The sound of something dropping from a height reached Arnav and Khushi's ears. Expectations of Anjali, Arnav's sister, came down crashing from a great height as she overheard the complete conversation which eventuated between them which resulted in her dropping her books from her trembling hands.

" Anjali..."

Arnav gasped while Anjali's expressions revealed that she had overheard the complete conversation and she has been traumatized by that. While Arnav was devising a tactic to convince his dear sister, Khushi was wondering what relationship the girl standing shocked in front of her, shared with her husband of a few hours.

Maybe she was also his love, thought Khushi though she knew that Arnav had a sister but never came across her name as Arnav had always maintained the privacy of his sister and ensured the secrecy of her life.

Glancing at Khushi from toe to head, Anjali's sight paused at Khushi's red partition which Anjali could make out, was not vermilion but blood.

" How could you just do this Bhai? You realize you ruined a girl's life by marrying her forcibly right? DO you even know how inhumane it is? What if someone did the same with me Bhai?" Anjali's last question had sent waves of anger across Arnav's body. Even the thought of someone forcibly marrying his baby sister was disturbing for him.

" ANJALI..." Anjali signed him to stop speaking while Khushi stood as a mere spectator to the whole drama which the brother-sister duo were producing.

" You cannot even bear listening to the possibility of that happening and you didn't think before doing that to another girl, who might as well be someone's sister? I am sorry to say this Bhai, but you hurt me deeply probably more than you hurt Khushi. And being a girl and a psychologist, I cannot let you do this Bhai. Choose, if you want me or Khushi. Because if you don't free Khushi from this forced relationship, I will leave this house and you forever."

Anjali's threat shook Arnav's world as she snatched the earth underneath his feet.Arnav's mind started working at a pace faster than it ever did, as his heart didn't want to lose either of the ladies sharing the ground he was standing on. Be it forceful or with their will, Arnav wanted them in front of him always.

" Anjali, you are understanding it in a completely wrong sense. I didn't marry Khushi forcibly. She just wanted this marriage to take place after sometime but I didn't want to waste even a single moment without her so I married her, which made her angry on me. Since she has always dreamed of a big fat Indian wedding with her Jiji and Jijaji, she is a bit upset that we got married in a hurry." Arnav came up with a random story as he set his Harvard brain on work, but Anjali didn't seem very convinced as Arnav's tone and his eyes spoke something contradictory.

" So much in a hurry that you didn't find time to get vermilion or Mangal Sutra and decided to use your own blood to fill the partition, Bhai?" Anjali's observations were always to the point and accurate, and Arnav was angry for her gift at the moment, as it made convincing her even more difficult.

" And why are you the only one speaking Bhai? Let Khushi speak and let her keep her point of view too. Also if she is seriously upset with such a trivial thing then we can sort it out always, isn't it?" Khushi's head shot up from the ground as Anjali's words reverberated in her ears, while Arnav shot a threatening glare towards her, and she knew that it meant that he would harm her family if she didn't agree.

" Bilkul, tell Anjali why you are so upset with me, Khushi." Arnav spoke with gritted teeth in a low tone as Khushi was close to him but with soft expressions so that Anjali thinks that he was speaking with love.

" Yeah Anjali, I am upset with him because he broke my dream of wedding. Now since it is already broken, we cannot do anything to repair it.." Khushi whispered off the last part in a low tone so that only Arnav hears it, ".. as it has broken beyond repair."

As Khushi has spoken her heart out, sincerity flooded in her eyes, effectively convincing Anjali about Arnav's cover on the truth. A irritated look appeared on Anjali's face as she spoke,

" Oh Ho, Bhabhi, I hope you don't mind me calling that as you both are already married and Bhai is so much in love with you, you got upset with him for such a small thing? You wanted a typical big fat Indian wedding right? You would get it, without fail and that is your Nanad's first promise to you, haina Bhai?"

" Is this even something to ask Anjali? It is not possible that your Bhabhi asks me something and I would not fulfill it. Even I had thought to get married in the way she prefers but later decided against it, as the rituals take unusually long time and moreover you have to find that thing. What is that called? Haan, Mahurat. So we ended up getting married like this."

How easily he was able to lie about his unfathomable love for her? Khushi felt tormented even by the mere thought of getting united with him as they completed each and every ritual in the presence of fire. The rituals she had respected so much, were now the reason her hear was getting squeezed by pain.

The relationship of marriage which she termed as the most sacred of all, was now appearing as nothing but a thread of pain cutting her heart into pieces.

Khushi went unaware when her eyes filled with the remnants of broken pieces of her dreams, as her eyes turned red with pain, as red as the blood adorning her partition.

" So it is decided, you will get married with all the rituals and for that Khushi Bhabhi should go back to her maternal home as Shaadi Se Pehle Dulhe Aur Dulhan Ko Nahi Milna Chahiye." Anjali cast a teasing look at Arnav and Khushi, while Arnav was looking at Khushi with concern as he could see that her head was bowed down, probably in an attempt to hide her tears.

" Kya Hua? Scared that you will not be able to control yourself Bhai or are you trying to fill your heart with Bhabhi's image so that you wouldn't have to miss her when she stays away from you in these days?" Anjali was surprised to see Arnav's softened gaze, which was only for her till date. She was convinced that her brother was truly in love with her Bhabhi.

But will her Bhabhi be able to see her Bhai's love?
