Mihika confused what 2 wear 4 date.but stuck to simple attire n abhishek liked it.he took her 2 a simple evening place where he thinks...n he thinks only of mihika.so sweet.he played music too.he is in a romantic mood.waiting 4 d official date.
if u can plz add a romantic dance,rain moments n all

I lovvveeeddd the update! AbhiKa date! Everything about that date was perfect! <3 And the part before, where Mihika's having a difficult time choose her outfit, that whole part was really cute. And Vandu is awesomesauce, I love her. 😆 I just imagined Mihika turning up for the date in a kanchivaram and Abhishek's reaction and I nearly died. 😆 And Madhavi also turned out to be an AbhiKa phanki! 😲 Now Vandu has someone to share her fangirl emotions with. 😆 And I just can't get enough of that AbhiKa date. AbhiKa eyelocks are just <3<3<3. So there's gonna be an official date too? Eeekks! Despite the fact that I can only visualize these scenes, your description is so vivid it's almost like I can see all of it happening, right behind my eyes. I honestly can't thank you enough for writing this FF.

Now that there's apparently gonna be an official AbhiKa date I'm all the more impatient for the next update. 😆 Update soon, please! Can't wait!

...I have moved with the times and got a better device so here is my comment. No gifs today because I want to be mysterious as a ninja. Unpredictable as the weather here. But I'll comment none the less. I mean how could I not? Excuse my terrible typing skills, I have become extremely bad in typing recently and my spell check is abysmal.

So what I really liked here was the realism in this piece, it's not too over the top and dramatic, both the characters are like they would be in real life and the date was a nice extension of their character. It wasn't too much. It was just right especially considering they are beginning afresh with a lot of baggage behind them and who knows what is still left to come. But You said it would be light so it's something to look forwards too as a story. If Mrs Iyer I think also backs them then it will be even better! It was Ms Iyer right?

So looking forwards to the next parts but take your time though 😊

Be happy with the realism because I can and I may get unrealistic very soon 😆 You know how stupid I can get! 😆

Chapter XXIV

Next day, in the evening, Mihika was sitting alone in the hall. She was thinking about her relationship with Abhishek. They had progressed really fast. She had never been in such a passionate affair ever. It seemed like they could hardly keep from talking to each other everyday. But she was worried about it. This was turning into obsession. They are becoming obsessed with each other and that would affect their lives a lot because they have to be sensible enough to behave in matured manner.

While Mihika sat thinking, Ishita entered the room. She saw a serious Mihika sitting alone and she immediately guess that her sister would be thinking about Abhishek. After all, all these days she extensively talking, thinking and dreaming about Abhishek. The fact was becoming obvious to her own self that Mihika had strong affection for the guy and it would be impossible and insensible to stop her.

Ishita went close to Mihika, she kept her hand on Mihika's and then with great affection, expressed herself, "Mihika, thinking about something? I know you are thinking about Abhishek. Mihika I don't really know how to apologize. I mean, I have been so stupid in the last few days. I should have understood your emotions and should have respected them. Forgive me, if you can."

Mihika was surprised, nevertheless she was happy. And without uttering a word, she first embraced Ishita. Ishita has been a great support to her. In every time of need, her sister had helped her come out and thus a strong bond with Ishita had gradually formed. Mihika, once she broke the hug, most affectionately replied, "Akka, You don't even know how happy that makes me. I am happy that you have finally understood my condition. I cannot help it. Falling for Abhishek was not something I had planned, it just happened. All by itself. I hardly felt when it happened!"

"It was the same with me and Raman. We never knew when we fell in love between all those fights. It was like, I was fighting with him the other day and we confessed our love to each other the next day. It was magical and our love has just increased since then."

"No. Akka, with me and Abhishek, its not like it. We never hated or to say never fought. We were like friends. Ready to be for each other, every time. And now, to are how that friendship has turned out to be is just so pleasing."

"It definitely is!"

"Also, I cannot believe that he actually has never been in any serious relationship. A guy like Abhishek, who looks great, is decent in personality and has a humble background, has never dated? Ironic. Isn't it?"

Ishita chuckled at Mihika innocent thoughts, "Mihika, its just you. I think Abhishek was meant to be with you. Anyways, I guess you'll be fasting this year on Karwachauth then?"

Mihika seemed shocked, amazed and happy all at the same time. She did not know how to reply but then she thought for a second and then replied, "No way! I am not fasting! Not at all Akka! I mean, I love Abhishek but that doesn't mean I'll stay hungry for him at whole day. Plus, that doesn't practically make sense!"

