I never prepared a cheat sheet for any job I have interviewed thus far. Last week after I applied for the position I thought to myself

The Channel Sales Director that interviewed me read through every bullet and asked a question or smiled to ack each

I was like "Phew!! the home work didnt go waste"

I SHOULD have been when I got out of Grad School, but my 16 year old was 3 then, I was too worried about his ear infections, changing day cares and working like a donkey 60 hours a week to think about how to apply for a promotional opportunity.

I cannot blame the system or the politics... I didnt have it in me then...
But I still gave it my 100% every day... always telling myself "ah! who cares what title I am... everyone I work with knows what a terrific job I do"

Its like validation now...

I am sweating and shitting bricks fearing what the new role entails

But it cant be harder than some things I have had to do recently

Any new responsibility will make the the capable ones concerned ( the rest are too cocky). You are immensely creative and disciplined! I see you flying high!
Completely understand this urge to balance work and kids. Never ever easy! We can only try there is always something left undone! The trick is to give our best like you do!
