Ok I am still half asleep, but woke up to shut of my everyday alarm which i forgot to turn it off, slept really really late ystrday...came to peep in whther any update ...butalas...off to catch another hrs sleep🥱,

I'd like to pitch in to the R&B is selfish debate even though a little late. First of all let me say R&B is not my favourite in Sosy for various reasons. He was too clinical and unromantic in the premarriage chapters and I still haven't forgiven him for not inviting ii for the dinner he gave akka. still I would hesitate to call him selfish.

My take is people are, how they are brought up as children. We have seen ma and dad had instilled good manners, how to be kind to domestic help, help the underprivileged relatives, respectful for the adults etc but did we see, at any chapter, that they are expected to look after their parents in their old age?

One can say what is there to tell, it's something you have to feel and want to do. But I think for a child who is given every freedom he wants, even to bring girlfriends home and have sex when you are 17, and ma to accept a live in girlfriend at 18, even at 22/23 ma to accept that his office will be nominal and he would rather climb the wall as he would a rock, I think that staying at MM because your father is getting old and he needs a family, can be an alien thought.

I'm not saying what R&B doing is correct only he's doing that because it never occurred to him to do any different. It's something his ma would accept so he's ok with it.

I don't know whether I explained it well but that's how I feel.