"Now Mihika do you really know why all these traditions, customs and beliefs are still followed, even if they don't make sense?"

"No I don't, Akka."

"Its because they bring two people closer. Every time you fast for Karwachauth, Abhishek will see your love and affection for him and that will make him believe that you really love him. It is like a celebration for your love!"

Mihika seemed impressed. But then, she had a lot of practical sense to accept this suggestion, "I agree. But is fasting the only way? I mean, love can be presented and expressed in a variety of manners and ways."

"But well Vandu Akka needs company!"

"Aren't you there?"

"I am. So oh well. I'll have to leave then because I have to help Sarika and Mammiji in preparing for tomorrow. And oh! Abhishek will be here tomorrow. Right?"

"I don't know. I mean he has is responsibilities as an ACP. And I am sure he won't every step back and leave those just like that. I think he will. I cannot confirm though. But how does his presence matter in Karwachauth being celebrated at your house akka?" Mihika seemed puzzled to answer clearly.

"Well, won't you feel like incomplete without him tomorrow night? I mean.."

"I won't! Its not like I am obsessed with him!"

"Oh Mihika you have no idea. You are so very obsessed with him!" And with these words Ishita quit the room laughing.

This made Mihika feel for a moment. "Obsessed with him? Really? Am I really obsessed with Abhishek? How can I be obsessed with him, we just started dating! But what if I really am? I don't want to seem like a desperate idiot in front of him! This is so frightening!"

And then, the next second she was interrupted by a phone call, which, of course was of Abhishek. She picked it up.

Chapter XXV

"In the cafe in twenty five minutes!" He told her as soon as she picked his call. Excitement. It was just uncontrollable excitement!

"Twenty five minutes! Abhishek! You really mean it? I mean 25 minutes are way too less! And on such a short notice! Is everything fine?" She was worried.

"What is it right now?"

"What is it? Hain?"

"The time, Mihika! What has happened to you?"

"Nothing! I was thinking about you.. I mean us... I mean something! Its seven! But really? I have to get ready and come and Delhi is not that small!"

"You can come the way you are right now! It doesn't matter to me. Its just that I wanna meet you!"

"One, I cannot come this way because well, there will be other people as well. And two, you cannot just order me to come. Three, Abhishek you know when people do like this?"

"When exactly?"

"When they are obsessed with each other!" She told him in a serious tone which meant to convey that they were now moving towards obsession.

"I am obsessed with you! You are my new-found obsession!" He told her sweetly over the phone.

Mihika was now worried. Obsession? Now that wasn't sounding good. She hated being obsessed with something and anyone being obsessed with her. Moreover she really did not want to go that fast in a relationship because it just increases chances of a heartbreak. A terrible one. "Okay, Abhishek, I am coming. We need to talk this out!" She got up and proceeded towards her room.

"Is this going to be a good talk or a bad talk?"

"A terrible one! You need to be ready to bear it!" And she hanged the call up.

She soon got ready and with some fear proceeded to cafe. This was going to be a terrible blow and a really fast one but she had to ask him to go a bit slow in the relationship.

On reaching the cafe she took are table in the corner so that no one could hear their talks and she was happy to be on time. Surprisingly, she was five minutes before twenty five minutes completed. So she had to wait and he did come after five minutes, and with a really excited expression.

"So?" He sat down right in front of her.

"You called me no! How will I know?" She told him with a stern look.

"Your terrible talk. The one you mentioned on the phone!"

"Oh yes! Abhishek..."

"Wait!" He commanded with an assertive voice. Mihika was shocked, almost frightened on his sudden expression. She was irritated and asked,

"What?"

"I have something for you!" His words were full of childish excitement and sweet innocence which excited Mihika's sense but she made sure that she doesn't astray from the talk and thus she continued.

"Abhishek I feel..."

"You don't want to see it?" He interrupted again. This time he asserted it by sporting a smirk. He then searched the pocket of his leather jacket and took out a little box.

"Open it!" He slid it to her.

Mihika could hardly react. Her eyes were wide open and she was simply staring at the box. Her mind was bombing her with questions. "Is it a ring? He wants us to get married? So fast? Why? Should I open it? What if he proposes me? Can I really say yes?"

"Come on! Open!" He said with a twinkle in his eyes which made Mihika really excited. Abhishek was so happy about this!

She took the box and before opening it glanced at Abhishek's face which was glowing with excitement. She was feeling unsettled yet she was happy. Something was troubling her as her brain shouted "this is not good" but since her heart called out "this is perfect", she opened the box.

