I can't put my emotion while reading this into words.

Very well written, Choti.

I really am in awe of your writing.

You've described so well Khushi's agony and distress at the news of NK's martyrdom.

She has lost her best friend.

It is going to be very tough for Khushi to overcome this.

Hopefully Arnav will be there to support her.

hi...m a silent reader...honestly, when i read the prologue bt khushi being NK's fiance, i detached myself from the story...as m immature at heart, and its difficult for me to accept Khushi and Arnav with other people...though i used to read in-between, when curiosity wud take over...

also i will be very honest and convey that i did skip a few of the chapters, where Khushi was so into NK...but this chapter compelled me to comment...

firstly when i read the Khushi married Arnav...i was very happy...i know thats shallow thinking, but cant help it...then i read the though khushi was engaged to NK, Arnav was her love...but then she married Arnav to get NK freed...that was fine, since he was her close friend...but today the way she went hysterical n the way she totally ignored Arnav, makes me question, whether she was in love with NK...i understand her pain, her trauma...but this kind off hysterics come over when u loose ur love or ur parents...hence i think she doesnt love Arnav, but did love NK...

though i didnt like NK, as he wanted Khushi as his wife...but still it did hurt that he is no more...that too for what, getting his own country free...no-one deserves such fate...

poor Arnav, felt really bad for him, when Khushi ignored him...

i think he will be a part of that group now...and become their leader...better than NK...not taking stupid decisions to jeopardize local's life...and will earn the respect n reverence of Khushi through his actions...

hope he is able to do that...wouldnt like to see him wooing or forcing khushi, when she clearly isnt even ready to share her pain with him...

It was heart wrenching. But you have done it again, brilliant. The emotions especially of Khushi and Aman. How it must have felt and still feels for people who walk through the war zones be it of any form in life. Be the actual war or the twisters life throws at them.

Arnav's character yet another dimension to it. He understands everything Khushi goes through and wants to do more for her, even though he is not able to understand of this freedom fight.

Got no words to describe how you have brought out a small portion of these tribulations.

And that is what I got it when i read he died with a smile. NK is a soldier and a Martyr and he is in peace. It is said that Its a sin to shed tears after a Shahid but the grief and pain of the near dear ones is beyond common men. It could be only felt by the families of Shahid and that raises a question: Is there someone in your family who was a freedom Fighter Choti?

Aman, Anjali and Khushi lost their support their leader their passion and even I guess this will be the set back to their movement but then

Martyrdom does not end something, it only is a beginning.

Arnav praying for the first time to take away the pain of his wife was the perfect end to the chapter of the brave called NK and the only thing that comes in my mind is the song that wraps up what each and every citizen must feel about these brave souls.

PS: Choti take a bow. Today most of the youngsters in India do not value freedom fighters and Independence and you not only dedicate your story in that era but also are doing justice to it. 👏

First a heartfelt apology for not commenting before. I guess the Damocles sword was going to swing at some point right? We knew it would be devastating but not to what extent. She is truly a broken woman at the moment and even their resistance seems to have hit a bump in the road. While Aman was the wisdom, NK was the passion and people usually respond more to passion so their passion is temporarily gone. Something tell me that they will not make his death futile and that his spirit will live long and prosper in the movement. I knew Aman, Anjali and Kushi would crumble but it was very humbling watching Arnav break for his wife, feeling helpless and taking a back seat to Aman. Hell, the man went as far as prayed for the first time in like ages. How can Devi Mayya not answer his plea? Very heartbreaking chapter! He was not my favourite NK but one must admire his passion and his patriotic dedication. So for you NK, a salute Jai Hind!
