gud update. It's not khushi fault that anju is missing.I also suspect the girl(Lakshmi's daughter) is missing instead of being dead. Isn't it?Or may be my brain s working overtime

I wonder how Aarthi knows who khushi is ?? family tree is useful tnx for that.. So arnav has some cousins too!! that's interesting .
wonder why Aarti is distancing herself from the other children?? is there any other reason for that too ? looks like she doesn't care for anyone other than anjali..
Why Raghavendra is not staying with the
family?

"Families are messy ... Sometimes the best we can do is to remind each other that we're related for better or for worse...~Rick Riordan ---Nice quote, yea no choice in family! Fate!;-)

And after reading this update, I perfectly understand why you used this quote..2-3 updates back when you have mentioned Sumitra's worry about her family, I did wonder what would be the situation but never thought it would be so bad...

Aarti is totally gone, unreasonable is the best word. Was she like that before - I think so but I feel after Anju's disappearance it got worst which lead her husband to give up hope and move to Mumbai, lead to the destruction of her sons..It is a miracle that the children survived. Like you mentioned in an earlier update, Arnav is the only one who is holding all the threads together. Akash has ruined his life...can it be repaired, I wonder...When he spoke to Dadi, I felt so sad for him, he craves for some affection and love...

Anyways I got to give it to you, you have painted Aarti excellently, I kind of hate her but pity her. That characterization has hit its mark I feel. The whole family scene, confrontation and their expressions, feelings, pain was beautifully etched, leaving the reader ache for them..

I am impressed by Arnav's ability to hold it in and present the facts to the family members. I think it was better that the family was there instead of him dealing Aarti alone. Her confrontation with Sumitra was harsh and rude but anger makes one irrational. No wonder Sumitra finds it easy with Manorama...Well, that was another surprise, for the first time I find Manorama in a lighter warmly shade -- Round face, pleasant features and minimal jewellery enhanced her wholesome looks and served her well as the head of the Spastic Society Volunteering Centre with a career too (even though non-practising) It was a nice change.

The massive eighteenth century Baroque gilt mirror reflected a disturbing picture of a family in pain and their inability to cope with loss. ---- This leaves a beautiful impression!

Fast paced or slow paced, I love what you write :-)

I had been stalling reading this for the simple reason that every chapter of yours leaves me breathless for more. I had made up my mind that I'll read when I get at least 5 chapters in a row and save myself a few sleepless nights. But obviously the temptation to read was far stronger and I sat reading yesterday. It took me five about four hours to read three chapters, not because they were long or I am a pathetically slow reader but because I relished each word and at ease.
The genre though doesn't leave me at peace and at present I am certainly not at ease.

Sandy Di, loved, loved, loved the story so far. With each chapter the mystery behind disappearances and not just a single disappearance builds some more. Lakshmi's daughter and Anjali's case seems connected. And the man with the moustache though has made only one appearance in the train so far is already giving me creeps. Why do I feel, there's going to be more to him?

Ah, not particularly fond of Sobti's burgeoning hair growth, after reading HOT, I am reconsidering my aversion to his hairy avatar.

Both Arnav and Khushi and their respective familial dramas were intriguing to read. I loved how each character's perspective is brought out and none has been antagonized. Everyone's predicament is rather understandable. Even Aarti who certainly will impede any paradise from flourishing in Arnav and Khushi's hearts (duh, there I go, can't think beyond lau) is perfectly understandable in her place. Wonder if she has something to do with Akash's divorce (or everything maybe) ?
I feel miserable for Khushi bitiya, may god save her from Aarti amma.

Why is Akash so angry with his mom. He was always the scared one right. As for Arnav his the one tying to keep everyone together.
Article thinks Anjali is still alive and so does Khushi. As for the rest think she is no more so is Arav's dad.

Loved the update.

awesome update dear...starting from the way u have mentioned the interior of aashirwad and its surroundings...thats awesome...

coming to aarthi ...her being in constant denial state and some way its true too that until and unless she not going to see her daughter body with her own eyes ...a hope of mother cannot be die down ...but yes if i am getting it right i guess even when anjali was there in childhood still aarthi was shown very strict so its part of her nature...she a tough soul

loved the contrast u have shown between two daughters in laws of raizada's family...aarthi totally opposite of manorama...loved the way arnav and akash showering their love towards dadi...and manorama equally loved by all.

arnav till now seems very polite and family man...how being 30 still going after mother to convince her ..he was eager to bring ease to her thats amazing...so he said he didn't recognised her...and specially her eyes...so he was in childhood pretty close to those soulful eyes, hmmm very interesting...and y he didn't recognised those eyes i guess maybe in childhood her eyes were full of life sparkle hopes...and now there r constant dullness,or maybe i am assuming there must be fear ...fear that he maybe recognised her and wt would be after math of that will be...:)...i don't know brain is running fast :)..

one positive thing which i noted from ur words where arnav thought about anajli and thought that had anjali be there wt would be her reaction towards khushi...and he already knew the reply...thats very very interesting :)...its having very very positive feel attached to it :)

akash a totally different charcater :)...would love to read about him when story progress further...

the family tree again its amazing work from ur end...loved the chap sandhya ...

Great update! Whoa that family is all over the place. No matter how successful Arnav is, at the end of the day he is still a vulnerable child who is looking for approval from his mother. Both children have been neglected. It seems like their mother has become worse and is neglecting the rest of the family. She just wants to find her daughter. Akash just wants to rile her up! Hoping for a reaction out of her. They are both clinging on to any warmth and love they can find. So no wonder they don't want their grandma and aunt to go.

Can't wait to read on more
