Awesome = Akash story is told. Trust that at some point we will see Payal being given a taste of her own medicine. The Raizada seem to have been going through endless shit - Anjali, Akash .. phew no wonder they seem so uptight and irrational about life.

Realllyy enjoyed this chapter.

I knew Aakash had an interesting story to tell (ok I know I'm a bad person for expecting such a thing). Payal is a major bitch...yes. God hate how women can so easily take unfair advantage of men. Our laws are really f**ked up and badly in a need of an improvement and upgrade.
Anyway I just want to establish that I reallyyy like Aakash... He seems to such a nice...fun person (though obviously...very troubled). I totally want him to give Lavanya a chance :D

And damn, Coonoor seems like a place I need to be in right now. Badly.

This part of update reminded me why good real friends are important in life...like Khushi concluded "friends indeed have the power to unleash the real you. Perhaps, it is their ability to accept you the way you are, which enables true friends to touch your heart by cutting through the endless layers of protective wrapping". In this current world, loyal friends are rare gems...very very rare! I am greatly enjoying Kuku-Akki friendship! Their emotions, teasing, support, unwavering faith...you have sketched them beautifully. Friendship is after all mutual happiness which makes life beautiful..Khushi finds it easy to talk about her issues with Akki when he pressed her - her conflicts with dad and he showed her a different perspective by quoting his past experience with her dad. That's what a true friend is, instead of lecturing, he showed her the mirror. I also loved where Akash told Khushi about his divorce, the setting was perfect and his acceptance, directness to accept Khushi's judgement, Whatever it was! But I loved it when Khushi stunned him, surprised him with her question and later with her correct description of Payal. That was nicely done S! Cheers! I loved it..I am waiting for La to join them in their trip.

I loved few of the statements you made in this story

1. Focusing her energies on what needed to done rather than worry about the infinite things that could go wrong, helped.

2. Together with Lavanya who joined the family for lunch whenever she was around, Khushi grasped the meaning of shared wisdom. Hours flew by as the four women talked about their experiences over years across various spheres of their everyday living.

3. Life does not knock at your door and seek permission to teach lessons, be it good or bad. It just does.

4. That week, Khushi learnt something new. In order to feel happy you need to spread joy amongst people around you. Whoever said happiness begets happiness clearly knew what they were talking about.

5. Basic human psychology suggests that we take what is around us for granted and only and only when we have to do without it do we miss it."

6. It was never easy to rehash painful memories. Opening the wound repeatedly hurts like hell.

7. Enchanting pendant lamps lit up the veranda resplendently. The cosmopolitan crowd partied on as if they hadn't a care in the world. Appearances could indeed be deceiving.

8. Khushi's loyalty glossed his eyes with a watery film and left him feeling sanguine - Touching! One such friend who believes in you would be enough to face any hardships

great bonding between friends... I think this is just what they both needed .,.,, akki and kuku and them being their for each other... and khushi is right payal is classy bitch...

and yes I want to miss part 2 ... I have a feeling that certain someone migh spot two friends hanging out having lunch ... it'll be so much fun to see his reaction..

It's women like Payal who would do anything for revenge or money who make it hard on genuine victims of dowry harassment and domestic abuse. It's taken us a long time as a society to even acknowledge that women being ill-treated isn't their destiny. And it took an even longer time for these women to take a stand and fight for themselves. But Payal and her ilk have succeeded in setting us back again. I felt so sorry for Akash. I hope that wretched woman is never happy.
