Khushi reached home safely. But she was damn late.

Nani saw her walking slowly inside. She could make out from her face that she wasn't well.

Nani: Bitiya aap theek hai na? (Bitiya are you fine?)

Khushi was lost in her own world. She was still in a confusion that Arnav was the one who saved her. But she wasn't sure. She didn't hear Nani.

Nani went to Khushi. Nani touched her shoulders. She realised that Nani had asked her something.

Khushi: Ji naniji.

Nani touched her forehead. It was still warm. Nani was quite concerned. She came to know that Khushi has caught fever.

Nani: Aapko toh bahut tezz bhukar hai. (You have high fever)

Khushi: Naniji hum theek hai. (Naniji I am fine)

Nani: Nahi bitiya, chaliye aap, let jayiye. (No bitiya, you go and lie down)

Khushi had no option but to rest. Nani told Hp to get some soup for Khushi and to make a mild dish for dinner. Nani was nursing Khushi.

Arnav was getting sleep thinking of Khushi.

Is she fine? Did she take proper rest?

He could not stop thinking about her. He was getting restless to know about her health. He called his Di.

It was ten thirty in the night,

Anjali: Hello chotte. Kyun phone kiya? (Why did u call?)

She was damn sleepy.

Arnav: Aap kaisi hai? (How are you?)

Anjali(rubbing her eyes): Tumne itni raat gaye hamare halchaal poochne ke liye phone kiya?

That was the worst reply which he got from his Di. She was right, he had called to ask about health, but not hers, Khushi's. Arnav's tongue tied.

Arnav: Sab theek hai? (Everyone is fine?)

Anjali looked at the mobile screen whether it was her brother's phone. Anjali felt stupified. He wanted to ask this?

Anjali(frustrated): Tum theek ho?(Are you fine?)

Arnav knew that she was angry, escpecially when he was not saying anything other than, asking everyone's health.

Anjali: Chotte agar tumhe kuch nahi poochna hai toh hum phone rakhte hai. Good night.

Arnav: Di..hello..di...

She had kept the phone. He called her again.

Anjali: Kya hai chotte? Nani se leke Laxmiji tak sab theek hai. Ab khush? Wait..Khushiji ko thoda bhukar hai. Ab hum samje ki tum theek kyun nahi ho!! (What is it chotte?From Nani to Laxmiji, everyone is fine. Now happy? Wait Khushiji had a bit of fever. Now I understand why you are not fine!!)

She got a nice chance to tease him.

Anjali: Nani is sleeping beside her, she is almost fine now. Don't worry we wont let anything happen to her. Happy? Now keep the phone, good night.

Arnav: Good night di.

Assurance was what he wanted. Now he could sleep well.

Flash Back:

Her heart was beating fast sensing him close to her. He cupped her face. They were looking into each other's eyes. He brought his face close to hers. Their lips were just few mm apart. Then, Khushi's phone rang.

Damn it!! Everyone was their enemy whenever they were close to one another.

Arnav was highly frustrated when they were interrupted by a third person. Khushi could sense danger. She knew he was very angry.

Khushi went to pick up the phone. "Rakhy" she murmured. Hearing his name, Arnav's blood boiled in anger. Damn this guy.

Khushi stopped breathing when she heard what he told. Her eyes became moist. Her heart sank into sadness. She was filled with emotions. The phone fell down.

Arnav was confused.

Arnav: Khushi kya hua? (Khushi what happened?)

Khushi didn't utter a word.

Arnav picked the phone which was on the floor. He wanted to know what he said that she almost started crying.

Arnav: Yeah Rakesh.

Rakesh: Shashi uncle got a heart attack.

Arnav: What???

Rakesh: Abhi woh hospital mein hai, aap dono jaldi aana. Payal di ko bhi bataiyiye. (Now he is in hospital you both come soon. Inform this to Payal di also.)

Arnav: Haan.

At first he had to console Khushi. He kept his hand on her shoulder. She threw her arms on him. She was very sad. She cried a lot. He rubbed her back whispering, "Everything will be alright".

Khushi: Take me to the hospital.

Arnav obeyed her.

In the hospital,

Garima and Buaji were restless. Rakesh was consoling them. Khushi, Arnav, Akash and Payal entered the hospital. Garima was relieved looking at her daughters.

Khushi: Amma bauji kaise hai? (amma, how is bauji?)

Garima: Pata nahi, abhi tak doctor ne kuch bataya nahi. ( I don't know, the doctor has not informed them)

Buaji: Bhala ho Rakesh ka, agar yeh sahi waqt pe nahi aata toh..

Buaji started crying.

Arnav: Yeh sab hua kaise? (How did it happen?)

Rakesh had been to Garima's home. The door was open. Buaji and Garima were inside the kitchen. Here Shashi was holding his chest and struggling to breathe. When Rakesh entered the house he saw Shashi's condition and admitted him to hospital.

Doctor came out of the ward.

Doctor: He is out of danger. If you were even a minute late, then you could have lost him. Right now he is unconcious, meet him later.

This statement scared everyone. Everyone was relieved.

Khushi: Thankyou Rakhy. You saved my dad's life.

Garima: Haan beta, Khushi theek keh rahi hai.

Arnav: I will pay the fees.

Rakesh: I have paid it already.

Arnav was a bit angry. Why did he pay the bill?

Nurse: Patient ko hosh aa gaya.

Next day evening,

Arnav had returned home in the morning itself. Khushi was alright now. Her fever had subsided. There were arrangements going on in home. It was Payash's first wedding anniversary, the first time when Arnav had married Khushi. Many of them were invited for the party including Rakesh and Lavanya.

In the party,

Khushi was looking stunning. Rakesh wanted to talk to her, whereas Arnav stuck to Lavanya. For everyone it was casual, but for Khushi it was heartbreaking.

