Part 3

TAANI

"Ok where is your other place?" Taani asked...as Rey sat next to her...

"Rohan and I wanted to get away from here after our sister died... so we brought another place... but we didn't move in because of our mission to get those fashion designers..." Rey said looking away... Taani had not asked him about that, she wanted him to tell her himself...

"So where is that place?" Taani asked...Rey smiled...

"Not far from here... but the reason I didn't take you there is because it's not set up the flat is empty..." Rey said...

"SO what are we waiting for... I love decorating flats... let's get over there..." Taani said jumping up...

"Are you serious?" Rey asked...

"Of course..." Taani said smiling...

"Alright let's go..." Rey said grabbing his jacket...

Taani was excited... they left the flat together...

"But before we look, let's get my car... I'm tired of taxi's" Taani said... Rey held her hand...

ARJUN

The flat they were in was a mess...the place was a bad neighbourhood... the flat was unclean and so was the building... it reminded him of his past and what he had to grow up in...

They were two homicide cases... two people were lying on the floor, one man and one women... it looked like the man had shot the lady and then shot himself...

Just then Arnav and Khushi came in... Khushi looked at Arjun, he realised something was wrong, it was the way she was looking at him...

Arnav looked at Khushi she was frozen...He decided to take charge as Khushi looked out of it today...

"Arjun what do we have?" Arnav said suddenly...

"We have two murders, Mr and Mrs Malhotra both look like they're in their late 30's, from the look of it they have been dead for some time, we will have to get them down to Purvi..." Zoya said coming from the other room... Arjun looked back Khushi, she looked like she was in shock... what is wrong with her? Arjun thought...

"Alright Zoya you take the body to the morgue," Arnav said...

"Arjun I need you to ask around... neighbours, anyone who heard anything that might have happened here last night..." Arnav said...

Arjun shook his head... Zoya walked off... Arjun looked around the room... he saw a picture, it was the same man and women but there was a boy with them...

"Wait!" Arjun said... everyone looked at him...

"Where is the kid?"He asked showing them the picture...

"There was no sign!" Zoya said looking around...

"Alright, forget everything everyone spread out... we need to find that kid..." Arnav said...

"I'll check the rooms..." Arjun said heading off to the rooms, he went into the main bedroom... he checked everywhere but there was no sign, he went into the only other room that was there, it was decorated with cheap children things, broken and all...

Arjun looked under the bed he went towards the cupboard and opened it...

There at the bottom was a little boy, fast asleep...Arjun went to the door...

"Found him..." Arjun called... the others came over...Khushi in the lead...

"Don't crowd him..." Arnav warned... they stopped at the door...

Khushi watched as Arjun bent down and woke the little boy up...

"Hey there little guy!" Arjun said softly... Khushi felt tears coming to her eyes...

"Where's my mummy?" The little boy said rubbing his eyes...

"Come on let's come out of here..." Arjun said softly...

"Zoya, get the officers to move the body... this boy does not need to see it..." Arnav said, Zoya shook her head and went off...

"No, I can't come... mummy said to wait here... she said she will come back..." The boy said... Arjun wanted to hug this little boy...

"I know... and you know what she said to me..." Arjun said...

"What did she say?" The boy asked...

"She said, that my little boy is hiding in this cupboard... tell him to come out... he must be very hungry..." Arjun said...The boy was thoughtful..

"I am hungry..." He said...

"So let's get some food..." Arjun said holding his hand out to the boy...

The boy looked at Arjun and then took his hand...

"What's your name?" The little boy asked...Arjun looked at him...

"My name is Arjun... What's yours?" Arjun asked

"Karan..."The little boy replied

Arjun smiled and gently helped him out of the cupboard... Arjun looked up, he saw Khushi, her face was wet with tears... Arjun felt his heart hurt... he realised how Khushi could be feeling...

"Come on Khushi..." Arnav said grabbing her hand... he pulled her away... Arjun carried on looking at her... but then he felt a tug on his hand; he looked down at the boy...

"Where is my mummy?" The boy asked again... How I'm I going to tell him...?

Taani and Rey

They pulled up in front of a nice looking building...Rey led the way to the flat... He opened the door and then he let Taani enter first...

Taani looked around at the empty room; it was a big enough for a small kitchen, dining and living room...

There were two bedrooms with unsuiet bathrooms... the bathrooms and the kitchen was the only thing that was made... everything else was empty...

Taani loved it... the sun came straight into the room... she looked around to Rey who was still standing at the door watching her...He walked towards her and held her hand...

"Taani... will you move in with me?" He asked genuinely...

Taani was shocked... can this day get any better... she was living in pure bliss... But then Arnav's face came into her head...

"I'm sorry Rey I can't..." Taani said, the smile went from his face...

"Why not?" Rey said... he was putting his guard up again...

"Because no one knows that we are together except for Arjun... and I can't let anyone else find out..." Rey looked away...

"So are you just going to continue to live with your brother all your life...?" Rey said looking at her...

"What? I don't live with my brother!" Taani said ,

"So where do you live?" Rey asked confused...

"I live with Arjun!" Taani said, she saw Rey's face change...

"WOAH... are you kidding me?" Rey said his voice rising...

"Rey... come on... Arjun's my best friend..." Taani said, she didn't like the way Rey was acting...

"Oh really... are you sure about that?" Rey said...Taani was hurt at his accusation...

"Thanks for ruining today..." Taani said making her way towards the door...

"Taani... Wait... I'm sorry..." Rey said... holding her hand...

"You shouldn't have said that.." Taani said pushing him away...

"I'm sorry...Sorry..." He said pulling her towards him and kissing her hair...
