" yes Mr. officer ! tell me .how can I help you" asked him whipping his hands in a towel.

" shall we wait for Dr. vijay Narayan?"

The doctor nodded and took his intercom

"Let me check. He may be busy in op"

The same time the knob of the door was clicked . Surya smelled a strong fragrance! He had been allergic to such strong kind of scents. His head ached mildly.

A young guy pushed the door inside and walked in.

He sat next to Surya with a formal handshake. No one could say that he is doctor if he not carried that white coat with him. Surya pinched his brows.

" are you okay officer" asked vijay

"ya! A mild head ache because of your perfume.how could doctors use such strong scents when they roam around sick people" At the very first sight Surya hated him. The reason may be the scent or something else.

A thought pinched him.. he was the man loved my dhamayanti purposely for his money.. according to that complaint.

And that made him to hate him more.

Vijay lifted his brows.."really! its gentle. I love this smell" he grinned.

He sighed. "ok.let's come to the point"

The grin evaded on his face when Dhamayanti name was uttered there. A pin drop silence remained there except the sound created my fan and a mild noise from the air conditioner. Vijay dropped his head. He expected his father to speak. Surya could sense a mild tension in those two couples of eyes.

"its an old complaint DCP sir! Why you are digging it again?"

Surya said in a stern voice.

"THAT GIRL IS DEAD"

Vijay dropped his eyes. He averted his look.

But Doctor was clever enough. He pretended this news to be very very new and shocking for him. He jerked back.

"whattt? Dead" how?"

"Suicide"

"reallyyy?"

"so you don't know about it"?

"how could I know?"

"but your son seems to be very normal."

Vijay looked him up in a fury.

"listen sir.I just threw her away from my life. She ..she just deserves such a horrible end. Bloody bi*"

Surya clenched his fist.

" calm down doctor! So why are you angry with her. Can you tell me about your relationship. Where you met her and all"

Vijay was flattered! He stammered twice.

"not a big story. I saw her here. She came here"

"as a patient?' asked surya

"Yes as a patient! " fastly interrupted DR. Keshav"

Surya shrunk his eyes.

"who treated her ? you or your son?"

"its me" said vijay.

"Ok. Then?"

"then I saw her twice in a shopping mall. First was accidental..second one was a planned meet. She was beautiful and captivating. I loved her. She too said that she loves me. But she was a cheat..swindler.. "

"how did you come to know that"

"she took advantage when we were alone! She was going on enquiring about my properties. I sought her help in getting a huge amount as a loan for your expansion. She came with the loan documents. Thank god fortunately I saw a registered document inserted inside the loan papers. That was a clean will. Blooy witch! she tried to grab all my properties from me. "

Surya watched his facial expressions keenly. No single word he spoke looking straight into his eyes.

"what's the necessary for his to cheat you. If she marries you then she would be the owner of all your properties."

Vijay shrugged.

"she is not the kind of woman who can be satisfied with one man" he spoke so casually.

"what was the PM report saying . was she pregnant? " asked DR. Keshav.

Surya stood up suddenly. The chair created an ugly noise reciprocating his mind.

"okay thank you for you co operation"

He walked two steps.

He turned suddenly.

"Aw.. one minute. What was her complaint when she came here for treatment?"

Again he stammered once.

"ulcer.. she had mild ulcer problems"

"oh! Could I see that reports.?"

"reports.."

"why not sure! Let me search that and inform you soon" said Dr. Keshav.

Surya expected that! He smiled and came out. The hospital looked like a five star hotel. Clean ..clean ..clean everywhere. A hospital which is very clean with sick patients is some what not matching. Felt he.

Inside the doctor's cabin.

"dad! Why did you say that she came here as a patient..now that police man is asking reports."

He was tensed.

fool! Creating new reports are easy. Will you say that she accompanied her friend. Do you want that police to dig all about that friend.? Now you get lost" retorted Dr. Keshav.

Vijay stormed out the cabin.

Surya steeped in his house and switched on the lights. He was startled to see Tejaswini sleeping on the dinning table. She laid her head on the table and she was fast asleep. He moved to her. He opened the vessels . The food was kept as it was.

Didn't she have her dinner? He remembered suddenly about vikram and how he left her in the half way. He left her alone with vikram purposely to give some space for her. He beheld the young girl sleeping peacefully. Some streaks of hairs fell on her cheeks and danced according tothe motion of the air. He stopped his raised hand which rose instantly to correct the hairs. He clenched his fist. He gathered all his strength to putdown the impulse to run his hands over her head.

But some how he has to wake her up. She must me hungry.

He slightly touched her shoulders and shook her gently

"Tejaswini"

She was startled. She woke up suddenly with palpitating heart beat.

"heyy! Relax.. its me" said he.

She sighed.

" had your supper?"

" no! waiting for you" said Tejaswini.

Surya looked her sharply.

"waiting for me? Why?"

She turned aside. She spoke softly.

"because I need a companion today. I don't want to eat alone." She said.

"why cant you eat with tanu" surya thought of asking this..but he swallowed the words not troubling her to lie again. or it may be true.

"ok! Shall we" he smiled.

Both were eating as if someone forced them to do a thing which was impossible.

"did you ask him" asked surya.

Tejaswini was expecting this question from him.

"Yes! I Turned him down.I could not control my anger. I thought he was my best friend. But he had this awkward thoughts in his mind. "

"listen you no need to say this to me. This is your personel"

"I know ! but who else I have " her voice became shaky. He was stunned for a while.

"should I have to say I am here" thought he.

"if he loved me then he has to be honest in proposing it. But he is a cheat. And moreover I am confused now.my mind is not clear to take right decision. I don't even know whether my reactions to him were right or wrong." She paused.

Well! He was also in the same state. He had no words for her.

" I miss my father now terribly. Wheever I am confused I used to run to him. And within a fraction of fraction he would pluck out my confusions. Father is a boon. Father is strength. I miss you dad" she dropped her head on the table and her body trembled. Now , nothing stopped surya from clutching her arms tightly.

She left but her words surrounded him. He looked at the room where his father sleep. He exhaled a deep sigh.

Early morning when surya was engaged in his excercises, he heard the knock of the door.

"who is that"

Tejaswini peeped in. she opened the door wide and entered with coffee mug. He staggered. He was shirtless and was wearing a shorts. He didn't expect her now.

He plucked a T shirt from the stand and wore it immediately. She too didn't expect him to see half naked. She lowered her eyes and turned back.

" sorry" she said.

its ok! What's that?Why are you doing all these jobs"

"no! I just wanted to apologise to you. I saw the lights in your room . so I " she placed the coffee mug on the side stand on the bed.

He took the mug .

"Apology? For what" he sipped the coffee.

"yesterday I was too emotional. I made you to feel uneasy. Sorry"

" haw! That's not a wrong. So no need for sorry."

"one second!" surya stopped her.

"Will you accompany me today to your sister's office? You might have known your sister's friends more. They could open their mouths freely infront of you I feel"

"okay sure. Have you not made any investigations yet in her office?"

"first set of interoggations were over by Ashish. This is my personal interoggation."

Why so personal? She thought of asking it. But she didn't. she felt good to learn her own meanings for that personal

Vidyut Gupta frowned.

"Manager sir! You have to cooperate with us. You don't have any other way. If you feel that we are disturbing in the prime hours then take leave come to the police station and answer our questions leisurely there." Said surya. Tejaswini suppressed a giggle.

"what sir.. what should I answer. What you are expecting from me"
