Part 3

Taani opened the front door, she walked inside and closed the door behind her, her head was spinning with the events that had happened this afternoon, the fight especially...

Taani entered the living room...

"There you are... Where have you been young lady, have you seen the time?" Her Mum said to her...

Taani looked up and saw her mum, dad and Kria standing there...

"Chill aunty I told you Taani is fine... she with Aaron... right Taani?" Kria said giving her a look...

"Um yeh I was with Aaron..." Taani said with a forced smile...

"Are you sure you're ok Taani?" Her dad asked concerned...

"Of course... she is... uncle... Taani come on you have to pack for tomorrow!!" Kria said to her... Kria grabbed her hand...

"I told Aunty and uncle that you were chosen to be in the Baby Project..." Kria said cheerfully...

"Yes, but I have never heard of Reyansh..." Taani's mum said frowning...

"Oh he's just someone from school, but Taani really has to pack... and get some sleep... I'll help her ok..." Kria said dragging Taani upstairs...

Kria dragged Taani upstairs, into Taani's room and shut the door behind her...

"Where have you been Taani? Do you have any idea how worried I was?" Kria asked she had been waiting for Taani's call all evening... when she didn't hear anything she came over... she lied to Taani's parents that she was with Aaron and everything was fine...

"Taani... I am talking to you..." Kria said...

Taani was still thinking about Rey...

"What happened Taani? Did he hurt you?" Kria asked softly worried about her friend's behaviour...

"Huh?" Taani said finally realising Kria was talking to her...

"What happened?" Kria asked again... she was getting really worried...

"Nothing..." Taani said, she remembered what Rey had said about telling anyone...

"Don't give me that bull... tell me the truth Taani..."Kria said

"I can't..." Taani said turning around backing Kria... Kria walked up to Taani facing her...

"Taani we never hide anything from each other... you can tell me anything..." Kria said

"Kria you don't understand... I can't tell you..." Taani said walking away from Kria...

"Are you kidding me right now?" Kria asked...

"Kria... I am sorry... but I can't tell you..." Taani said to her...

"I thought we were friends...I guess not..." Kria said hurt by Taani not telling her...

Kria was about to walk out of the door...

"I never thought you would let someone come between us... let alone Reyansh Singhania..." Kria said... before slamming the door and walking away...

Taani sat down on her bed and she began to cry... thinking about what had happened, with Rey, Kria and what will happen when she had to live with Rey... she fell asleep crying...

Rey pulled up outside his flat... he parked his bike... he had a bottle in his hand... he was about to drink when he noticed a light was turned on in his flat... Rey took a sip... before making his way towards his flat...

He got to the front door and fumbled as he got his keys, he dropped it a few times before he could get it into the hole... he opened the door and stumbled inside...

He lived in an open plan flat, with a living room, kitchen and dining all in one, only his bedroom and bathroom was separate...

"What time do you call this Reyansh?" Someone called to him...

Rey looked towards the man who spoke and he recognised who it was, it was his uncle...

"What are you doing here?" Rey asked trying to stand up straight... His uncle did not live with him, Rey lived with his uncle and his family after his parents died, but after Rey's behaviour got out of hand, his uncles wife threw him out of the house and his uncle brought this one for Rey to live in...

"I came to check on you... are you drunk?" He asked his voice coming closer...

"No..." Rey said hiding the bottle behind his back...he was use to lying, it came to him easily now...

"Don't lie to me..." His uncle said taking the bottle from behind his back...

"What are you doing to yourself Rey? What would your parent have said... if they saw you in this state..." His uncle continued...

"Don't talk about my parents..." Rey snapped...

"By not talking about them... doesn't mean you can forget them... Rey... they cared about you... They had dreams from you..." His uncle said...

"Yeh well they didn't care enough to hang around did they? They took the easy way and left me... just like everyone did..." Rey shouted... some clarity coming back...

"Rey..." His uncle said softly...

Rey pushed his uncle, he went into his room locked the door and flopped onto his bed... he fell fast asleep...

The Next Morning

Taani woke up early... before anyone else was up, she had not done her packing, she quickly put her clothes and necessities into a suitcase... by the time she had finished, the sun was up and she could hear her mum in the kitchen...

Taani looked for her phone... she had not looked at her phone since she was at school yesterday... she saw a million missed calls mostly from Kria and her other friends... probably wondering where she was... Taani felt a pang of guilt, at what happened with Kria yesterday...

She called Kria... but there was no answer... she called two more times but there was still no answer... just then her mum knocked on the door...

"Taani wake up..." Her mum was saying... Taani opened the door and her mum was surprised that Taani was wide awake...

"What happened to you... are you feeling alright..." Her mum said feeling her head...

"Mama... I'm fine... is Kria here?" Taani asked slowly...

"Not yet... she called this morning... she said her mum is taking her to school... because she had her suitcase and things... I asked her if she wanted to talk to you... but she said it's ok... she had to go..." Taani's mum was looking at Taani

"Did you two have a fight?"Her mum asked

"No its fine... she was probably busy... so are you and papa dropping me to school too?" Taani asked battering her eyes...

"No need to do that... your papa is waiting for you... he's been pacing all morning... it's like it's your vidai today... he's soo stressed..." Her mum said with a smile...

"Awww ok ill just get my stuff I'll be down in a bit..."Taani said to her mum with a smile...

"Ok but hurry..." Her mum said...

"Ok...I will..." Taani said closing the door, Taani closed her eyes, Kria must be really angry she always picked up Taani; Taani decided that she will talk to Kria at school...

Taani then grabbed her suitcase making sure she has everything...

"See you room... I'll miss you!!" She said bye to her room...