Lovers' rings they were! He got her lovers' rings! This was something huge. Mihika did not know how to react. Her expressions were a gentle mix of happy, shocked and confused.

Abhishek was smiling and then he asked her, "So? How are they?"

"They are for us?"

"Nope! For the couple sitting behind us! Mihika, they are obviously for us!" Abhishek could hardly help laughing at his naive lady love who had a delicate expression on her face.

"Amm.. Wow! These are... Well! Great!" Mihika said with a wide smile.

Now, this was going to be tough. "The guy is completely in love with me!" She thought. Telling him to go slow in this relationship with now be tough. In fact, it will now be extremely difficult to actually tell him that! When someone loves you with such affection, how can you stop him?

"You keep one and I keep one! These are..." He was explaining to her with patience.

"Lovers' rings! I know that! Well, Raman Jiju had gifted one to Akka, and well women talk! So you see!" Mihika blushed a bit because she knew a lot about almost all gifts Raman had gifted to Ishita.

"Okay. That makes my task easier! Now your terrible talk!" He kept his ring in the pocket.

"Hey! You cannot keep that in your pocket! You have to wear it. Women must know that this property is booked!" Mihika told assertively.

"Really? Now, who's being possessive then?" Abhishek said with a smirk.

Mihika was taken aback. She really was obsessed with him.

"Okay, now your talk!" He reminded her.

Mihika thought for a second to make up a reason. And then she remembered Ishita's words. Rituals and traditions bring lovers closer. She thus she told him with a rather serious and sensitive tone, "We are fasting!"

Chapter XXVI

Mihika woke up. It was hazy in the sky and sunlight entered her room through an open window, she was felling cold and thus held her blanket tightly. Yesterday was a really sweet day, she thought.

She quickly got up and closed the window. Winters were approaching. She was feeling utterly cold now and it soon be time for some good clothes to cover themselves up for winters in Delhi are way too severe to be taken lightly.

She quickly checked her phone. No calls, no messages no texts. She was disappointed. Abhishek did not call her. But then she remembered about the fast. "Today is going to be tough day!" She thought.

Quickly, she got ready for the day. She had to go for an interview today and it was certainly going to help her in diverting her attention. Mihika then went down to find Vandu and Madhavi sitting there.

"Good morning!" The other two greeted her.

"Yup." Mihika opened the fridge and took out an apple. Lazily, she retired to the counter and started churning it.

Vandu was shocked and once Madhavi left, she shouted "How can you eat?"

"Why can't I?" Mihika looked puzzled.

"Karwachauth! It is! And you told me you were fasting!"

"Yes! I am fasting and so is Abhishek. How does eating affect it?" Mihika stood up with a confused expression and walked up to the hall and sat on the couch.

"You cannot eat anything in Karwachauth!" Vandu exclaimed.

"Nope! Akka, you cannot eat anything in today's fast, I can!" Mihika blinked a few times and then nodded.

"Hain? How is that possible?"

Mihika got up and then held Vandu's hand and then took her to the room. Then, she closed the door and said with a sigh, "Did I really tell you about my fast?"

"Yup. I remember you were telling something else but then Amma entered and you stopped."

"That explains your behavior. Okay, now Akka, I am fasting but in a different way!" Mihika told Vandu with patience and then took the chair from her desk and sat down while Vandu sat on the bed.

"Hmm... How exactly?"

"Today, Abhishek won't call me, message me, or text me anything till the moon appears and the same applies for me!" Mihika told with a nod.

"This! This! This is your fast! This is..." Vandu could hardly control shouting.

"Absurd. I know but then this is what I thought would help both of us you know come closer!" Mihika explained her.

"Oh! Mihika, this is real life. Not a KJo movie. Believe me, Rahul and Anjali are not real! Shahrukh and Kajol are not married." Vandu explain her with loud expressions and fun laugh. But Mihika remained puzzled.

"You know what akka? Aap jaao!"

"Oho! Listen to me Miku. Abhishek is a really sweet guy and by distancing yourself from him, you'll not come closed but just feel incomplete. Plus, now he needs someone like you to share all his thoughts with. He has no family in Delhi. For him, you are the one. Rather, the only one here, he can call his family!"

"I know. That was why he was not ready. He was completely against this idea. It was not until I told him that we can meet at night, that he agreed. Akka, the reason is that I feel our relationship, its going ahead with jet speed. I think we need to realise that we have a life outside this relationship and for that, we need to be alone!" Mihika explained.

"As you wish! But remember my words. If he really does come to meet you tonight, his affection will touch a new high for sure".
