When I was in hospital and son wouldn't go home hubs took him to a toy store and bought his fav. remote controlled car and many more...he used to play sitting on the bed and used to demand to go to the hospital as soon as he woke up.

But the nice thing was the way he used to peer into the cradle and see her sleeping, covering her properly when the blanket went astray...

But all said and done now they cant stay away for long without each other, they get bored😆😉

We told all our friends to get a small gift for my older one when they brought things for the new one, just so she feels included and special as well.

I even took my new one to the older one's school for a special show and tell where she proudly presented her baby sister to the whole class.

My kids hav age gap of bout 8 years,,, so there was no sibling rivalry then but as the time passed younger one is pampered more! And now older one is having all sorts of complaints of giving more priority to her sis.

But u know my brothers kids r of age diff of 2 years. When older one went to school one day her teacher called to ask that if she is the adored child as she said in school that after her parents got her brother the don't love her any more and they only scold her always!! 😉
