Chapter 60(Teaser)

The Giving Tree.

Arnav/ Khushi:

Morning light streaming in...

"You got your sindur on me...and at most..umm...interesting places".

Anita/Aman/??

Turned toward the window, Anita cried silently against the small, blue airline pillow, casting regular surreptious looks at her neighbor to make sure he was still asleep.

Luckily, her neighbor had exceedingly sharp reflexes, always managing to close his sleepy gray eyes before she turned.

Navin/ Sujata:

Navin hugged her close with his good arm letting her cry to her heart's content, letting her be the girl he'd married and brought seven seas away from her family. An old photograph of Khushi rested on the sofa beside her. Huge hazel eyes and two fingers firmly stuck in her little mouth.

Dear friends,

Thank you so much for your love, glad, humbled, blessed that you're still enjoying this story.

I will try to post it by Thurday :)

Lots of love,

Jenny :)

Arnav/ Khushi:

Hmmm, I wonder what those interesting places are, Arnav?? 😳 What might Khushi have been doing to get her sindoor in "interesting" places on you? 😉

Somehow, this picture reminded me of Arnav & Khushi enjoying their bubbly in the morning...

Anita/Aman/??

Ah! Gray eyes?? Firangi hai kya?? Although, many Maharashtrians have startling gray eyes...

Good, the guy has his eyes on her, & not ignoring her or her pitiful sobs. Anita, remember Khushi's words, something or should I say someone better awaits you sweetie. Forget the past & move on, the future is a lot brighter than you think. 😊 Hope those gray eyes mesmerize her into forgetting another pair of eyes pretty soon. 😉

Navin/ Sujata:

Navin hugged her close with his good arm letting her cry to her heart's content, letting her be the girl he'd married and brought seven seas away from her family.

-- Maybe, I am the only one, but I do really feel so sorry for Sujata right now... Being a mother myself, I do feel another mother's pain just like it is my own. Imagine your firstborn, getting married to a man you completely loathe, continents away from you, ignoring all your advice. It hurts, & it hurts real bad. The years of loving nurture & care you have brought up her with going by the wayside. A man she met just a year ago means so much much to her, that she married him without your consent. That is her condition right now. Could she have done something to change this?? Absolutely. But since she stuck to her guns, this is the pain she is now undergoing right now. I really hope someone changes her opinion of Arnav pretty darn soon. I so want to see Sujata have a complete change of heart regarding Arnav & see for herself what a gem of person her darling daughter married, and he is way better than any groom she could have found for Khushi herself... I adore Navin. As a husband, he understands her pain all too well & is lending a loving shoulder for her to weep on that she needs right now. Hats off to that guy, being a pillar of strength for his family, something that Arnav's gonna be soon too. 😊

An old photograph of Khushi rested on the sofa beside her. Huge hazel eyes and two fingers firmly stuck in her little mouth.

Am now eagerly waiting for Arnav to see this picture & get confirmed that he did really remember seeing a miniature Khushi & playing with her once. It wasn't just a figment of his imagination after all... Something tells me, he will be thrilled... 😃

Giving tree, very intriguing title Jen.

First coming to Anita, poor girl, I hope this flight journey brings the end to her sorrows and heartbreak.

I initially thought the guy next to her was Aman, then I realised he might be that mystery guy, whom Anita falls in love with, later on. Is he the prince charming for Anita??? 😳

Navin and Sujatha - will wait for the update.

Arnav/ Khushi:

Kerrie, since you post pics or gifs, I am really curious to know what picture or gif you would post for this teaser. 😉
Jenny, page 69 is not at all in sight to post this update. 😉

Oh..No... Jenny, I feel bad for Anitha, she has Aman as her neighbor passenger, but then, if she can survive this and gets over with, she can get over Aman sooner rather than later. SHe needs it as she has her whole life ahead and she cannot pine upon her heart break over someone who was too deep into her sister.
I was meaning to ask you, will there ever be any mention of Lavanya or her sister realizing the damage they had caused in Khushi's life ? These sort of things usually remain as collateral damage and very few people have guts to realize and accept they were wrong in judging and blaming another woman when there was no reason to, and even fewer who will have sense to apologize or talk to the right person about their mistakes. Neither Lavanya nor her sister seem to be of the type. I wonder if Sujatha will ever understand the hurt Khushi went through or will she be nursing her own bruised hurt morals and values ? I hope it will not come a little too late.

Ok, so I've been meaning to comment since the chapter Edelweiss, but something or another (mostly one or more of my boys) was stopping me. 😭 THIS is where I'm in total awe of you. You manage to pen such beautiful words about Arnav, Khushi and their love story WHILE raising 2 young kids. Yet I can't write 2 lines of appreciation about said fic even though all my kids are in school full time! **this is where I pull my ears and ask for your forgiveness**

Really, I don't know where to begin. Normally I'd have just started on the fic, BUT in this case the teasers, comments, speculations are just as enjoyable to read as the fic is. They kind of take a life of their own, don't they? 😊 Some come true, some don't, but I still love reading them because then you can always dream of an alternate path so to speak. Although there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the path that you've sent Arnav and Khushi on.

Which brings me to my brief (hopefully) thoughts. All I have to say at this point is: THANK YOU. 😳 Thank you for showing that everyone deserves second chances in life because ultimately that's what Arnav AND Khushi are getting. Second chance in love, marriage (in Arnav's case) and quite possibly with kids (for Arnav at least) By no means is that a hint of any kind. 😉 Moving on, your fic and you have shown me that that despite all the odds stacked against them, genuine love and happiness as well as the determination to fix things and ultimately God's mercy can win. And that gives me hope for my own marriage. 😊 ❤️ ❤️ to you for that!

Unfortunately I'm not done yet with my commenting. 😛 Once I get started it's kinda hard for me to stop. This is just a little (again- hopefully) side note on Anita's love story. While I totally understand that hers was not necessarily the focus, I'd hate for her to NOT have her happy ending like her big sister did. Like I said earlier, everyone deserves a second chance at love. Maybe it isn't Aman like Anita secretly hoped deep down in her heart it would be and maybe, JUST maybe it might be her flight's seat buddy- the new mystery character you've introduced in the teaser. But whoever it is, I hope that he loves Anita the way she deserves to be loved: without any hesitation or hindrance and definitely without any added baggage (like Aman). Would you believe that is this is the first time I haven't like the character of Aman? 😊

With all that FINALLY said, I'm looking forward to the end, actually I'm not, but we readers can't realistically expect you to write this fic forever can we? I am however eager to read how the rest of Arnav and Khushi's love story goes. Seriously cannot wait for the next chapter!