Reyansh House

Rey sat down on the dining table... covering his eyes...from the sunshine...

His uncle put a glass of juice in front of him...

"Drink up it will help with the hangover..." His uncle said...

Rey pulled the juice towards his and he drank the juice... it did seem to clear his head a little...

"So your teacher called yesterday... she said that you have been chosen for some kind of project..." His uncle continued...

"Shhh... talk a little quieter... my head is going to explode..." Rey said covering his ears...

"Why did you drink last night Rey?" His uncle asked...

"I don't know..."Rey replied...He knew it was because of Taani, what she said brought up his past... no matter how much he tried to move on... it always comes back to haunt him...

"Well where you're going they don't have alcohol for you to drown your sorrows in... so you better cleanup..." His uncle said...

"I don't want to go..." Rey said...

"No choice mate... so you better hit the showers... I'll get some clothes packed for you... go on..." His uncle said...

Rey went off to the showers...

School

Taani's dad parked in the parking lot they got out of the car and her dad helped her with her suitcase...

"Look Kria is also here..." Taani's mum said... Taani turned around and saw Kria meeting her parents...

"Let's go there..." Taani said leading the way... as they passed other students were watching them, as today was the day they would be going off to start the project...

Kria saw Taani approaching... she looked away from her...

Taani stood right in front of Kria...

"Heyy.." she said with a huge smile... Kria looked away although she wanted to smile...

"Come on Kria... are you really going to stay mad at me?" Taani said tickling Kria a little... Kria brushed her hands away but she was smiling...

"It depends are you going to tell me what happened?" Kria asked seriously

"Yeh... I promise I will..." Taani said truthfully...

"Ok... then we are cool..." Kria said hugging Taani... whilst the girls were talking Taani's and Kria's parents was also talking...

"Hey Guys!!!" Vicky called... he made his way over to them...

"Hey... Taani where..." Vicky started but Kria cut him off...

"Mama... we should get going... we will have to go meet the teachers..." Kria said

They all started saying their goodbyes... Taani's dad looked like he was going to cry... Taani hugged him the longest...

Rey's House

Rey came into the living room, finally looking awake; he was dressed in casual clothes...

"Finally... come on let's go or we will be late..." His uncle said leading the way out of the flat...

Rey walked out after his uncle but before he went out into the sunshine he put his sunglasses on to shade his eyes...

They were on their way to go school...

Aaron and Sharon caught up with the other three and the five of them made their way to the principal's office... on approaching they heard someone talking a lot...

"Who is that chatterbox?" Vicky asked... they turned the corner... and saw Neha, Swayam, Shivam and Ella waiting...

"BABU!!!" Neha said running over to Vicky she was about to hug him but Vicky hid behind Kria, Neha hugged Kria instead...

Everyone laughed... Kria had to push Neha off of her...

"He's behind me..." Kria said pointing behind her...

"Oops sorry... Babu" Neha said she found Vicky...

Shivam was watching Taani... Taani saw him looking at her... she turned away... Shivam was definitely creepy...

"Hi Sharon" Swayam said... Sharon gave him another death glare...

"How dare you even say my name... "Sharon said to him...

"Sharon..." Taani said she felt sorry for Swayam...

"Don't get involved Taani..." Sharon said turning on her...

"Don't talk to her like that.." Kria said standing up to Sharon...

Just then Rey came towards them and every stopped talking, Rey still hadn't taken off his sunglasses, he looked like a superstar... walking towards them... Taani remembered how her heart had started beating faster when he said her name yesterday... as he came closer her heart was beating just as fast... she had to hold on her chest to calm her heart down...

"What is happening to me?" She wondered...

Everyone stood quietly as Rey leaned against the wall... Kria glared at him... but he wasn't looking at anyone he looked bored...

Just then the head teacher opened the door and all of them entered the room...

Rohan was also inside the room...

"Hey guys come on in..." He said with that fun tone again...

"Okay... from here we will be going off to the location where the Baby Project is held... but how you are going is important..." Rohan said and the others were curious...

"There are five cars travelling to the location... which means that from here on... you will be with your partners until the very end of the project..." Rohan continued...

Taani looked at Kria, Kria gave a reassuring smile to Taani...

"Also from the time you reached the location there will be cameras following your every movement... in the house... outside of the house... wherever you go...the videos that are taken will be used only for the purpose of the project and only the school will be allowed to view whatever is happening in the house..." Rohan informed them...

Everyone seemed pretty confident...

"Any questions?" Rohan asked, they all shook their heads...

"Okay let's get this Project started..." Rohan said excitedly... he led the way out of the room...

"All the best to all of you!!" The head teacher said...

They followed Rohan out of the room... as they entered the courtyard... the whole school was cheering them on... as they got to the exit... they saw the five cars lined up...

Taani was a little scared...

"Okay Shivam and Ella... you can go in the first car..." Rohan said to them... Shivam looked at Taani before he left... Taani looked away...

"Next, Vicky and Neha..." Rohan said pointing at the next car...

"See you on the next side..." Vicky said as he said bye to the rest of them... they all waved at him as he got into the car with Neha...

Next, Swayam and Sharon..." Rohan said...

Sharon led the way to the car with Swayam trailing behind her...

"Kria and Aaron..." Rohan said pointing at the fourth car...

Kria hugged Taani and wished her all the best... Aaron held the door open for Kria... he smiled at Taani before heading inside the car himself...

"Okay now for our last couple... Reyansh and Taani" Rohan said showing them the last car...

"Ready?" Rey asked speaking for the first time... Taani looked at him... he looked back at her...

"Let's do this.." she said leading the way to the car...
