Chapter 11

"Aur bhai tu yahan KMA mein kaise pohncha?" asks Huda to Alekh. "Ya bro please tell, I am eager to know!" says an enthusiastic Yudi bending towards Alekh, sitting on the bed, fully ready to listen to the story. "Apun ek jail mein ek qaidi tha..." starts Alekh. "Qaidi? What's qaidi?" aks Yudi. Slapping on his back head, Huda says "abey Yudiye 'qaidi' matlab 'prisoner'. Samjha mere angrez?" "Ohh...yes! yes!" says Yudi, with a smile on his face. Then addressing to Alekh, Yudi says "Don't tell me brother!", his eyes wide, gazing Alekh's overall look and comparing it with the looks of that of prisoners. Alekh looks at Yudi "Theek hai agar tum logo ko nahi sunni meri kahani to koi baat nahi", says Alekh, casually. "Nahi bro sunni hai na. Kisne kaha nahi sunni?" "Abhi tu ne hi to kaha 'don't... don't... tell me... brother' boley to itni angrezi to sunni hui hai maine!" Huda laughs out loud, "Abey qaidi..."; Yudi gives an expression of 'seriously brother!', noticing Alekh's look.Ali places his hand on Alekh's shoulder and says "Koi baat nahi Alekh Bhai, aisa to hota rehta hai. Aap tension mat li jiye. Aap sunaiye apni kahani".Giving a look to Yudi indicating 'Yeda (Pagal)!' he continues "To hua yun, apun ko zada baat karne ki aadat nahi thi. To pata nahi wahan ke logon ke dimag mein konsa keeda uchla aur apun ko wahan se dafa karne ka soch liya aur yahan lekar rakh dia." "Hmm.." says the other three in unison. Alekh looks at the three one by one, trying to gauge their reactions. "Tum log ghabrao mat. Apun yahan kisi ka nuksaan karne mafik nahi aaya hai" explains Alekh, innocently. The other three smile, lovingly. All the three embrace Alekh into hug, one by one. "Waise Alekh Bhai apke ghar mein kon-kon hain? Apke Ammi-Abbu?" "Good question!" Yudi, points his index finger towards Ali. Alekh looks at the three, then gazing at the ground, he shakes his head, indicating 'no one'."Oye tu fikar na kar qaidi ab hum tere dost hain aur parivaar bhi" "Yeah bro abse kabhi khud ko akela mat samjhna" "Haan Alekh bhai, hum apni Ammi se kahenge ki wo roz humare saath- saath apki salamati ke liye dua mange"

(Throughout this scene, whenever Naina speaks, the background music of Rajveer-Naina, plays along)

"Oye Naina tujhe to Captain Rajveer ne apne room mein bulaya tha na, tu gayi nahi?""Haan yaar bulaya to tha, par main soch rahi hoon jaun ke na jaun!""Arey pagal tujhe itna acha mauka mil raha hai Shah Rukh se milne ka, aur wo bhi akele, aur tu soch rahi hai ki tu jaye ya na jaye, hey bhagwan! Jaaa..." smiles Pooja. "Theek hai yaar tu kehti hai to chali jaati hun". Naina swipes the lock button of her mobile. The mobile gets unlocked, the same webpage flashes on it. Tracing his name for the last time with her thumb, she clicks the lock button.

Chapter 12

As she searches for Captain Rajveer's room in the academy after lights out, she could feel the thumping of her heartbeats. She stops and asks herself "Tu darr kyu rahi hai Naina? Agar kisine kuch pucha to keh dungi ki Captain Shekhawat ne bulaya tha!" she answers her own doubts.

Standing outside his room, she was about to knock, that Rajveer opens the door all of a sudden, dressed in a white top and blue jeans. "Yes Cadet!" he asks, amazed to see Naina at 20:00 hours, standing outside his room. "Ahmmm... Sir apne bulaya tha, kuch kaam tha?" she reminds him. Addressing him politely, for the first time, in the presence of no one around, makes Naina to feel something which she hasn't felt ever before.

Accepting the fact silently, that the way Rajveer always looks at her, makes her feel uncomfortable, Naina shifts her vision from Rajveer to the ground. She waits for Rajveer to say something.

On the other hand a smile plays on Rajveer's lips, seeing her getting more vulnerable as the time passes by. Rajveer stands, resting his left shoulder by the left side of his room's door, folding his hand and stares at her for sometime, with a slight smile on his lips.

(Rajveer- Naina's tune plays in the background)

"Aur aap aa gayin?" he asks, astonished. She creases her brows, thinking why wouldn't she come! Smiling, he invites her in "come in!" and gives way to her to get into the room.

Walking into his room, Naina notices the interior of the room. A room which belongs solely to Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat. It has everything - a bed at the center, giant enough for two. To the right is a small bar - having all the beverages ranging from water to coffee to hard drinks. But as about him, he doesn't consume alcohol much, owing to the fact that he is a soldier that too a Captain, he needs to remain alert and in his senses.

As Naina moves forth, amazed to see how tidy he keeps his room, Rajveer stands behind her, but fully aware and noticing her each reaction. When her eyes fall on the bar, she starts gazing at it. As Rajveer finds her gazing, he explains "yeh guests ke liye hai. I don't drink much, just occasionally". As soon as he explains, he creases his brows, feeling weird because of his reaction 'Main isse ye baat kyu bata raha hoon? Mujhe kabhi koi farak nahi padha ki log mere barey mein kya sochte hain! To aaj kyu mujhey aisa laga ki mujhe isse batana chahiye that I don't drink much?' thinks Rajveer. Shaking his head and exhaling audibly, he focus his attention back on Naina, who is busy noticing everything.

"Kya main yahan baith sakti hun?" she asks, indicating towards the red sofa laid at the corner. "Yeah sure why not Cadet!" says Rajveer. Taking her seat on the sofa, Naina picks up the red sofa cushion from her right, and places it on her lap and rests her arms on it. Rajveer notices her every move. Then looking at Rajveer, Naina smiles. Rajveer reciprocates the smile.

"Naina kal tum logo ka pehla drill hai aur main chahta hoon ki tum best perform karo!" "Kyu?" her question takes Rajveer by surprise. Taking his seat on the opposite sofa, he looks into her eyes. (Rajveer- Naina tune starts playing).