Rakesh: Tintin why arent you speaking to me?

Khushi: Nothing much Rakhy.

Rakesh: Sab theek hai na? (Is everything ok?)

Khushi(angrily): Sab theek hai, aur ab hamari zindagi me dakal dena band karo (Everything is fine, and now plz stop interfering in my life)

Khushi was about to go but he caught her hand.

Khushi: Leave my hand.

Rakesh did not obey her.

Arnav: Lagta hai tumhe koi bhi baat ek baar mein samaj nahi aata. (I guess you don't understand anything at once)

Khushi looked at Arnav, feeling surprised. He was always there as a saviour.

Rakesh left her hand immediately. Arnav glared at him once and Khushi walked away from there.

Lavanya stopped a waiter who was carrying drinks for everyone. She took two glasses and mixed alcohol in it. "Sorry ASR but I have to do this" she smirked. She instructed the waiter to give these drinks to her desired persons.

Khushi was drinking her juice. Lavanya purposely bumped on her and Lavanya's drink fell on Khushi's saree. Khushi had to clean it now.

Lavanya: Sorry.

Khushi glared at her and went upstairs to clean her saree. Whereas Arnav went upstairs as he got a call by Aman. Even that was a plan by Lavanya.

Lavanya murmured a "yes" to herself.

Khushi cleaned her saree and then bumped to Arnav. The alcohol was affecting her and even him. Both were under the effect of alcohol. Lavanya locked the door from outside.

Khushi:Doo (Two) Arnnav!!jjiii

Arnav's head was spinning. But Arnav had some control over his head. Khushi couldn't balance herself.

Arnav:Sambhaaalke. (Carreful)

Khushi: Whhy do yooou caareee?

Arnav: Shhuut upp. Stop yourr caarre caaree!!!

Khushi:Aapnnee shuurrru kiiya( Uuu staarteed).

Arnav: Soo yooouuu stop.

Khushi was about to leave but then she slipped stumbling. Arnav caught her in his arms.

Arnav: Iii said na Caaarreeefulll.

He winked at her even in that drunk state. Arnav went to open the door but it was not opening.

Arnav: Kkkhuushii daadaarwaza...

He turned back, she was not there. He saw her near the pool.

Khushi(looking at stars): eekk, do, theenn..(one two three)

She was counting the stars.

Arnav: Aissse nahii. (Nott likke thiss) Onee twoo three...ttten

Khushi laughed looking at him.

Khushi: Evvenn uu cannt coount!!!

She was not able to balance herself. At any time she could fall inside the pool, so Arnav came to help her balance herself and in return he fell inside the pool.

"WHAAAT THHE"

Khushi helped him to come out of the pool. In that condition also she managed to give him another shirt and a track pant. It was almost twenty minutes and he still didn't come out of washroom.

Khushi banged the door.

Khushi: Eelll geee (meaning LG-laad governor), Lllaaad Ggovvernnor coome outt!!

Arnav opened the door and she burst out laughing looking at him.

Arnav: Whheree aree the butttonss??

He had actually worn the shirt wrongly. She made him wear the shirt properly. "Itnee baadee Laaad Governorr koo shiirt pehenna nahiii atta." She commented.

Arnav felt embarrassed.

Arnav: Shuut uupp!!

He would have never done like this if he was in his senses.

Downstairs,

Payal: Khushi kaha hai? (Where is Khushi?)

Lavanya looked at Payal searching for Khushi.

Lavanya: Uski tabiyat thodi theek nahi hai, woh upar gayi hai. (Her health is not good so she is upstairs)

Payal(worried): Hum dekte hai. (I will see her)

Lavanya(stopping her): Nahi nahi nahi ASR hai uske paas. (No no no ASR is with her)

Payal was somehow convinced. Lavanya sighed.

Arnav and Khushi were sitting on the bed.

Khushi: Wiill uuu miindd if I ask yoou someething?

Arnav: Goo on.

Khushi: Whhy ddo uu haatee me so much?

Her eyes were moist.

Arnav cupped her cheeks.

Arnav: Whhhoo saaid thaat?? Ii ccan neever hatte u.

Khushi: Thheen why do yoou wanntt divvorcee?

Arnav: Bccozz I loovee youu.

Khushi: Iff uu loove mee whyy doo youu wannt to staay awaay fromm me?

Arnav: Bcozz I love you aa lllooottt!!!

Khushi: Reaallyy??

Arnav: I ccannoot tollerratee if f annythiing haappens to uu..

He cupped her cheek. She jerked a bit when she felt his cold hands on her cheek. There was some intense feeling when both looked into each others eyes. He kissed her forehead. She kept her head on his chest wrapping her arms around his body.

Khushi: I waant too kiill tthhaaat chhudaaill Laavanya...II cannt toleratte herr..

He chuckled. Poor Lavanya!! He also hugged her, carressing her hair slowly.

Arnav: Annd I wannt to burnn Raakesh..I cannt tolerate him.

Khushi: Plzz donnt go away from mee.

He kissed her lips saying a no. Both were under the effect of alcohol. Or else could never spill out what was in his heart.

It was morning. The sun rays hit Arnav's face. He slowly opened his eyes and saw her face. Oh she looks so beautiful!!! He couldn't stop himself from kissing her forehead. Wait!! What am I doing here? I was supposed to be on the couch.

He found himself hugging Khushi. He was in his night dress and she was still in the party wear. His head was aching very badly. But why?

Oh shiit!! Lavanya!! She gave me the juice. This lady...

He was shocked would be an understatement. He could remember his conversation with Khushi. He wished she didn't remember anything or else his plan would be an utter flop.

He got up from the bed and was about to go when he felt her hand over his wrist.

Khushi: Arnavji

He shut his eyes. Now he had to answer her.
