Whenever they read a name out family friends, seated next to each other clapped, shouted, cheered...On a lighter note, one of the kids graduating was a Bangladeshi boy with the first name of Mullah... when they read his name out in the stadium, we stood up to squeal shout and cheer, until the ceremony was over the people sitting in front and back gave us strange looks

I told my teenager "Yep!! we live in an all white town" "U cant cheer for a Mullah without being suspected for being a terrorist"

The most adorable geeky kid he is... I was saddened just prejudices exits but I am no neta... I can only do what I think is right

It was my daughters high school graduation last year and I had the most fantastic time as well. Throughout all these years you crib about the education system, how they don't teach them cursive writing and no emphasis on discipline, homework nahi Milta blah blah blah, but when the commencement happens and you see what great strides these kids have made...it completely leaves you speechless. Mine too went to a regular high school, the KV of Canada types and my oh my the ceremony was absolutely fantastic, kids spoke so well, each and every students was acknowledged, the teachers and the principals and school district officials giving them their due...my younger one will be graduating from elementary school and stepping into the big bad world of high school and all of us are once again waiting with bated breath. Thankfully post sec education isn't that expensive here as in the US and many did go on to University and college while others decided to save up for higher Ed later on...but they truly become young adults when they graduate!

its the truth, ask any one thats been married for over 10 years...

My husband's favorite joke is the one Seema Biswas cracks in Bandit Queen "Angrezi picture-on mein to kapde UTAARKAR karte hain"

In India sex is taken in a very matter of fact way, thats why M&B's sell so much in India I sometimes feel. . Thats why a 50+ squishy wrinkly SRK/Salman/Saif/Aamir can pass off romancing a firm voluptuous Deepika/Anushka/Kangna

We as a nation are suckers for cheesy romance, cuz only movies match up to our PHANTASEE

LOL Our Tamil movie heroes are famous for pairing with child artists that acted as their daughters MGR...Shivaji and Rajinikath Typical...Heroines who paired opposite Kamal...Rajni later portrayed as their Moms Pandaribai who was one of the first pairs of Shivaji being his mom in most movies too...I do find it ridiculous that Siddarth and Aamir would be depicted as conteporaries...i dont see the younger kids today reading M& B which i know was the coolest girly thing to do then...not any more

Thank you all

This journey seems to be going and going. The best most entertaining, fun group of minds. EnVee WOWW!! I trek a lot too, but mostly wilderness/mountainous areas when we go out during long weekends

Such places are too easy to find in the Mountain North West, there is less than 5 million people between 4 states... towns are situation between 100s of miles of vacant wilderness forest reserves or grasslands. Its spectacularly beautiful, but for Desis like us, it can get quite lonely. I only like solitude so much, maybe because I get so much of it where I live

Thank you for loving the contrast between D II and Malcha Marg. Namratha your note was almost poetic the way you described how R&B views D II. Asma, when is your Bday if people post on the thread we can do special chapters.

Anu: What about updates on romance from YOUR trip. Dont make it all into a boring trek update kanna. We know how clever u are.

Its a love story after all, so who can say no to romance
The ones that do can go watch the husband sharing shows😆

Vikas THANKYOU for giving us free web design lessons. I speak for myself :BAHUT MUSHKIL HAI. Aap hi sambhalo

Noufiya: thank you for loving the story so much and living inside this shell. You have no idea how happy this group and the story makes me feel

Vani: U asked in 23, how I remember to use the type of windows or stairs or a family member appropriately. I put myself in the virtual house when I write, I have a mental image of the layout and the people and their personality traits., inlcuding Kamakshi Athai's hearing impaired annoying nature. I just channel it. Two of Periappa's nurses are annoying... so when its their time of the day... they annoy II😆

im so glad for this mention in the post..thankyou 😳😃
