So true, unknowingly he is affected by his Dad's aging, plus he is unsure of his motive this time, he has never been so unsure, not all of it is II's credit, some of it is also because how he has changed and evolved as a person

He has given Excelsior almost 8 months, 9-5 though he has not said anything harsh and has been mostly uncaring about wasted resources etc, he has invested time and energy in it

He has seen Ranjan more because of II and because of Excelsior. II did not orchestrate anything. She has basically lived her life in a silo inside this dysfunctional family

She feels for both but doesnt do anything "soapy". She hasnt set up any forced father son encounters. She hasnt wink wink arranged for golf games or poker games... she has taken their coldness in her stride


But he has witnessed his Dad's failing health. He has noticed him stumble, forget and struggle.
He is still disappointed at whatever the media told him about that evening

His lack of courage has stalled him from digging deeper

But Ranjan is up close and personal for 8 months now. I would say if we saw it as a dial with

Utter hatred on one end

Complete Love on the other
He is probably getting closer to the middle now, or lets say moving slowly away from utter hatred
