chahti thi ki..ki I love him...I love him a lot aur main unke beena nahi jee sakti."

She hugged Aalekh crying and he hugged back.

" Toh ab aisa kyun kar rahi hai Naina? Bol daal unko ki tu kitna pyaar karti hain unse...bol daal ki..."

" Nahi...kabhi nahi...tu samajhta kyun nahi Aalekh? Every pain, every sorrow, every trouble in his life originate from me !! woh jitna mujhse aur bhaiya ki case se door rahenge,utna hi safe rahenge...woh..woh threats..woh phone calls...Nahi.Ab main mere liye unki jaan khatre main nahi daal sakti." , she said seemingly scared , " Aur...main kaise khush reh sakti hoon...mere bhaiya...kisi bhi khushi par mera koi hak nahi Aalekh...mujhe khush rehne ka koi hak nahi hai..."

Aalekh looked at her...

" Aur waise bhi Aalekh... main unhe kya de sakti hoon? dard? bebasi? gham? meri zindagi main sirf tanhayi ho sakti hai Aalekh...pata nahi shayad main apne maksad mein nakaamyab ho jaau...phir bachta kya hai meri life mein? gumnaami? main majbur hoon Aalekh...woh mujhse door rehkar hi khush ho sakte hai..."

" Naina, tujhe bhi khush hone ka hak hai.Tu kyun aisa sochti hai. Naveen bhaai bhi tereko khush hi dekhna chahega."

" Toh main khush hoon na. Agar sir safe hai, khush hai, toh main bhi khush hoon.Mujhe aur kya chahiye. I hope, atleast tu mujhe samjhega. Aalekh, I'm...I'm cursed."

Aalekh hold her shoulders...her eyes-- fiery red..as if..as if restraining all the pain, all the grief, all the helplessness within them...

" Main jis kisi se bhi pyaar karti hoon, woh mujhse door hojata hai...bhaiya chale gaye. Sir ko ek baar kho chuki hoon...ab nahi kho sakti...woh hai, yahi mere liye kaafi hai...I'm cursed. He hugged her tightly, before she could complete. She looked so...sooo brave. Her pain has shattered the very firm,calm and composed Aalekh sharma,once more. His Naina...his brave naina. Why does it happen with her,always? Why can't god tolerate her happiness? Why does lightening strikes her again even before she recovers from one blow??

He always knew Naina was brave...but this was beyond anything he had expected...beyond anything he had ever witnessed...she was, in true terms, a soldier...

" Aisa mere saath hi kyun hota hai Aalekh...I love him..I love him a lot Aalekh...but...but he is better off me Aalekh, he is better off me."

" Naina, samajh nahi aata ki kya kahu.Par itna yaad rakh, tu jo bhi karegi, jis raaste jaayegi, tera yeh bhaai tere saath hai,hamesha. Agar tu chahegi,toh bhi apun tujhse door nahi jaayega."

She cried hugging him for a long time and then separated, composing herself.

Aalekh watched as she went, sitting there helplessly, when a hand rested on his shoulder.

He looked up to see Raj standing there with Abhimanyu...tears rolling on his cheeks.

He had heard everything.

" Follow me Aalekh.", he said and they went to Abhi's room.

Raj never thought, her love was so deep and mature. She loved him a lot more, may be more than he had ever imagined,ever estimated...

As they reached his room, Abhi shut the door and Aalekh walked upto Raj, who was standing facing outside window.

" Sir, boletoh apun sorry hai, par ab apun kuch bhi nahi kar sakta...Naina ke aage toh saala apunka bhi bheja ghum gaya. Agar apun kuch bhi karega ,toh woh aur dukhi hogi."

" Raj, Naina khudko aapke har takliff ka doshi maan rahi hai.."

" Par aisa nahi hai Chauhaan."

" Haan Raj...par aapko unhe yeh ehsaas dilana hoga."

Raj just nodded.

Naina was hurrying down the corridor towards dormitory when some put a handkerchief firmly covering her mouth and nose and pulled her behind the pillar... She resisted a lot but her gaze was becoming hazy and she was knocked out before she could realize.

As she opened her eyes, everything was blurred at first, but soon her vision got adjusted and she got biggest shock of her life !

" Sir !!", Naina explained, " Aapne mujhe behosh kiya? Kk..kya..kyun? I mean...hum iss waqt hai kaha?"

" Get back to your original form Cadet...! Ek soldier ko alert hone mein itni der nahi honi chahiye...!"

Naina observed her surroundings...

She was at Point 1857 !!!

The beauty of the place couldnt be described and the ambience,was simply amazing...

May be its the arrival of true soulmates...that had added to the bliss of this place...

The cool breeze blowing mildly, fluttering the flags...and carrying sweet fragrance...fragrance of their love and the moon light adding to the aura of the atmosphere.

Naina were definitely feeling the magic in the atmosphere...

She got up and walked ahead, unknowingly leaving him behind, lost in the beautiful scenery...again...just like the last time.

Raj was happy to see a tender smile forming on her face.

He stood there mesmerised as she smiled happy to be here...

Oh how much he loved her...

He smiled and walked up to her.

