I have also suffered by helping others. I have a colleague couple went to US 4 years ago from company. For the first two years he asked me to file tax for him and wife. Where he could have done tax filing online by paying Rs 200 and asked me to drop supporting docs. But he made me to do manually. I stood in long office queues to complete the tax filing. This is just one example, I have done few such helps to him. But it was almost two years he was not bother to check on me and share happy news like his wife delivered second baby.

Suddenly I got a call last week saying he needs an help. His current role is coming to an end this month and he needs to find a new role in US office, if not then he needs to move back India. Currently most of the open roles in US need the experience in methodology which I am currently working from past three years. So he wanted a help from me to understand this and get related documents from me. He bugged me in the call for 1 hour and wanted me to send the documents in 5 mins after the call at 10:30 PM. I helped him to understand the methodology and provided the required docs. The next day I get an WhatsApp message to help him with passport renewal etc...by providing reference etc...
I guided him to right person to get a new role in US..

But what makes me sad is people are so selfish they remember only when required but not to share their happy moments and check how we are doing. I am just a ping away in office communicator for him.

i dont know whether this will b applicable here or not...when i was small and when i travels in bus with my grandmom,she will ask me to leave my seat for a pregnant lady or an old person who cant stand...and she used to say to me,"you should help others n bcoz tomorrow someone else will help you"..my mom said to me once never expect anything from the other one whom u r helping to b kind to u bcoz u will b disappointed for sure...but believe that you will get a helping hand from someone else...

barbie thanks a lot for the translation...i always find it difficult to understand tamil lyrics even when its somewhat easy for me to understand conversations in tamil...these lines r so beautiful...thanks for sharing...

but why sorry??nothing is there like butt in...this time ok.next time if you says sorry for this kind of reasons,you might get imposition to write 10 times "i will not say sorry."
