I guess Arnav is scared o getting her pregnant

She is still too innocent

"It's fine , everything will be fine. Don't worry " Khushi ran her hand on his back, his hands tightening around her in a tight grip.

"I am scared, I don't want to lose anyone" Akash closed his eyes. He has grown up listening to people how his mother died during child-birth. What if Maria..."I can't live without her ..." came his scared whisper.

"Don't be scared... Maria jiji will be fine ... you will see ... Maria Jiji and baby will be fine ... trust me .."

"I want to trust you..." his hold tightened more around her.

"Then trust me .." Khushi hugged him back and lifted her eyes to look at her husband.

Arnav looked at Kusi and tried to give an assuring smile, but his lips refused to budge. The same faded, dreadful memories of his childhood captured his heart. The images weren't clear, but the dreadful feelings are still very much palpable, it still haunts him. He don't want the echo of those events again, he don't want his brother to go through those horrible pain.

The door cracked opened, wrenching everyone away from their thoughts.

The midwife smiled at the three scared faces. "The baby and Mother both are healthy. It's a baby boy"

"Hey Devi Maiya!! Suna aaapne?" She threw herself in Akash's arms, hanging by his neck. "Baby is safe ..Maria jiji is safe ... told you ... I told you ... Aapne toh hume bhi dara diya tha ... " She pulled back and looked at his dazed face. "Boliye kuch.."

"Baby and Maria are safe ..." his lips slowly stretched into a smile. "They are safe... Oh my God, they are safe ..."

"Yes, they are .." the midwife answered. "You can come inside now.."

"Chaliye ..." Khushi took Akash's hand and urged him forward. "aap bhi aaiye " she turned to look at her husband and smiled at him.

Arnav nodded at her and entered the room after them.

"She is tired and sleeping, don't disturb her .." The midwife said.

So the three of them stood their staring at the sleeping form of Maria till the midwife stood in front of them again, now a tiny baby in her arms.

"Meet the baby boy "

Akash looked at the tiny baby, his heart bursting with joy. "My baby .." he took a step forward and lifted his baby in his arms. "Oh my God ... Khushi see he is so beautiful ... unbelievable ..."

Khushi looked at the baby, the big grin refusing to leave her lips. "Baby ..." she stood close to Akash, and looked down at the baby. The baby was so tiny, beautiful, so vulnerable. The smile on her lips fluttered, and after few seconds of staring at the baby, she burst into tears.
