Very nice chapter. Loved the small gesture of Khushi in the tea-shop when she tipped extra and offered chips to the boy. The doctor seems cool. But why did he offer Khushi the job of a driver?

Weirderly enough I just know the feeling of odd one out either too old or too young no one of my age and sulked in the corner

Well, I just caught up this story. I'm in.

I can relate myself to this Kushi. There were some moments in my life I've spent alone and yes but not lonely.

And, hey! That driving thing😃 I used to do the same, I don't even own a second hand car, so with my scooty. Having soft drinks at road side shops and visiting old temples, which were almost at the edge of destruction..
high five.. till now, but alas.. I never found any Dr. Venkat Rao.. If only it had happened to me I would be damn happy. But I can read your story as a fantasy :)

Your five hundred words are more than enough for me to visualize those images that you are creating. You're such an amazing writer.

Dr. Venkat Rao seems to be a very interesting character and I hope we see much more of him and how helps Khushi grow. Archeology can be tedious but fascinating. Hope to see something interesting there as well!

One can imagine how Khushi must have felt on being left alone.

Payal could have made the effort to ask her to join them .

No wonder Khushi is pissed.

When does the hero make an entry?

Venkat seems to be a nice old guy.

Wonder whether Shashi will advice her to take up the job.

Oh yes, summer holidays at Nanighar. Being ridiculously spoilt and pampered. Running riot with summer cousins. And, of course, eating your body weight in mangoes.

One of the best pleasures in life is meandering on the "ink spill on brown and green canvas" with great music, no time restrictions and no preplanned destination. Using it as thinking time or switching off time.

What am I met with every time I turn the last page of a thriller, every time the end credits of a fantastic movie roll by? Disappointment? Why? For when the book is shut, the movie over, I walk to the kitchen to get a glass of water and realize it's a plain glass and plain water. An anti-climax to all that excitement that was fiction, a fact that hits with more veracity than usual. Jeez, I get what Khushi feels. Totally.

Another amazing chapter RB, what do I say other than 👏.
