She looked at him angrily as he teased her. She was about to go from there but she heard animal sounds, so she sat back beside him and caught his arm immediately.
Raj looked at his arm where she was holding and looking back at her he said, "tum ab so jao.."
"kya?.. main yahaan so jau?..", asked Naina widening her eyes.
"kyun nahi?..", asked Raj.
"tum pagal ho gaye ho.. Raj ye jungle hai.. raat mein koyi bhi jaanwar aa sakte hai..", said Naina.
"mujhe pata hai raat hogayi hai.. par kya karein.. raat mein hum baahar jaane ka raasta kaise dhundenge?.. hum subah jaayenge.. tum so jao.. I will be awake..", replied Raj.
"koyi jarurat nahi.. aur waise bhi mujhe yahaan neend bhi nahi aayegi..", said Naina looking around.
"sleep here..", said Raj asking her to sleep in his lap. Naina looked into his eyes. Raj stretched his hand for her and made her lay down on his lap. She happily slept on his lap as he leaned backwards, a tree supporting him.
In the morning, as some sun rays fall on her face, she opened her eyes and looked at Raj who was wide awake and waiting for her to wake up.
"chalo.. ab utho.. hume kitni jaldi ho sake utni jaldi iss jungle se baahar jaana padega..", said Raj making her to get up and he himself got up. They started walking again, Naina was so mesmerized looking at beauty of the forest, huge roots spread on the ground, she had to totally look up to see the ends of the tall trees, birds chirping, the pool flowing beside the path they were walking, looked like a polished mirror of silver, twisting slowly on the surface, which led to a pond. She was just enjoying the sight, when Raj looked at her as he saw her stopping on her trail.
"kya hua?..", he asked her. "kitni sundar hai na ye jagah?..", she asked.
"hmmm.. woh toh hai..", said Raj. "par chalo.. chalte chalte bhi tum iss jungle ki tarif kar sakti ho..", said Raj.
Naina started walking fast but Raj stopped her by her hand, "Naina.. stop.. tum itni teji se mat chalo.. ghir jaogi.." as they started walking on a tough path.
"tum bus mujhe follow karo..", saying this Raj made her walk behind him and moved further and stepped on slippery mud which made him fall down sliding through the slant surface and finally dropped in the mud pool flat on his stomach. Naina came running down screaming his name.
Naina burst out laughing as Raj looked up to see her. "Naina.. stop laughing..", said Raj warning her.
"Raj.. hahha..haha..", she could not start laughing looking his face full of dirt. "I said.. stop laughing..", he warned her again.
"bus tum mujhe follow karo.. hahaha..", Naina mimicked him and started laughing again. "chalo.. haath dedo..", said Naina giving him her hand to come out of the pool. Raj caught her hand and to her surprise he pulled her into the mud pool along with him.
"Raj..", she shouted, she was all covered with mud and it was Raj's turn to laugh looking at her. She started throwing mud water on him getting angry on him. Raj also played along with her.
"Naina.. stop.. ab bus..", saying this Raj tried to stop her, but she did not stop. Raj caught her hands trying to stop and while doing so he slipped and fell on her. She fell down flat on her back, Raj's lips brushed hers in the process of controlling himself not to fall on her, but landed flat on her. Naina's breath stopped for a while. She was looking at him not blinking her eyes. She was so happy feeling him so close to her. Raj looked at her for a while and moved aside giving some space for her to get up. He sat there for few seconds not looking at her. Turning back to Naina he said, "ab hume chalna chahiye.. warna hume dher ho jayegi..", he got up from the pool.
Naina got up herself as Raj went forward without looking back at her once. Naina and Raj were totally covered with mud and they searched for clean water to clean themselves up. Finally they found a small waterfall near by and went there. Both of them started cleaning up, while Naina went beyond and stood under the waterfall, stretching her hands. Raj was watching her, his heartbeat racing, she looked so beautiful. His eyes traveled down as the water hit her body, the way the water traced down her body cleaning the mud. Naina was wearing this (if you remember Alekh and Neelu's engagement, Naina was in this dress)
Naina noticed Raj watching her and hid her smile as she continued cleaning the mud on her body. After sometime, Naina came back to Raj, her wet clothes clinging to her body, he looked everywhere but not at her. Naina started drying up her clothes, Raj occasionally glancing at her, Naina was noticing eveyrthing.
Once they are done with cleaning up the mud and drying the clothes, they started walking, they walked for a while when Naina said, "Raj.. mujhe bhook lagi hai..". Raj stopped walking.
"bus bhook lagi hai.. ya kuch special khaane ka mann bhi kar rahi hai?..", asked Raj looking at her irritatingly.
"tum mujhse naraj kyun ho rahe ho?..", asked Naina making an innocent face.
"Naina.. hum jungle mein hai.. aur ab tumhe bhuk lagi toh main khaana kahaan se lau?..", asked Raj.
"tumhare paas sare problems ka solution hota hai.. iss problem ka nahi?..", asked Naina. Raj looked at her sternly.
"chalo.. koyi baat nahi.. main tumhe batati hun.. woh dekho..", said Naina pointing to a tall tree and its fruits. Raj looked at her with a blank expression.
"aisa kya dekh rahe ho.. tum upar chado aur mere liye woh fruits lao..", said Naina.
"kya?..", asked Raj in surprise. "kya kya?.. jaldi upar chado.. mujhe bahut bhuk lagi hai..", said Naina ordering him.
"Naina.. ye ped itna lamba hai aur main iss ped ke upar chadun?..", asked Raj.
"lamba hai toh kya.. mujhe bhuk lagi hai.. bolo agar tum nahi chad sakte toh main hi chadungi..", replied Naina.
"nahi.. nahi.. tum mat jao.. main hi jaunga..", said Raj and looking at the tree, he cursed. He started climbing the tree with much difficulty and finally reaching the fruits, he cut the fruits from the tree and started throwing them down while Naina started catching them with her dupatta, spreading with her both hands.
"wahaan.. woh wala..", Naina gave directions to Raj. "Naina.. woh toh bahut dur hai.. ab bus aur kitna chahiye tumhe.. main neeche aa raha hun..", said Raj and began climbing down.
"nahi..", Naina said it raising her voice. "Raj.. please.. please.. last one..", said Naina pleading him.
"theek hai.. last one!!..", Raj agreed and began moving to the side where Naina was pointing. As Raj was busy in cutting the fruit, someone came from Naina's behind and closed her mouth in order to stop her from shouting, lifting her up in their arms they started taking her away.
"yahi hai na?..", asked Raj but when he did not hear any response from her, he looked down to see Naina being carried away by few forest people.
"heyyy..", Raj started shouting and came down as fast as he could and ran behind chasing them.