As he went upto her, unknowingly his hand brushed with hers...and it struck the chord, while colour rose in Naina's cheeks and she gave him a bashful smile.

Raj's heart leaped at that...

But Raj had something in mind today...

"Chalo... lets sit there", he said softly, pointing to the bench.

As he felt her not responding, Raj shook his head and holding her hand,

" Naina...chalo ! Mujhe kuch important baat karni hai."

She nodded but didn't move, and he couldn't hold him self longer ...

He held her shoulders and looked intensly into her eyes ..

She was shocked at first, but then looked back with the same intensity...

His hands traveled towards her waist, pulling her towards him.

she gasped ...

Their eyes were still locked, her lips were quivering ...

His eyes traveled to them.

She blushed, as she noticed his gaze.

He smirked, he realized what he's doing to her.

" Main tumse kuch kehna chahta hoon... i've been dying to say this for a long time . ", he told, moving his face closer to hers ...

" Kya?" she asked, her eyes closing, feeling his warm breath exhaling on her face.

He shook his head.

" Pehle aapne aankhein kholo..."

She shook her head, turning to deepest shade of red.

" Main yeh baat tumhari khoobsurat aankhon mein dekhte huye kehna chahta hu Naina. Aur unhi mein apna jawab bhi padhna chahta hoon. Kyunki tum toh mujhe sach bataogi nahi..."

she opened her eyes slowly.

He smiled...

" Naina...", he uttered her name dreamily,which sent shivers down her spine...

" Bahot sahi naam rakha hai tumhara...", he laid a soft kiss on her eyes.

"The first thing I think of, when I think of you, are your beautiful eyes."

She smiled shyly...

"...aur phir yaad aati hai yeh tumhari khubsurat muskurahat...I can go on and on, but the list would never end."

She blushed some more.

He tenderly touched her cheek...

She lowered her eyes.

He gently stroked her cheeks to make her look at him.

She slowly lifted her gaze and was lost in his brown, intense eyes.

" Naina, najaane kabse main yeh kehna chahta tha...par keh nahi paaya...nahi bata paya kabhi ki kitna chahta hu main tumhe.. Door hokar bhi kabhi tumse dur nahi hopaya...Maine har pal,har lamha tumhe hi chaha hai Naina...Meri zindagi ki har khushi, har aasha tumse judi hai...for me, you mean strength, passion ,determination and dignity."

She could see the intense love for her in his eyes...the honesty of his feelings...

But she was dying to hear those three magical words...

Naina was absorbed in him. His each and every word etched in her heart.

" Naina..." , and suddenly he kneeled down on the hard ground ... holding her hand...

" I kept my head up high,
and then you came my way.
I have been hurt so many times.
My heart filled with so much pain.
but now that pain has gone away.
For I have found a place I want to be.
This place I see is with thee.
For in your arms I have felt and seen,
a wonderful feeling that I cannot believe.

Her heart raced at these words...ecstasy engulfing her...slowly...

He looked up to see her looking at him with anticipation, tears forming in her beautiful eyes...

Time stood still...

The wind stopped gushing to give Privacy to the lovers...

Naina was looking in to his eyes holding her breath...Her ears waiting for those magical words...

Raj took a deep breath and...

" I...I LOVE YOU NAINA..."

Yes...he said it...

She closed her eyes...happiness and content reflecting on her face...

Gone was the previous fear and hesitation..

And the whole environment bloomed in the glory of their love...

" I love you Naina...deeply, madly...I love you so much!"

Tears of joy flowed from her eyes ...

She didn't know what to say. She was just looking at him with all the love, respect and affection she had.


"Just say you love me too... ", he asked smiling cutely.

She smiled through her tears...

She made him get up...

Raj was surprised at her action and also tensed.

What if didn't reciprocate his feelings???

He won't be able to tolerate...

" Nai...", but this time was stopped by her finger on his lips .

She took his hand in hers. Raj looked at her.

Naina was overwhelmed with so many emotions.

Words were still not coming out, but she looked into his eyes and spoke with utmost love,

"I can't tell U the many things I like about U,

I don't know if U have felt the way I feel for U,

U for me, a guiding force, a caring friend, sweet, simple & charming,

U for me, a beautiful soul, to be part of ur life is mesmerizing..."

Raj smiled.

He held her face and said, " But these are not the EXACT words, that i want to hear."

She blushed as deep as rose...

" I...I love you too" , she whispered.

He grinned, and holding her by the waist, pulled her closer to him and hugged her tightly, with so much force that she almost forgot to breathe.

Tears were rolling down both their eyes...Finally they have got the only thing they desired in life...each other's love.

Rajveer was assuring himself, that this was a reality and not dream.. that Naina really was there in his arms; while Naina melted in his arms.

There was nothing more they desired...they were overwhelmed with happiness.

" You don't know how much these three words mean to me ... and more than that how much you mean to me Naina...", he whispered in her ears, biting her ear lobe.

"I think... I do... ", she said and he tightened his grip on her.

She smiled shyly.

Releasing her from his arms he held her face tenderly...memorizing each and every detail of it...

His heart soared at her blush and at the effect he was having on her...

Pulling her closer he sealed her trembling lips with his...
