Prologue
The phone was ringing for a while. But when he is with his angel he doesn't care to look anywhere else. Truly who can concentrate on any other affair when angel Aairah is here? Wonders Shaheer. From his busy schedule he got just a week off to spend with family and friends. But he had hardly talked to anyone of his family leave aside his friends, that much he was engrossed in playing with his 8 months old niece as if he is fulfilling his quota of playing with her in all these months he was in Indonesia. And he has to be back soon. After all he cant neglect his commitment to work , his film shooting is not completed. His other projects are waiting there as well. So few time he got he doesn't want to look at his phone.
"Sameer beta pick up the phone" says his mother while placing the plate of his favourite Rajma Chawal on table. "its ringing for hours."
Shaheer puts Aairah down on her own small cot. The baby angel was not seem very happy about that. She gestured to go back to her mamu's arms again. Shaheer hurriedly hands over his soft toy to her. "play with Baloo angel till your mamu finishes ur nanijan's rajma chawal" Shaheer picks up the plate.
And the phone starts ringing again. Mother feels impatient and goes to pick the phone.
"let it ring ammi, who wants to receive work calls while enjoying mom's rajma chawal in jammu's chilling January that too returning home after months" says Shaheer in a pampered tone.
"that's not right beta. Someone is calling for so many times. It must be urgent. What if its call from Indonesia?" mother sounds worried.
"why they will call me? I anyway going back next week. Till then they know I will only take rest and wont talk about work." Says the actor in annoyed tone.
"it can be any interview call too" mom opposed.
"not in mood ammi. It can be very well any of my childish fan too" Shaheer's smiling face turned into tensed one. "you don't know how crazy they are."
"like you" taunts alifa who had entered to pick aairah for feeding.
"what do you mean?" frowned Shaheer but before his sister says something phone starts ringing perhaps for hundredth time. And this time mother picks it up and her face adorned with wide grin.
"who is that to bring smile to my ammi's face?" Shaheer got confused.
Alifa had noticed the picture flashing on his iphone screen and she smiles too.
"don't worry its one of your friend" she replies.
"which one?" Shaheer was still in dilemma to check the phone.
"with whom you didn't meet for more than two years...Anant." Last word cleared Shaheer's all confusion.
"Soumya!!!" he jumped to pick the phone but it had stopped ringing.
"now call her back." orders mother while leaving with his finished plate.
"and say sorry to her" added Alifa while leaving with Aairah.
Shaheer slaps his head with his phone and pressed video call button for his friend.
