Looking forward for Sunday's treat 😉

The sneak peek into telephone/ cellphone dynamics of the Raizada family's past brought a smile to my face. We as a generation have made transition from C/o and PCOs to landlines, cordless, cellphones to smartphones. I am sure every Indian family has its own 'telephonic history'

I cant talk on phone. I need to join classes. I cant bring myself to talk for more than 2 mins, if at all 😭

Aakash was popular, friendly, uncontroversial, very bright and social/ helpful enough to tutor others. Why did I get this feeling that Arnav thought the erstwhile Aakash was everything that the teen Arnav wasn't? Arnav didnt really fancy himself as a teen, now did he?

'Ja Payal jee le apni zindagi'... Havent we said this to our friends at one point or another? 😆 Btw, what a coincidence, I am not interested in anything that Payal might have to say either 😃

It doesnt matter what Arnav says or does, every nanand bhabhi is Seema and Poonam. That is a universal truth 😆

Yeah, I know. These surprise visits look good only on screen. In real life it means shock, panic and short time for any arrangements that need to be made. It is always better to inform beforehand. Unless of course, you want to corner your father in your own home 😛

Khushi wants to protect Arnav from Preeto's harsh judgment... Kuch kuch hota hai Champion, tum behtar hai na smajho aur Raizadas se door raho 😡

Unlike Khushi, I didnt like Shashi calling someone else 'Champion'. Khushi, his daughter, is his Champion. How can he give that title to some random help? 😕

All parents want their kids to do better than them. Shashi wasnt wrong in wanting Khushi to be more than a halwai. And it would have been possible if she had never crossed paths with any of the Raizadas... But Khushi was so young with already confidence, financial, family and god knows what not issues. Her little heart full of hopes couldnt take this unjust blow and she gave up on everything- studies, friends, family, ambitions, belief in herself, joys... Thank god for Preeto. I hereby humbly take back any word I might have said against Preeto ever. Preeto forced Khushi to at least get a degree which Khushi did inspite of the heartbreak. But in this one sentence you can see the chasm betweem father and daughter 'The results came out in December 2009, almost a year and a half after when she should have actually graduated. Alchemy no longer featured on her final degree certificate, a fact that Baba pointed to her' 😭 I have started hating the gloom that surrouds Khushi all the time. You please bring happy days in her life back again. PLEASE

I am sure it must hurt... from wanting to be a math whiz to answering calls for a living.. 💔 YB!!!!

I initially thought Khushi must be so focussed on TnS coz she had taken it up as a personal challenge for self-fulfillment. But it turns out she is doing whatever that she is to restore her mother's honor. She isnt salvaging TnS. She is salvaging her mother's pride. Whattay girl 👏

And Shashi doesnt have any issue with Khushi 'choosing' another man over her own father. He just doesnt want her to be a halwai; be it at Gupta Mithai or TnS

Why do I get the feeling these calls are related to Samir Singh's warning to Payal for Khushi and that not returning them are going to cost Khushi? YB no more! 😭

Poonam Raizada doesnt look into her own health for her business. Very good. Very smart. Yet another feather in her cap over-flowing with well-meaning, well-thought of decisions. Pah!

😲😲😲Quite a few updates back when I didnt know a thing about Poonam, I had mused in one of my comments about what Poonam's reaction will be on Khushi's business interests. Not exactly this but something on these lines. And today, I actually saw Poonam thinking of Khushi and business in the same sentence! 😲😲 So Poonam knows what Khushi is doing currently? Does she know Aakash and Khushi are thick friends? She was thinking of Khushi, right? 😕

I dont mind if Poonam gets her share of doom and gloom now. YB, are you listening???

Shivam is an honest bureaucrat. Anand wants to finally thank Khushi and Arnav is already 'pursuing' Khushi. I know these people want to help. But Khushi and Raizadas together only mean a recipe for disaster; only that it is Khushi that bears the brunt. YB... make my Khushi smile. Please.

At least, Shashi's and Khushi's relation has improved 😃

YB I am in a mood to boss around today. So that is what I shall do right away. Of course, as an author you are allowed to ignore this: The girl that Aakash has always liked CANNOT be Payal. A guy like Aakash (all white) can never be in love with someone like Payal (all black). Dono ka koyi mel hi nahi (Yeah, I am Garima here). From what I could see of Payal today, I dont mind thinking she has something going on for Aakash. Her visiting the hospital (which is so unlike her) when she came to know Aakash would be there. Her sarcastic comment on Khushi-Aakash friendship. Her almost jealous attack on Khushi. Her twisting things so that Aakash drives her home instead of Khushi, almost as if she wanted to see Aakash at midnight. There was this scene in the past where Payal meets Khushi on the grounds of Alchemy after Khushi had joined Arnav's father's company. Preeto had told her then that Payal was assessing Khushi. Was she doing that due to Khushi's 'friendship' with Aakash and not Arnav's 'interest' in her? Payal may feel 101 things for her fiance's brother but I dont want Aakash to reciprocate the feelings. No YB. No!! I dont want Aakash's current bachlerhood and furture heartbreak to on the altar of Goddess Payal! NAHHHI!!! Quite anti-climatic... but then probably I am just over-thinking...

Khushi doesnt want to hurt Arnav. Coz she isnt seeking redemption from him. Also, Khushi knows being around Arnav is dangerous to her self-respect at the very least. Yet she cant will herself to wound him by not asking him inside. Arnav doesnt believe in all the trashy prophecies but when he is with Khushi, he cant help but speak about it with hope. I can see the beginnings of a romance which scares me for Khushi 😕 Why am I in such a pessimistic mood today?

Divyesh is close enough to Baig Sir's family to be personally informed by his son about his heart attack. Yet Divyesh chose to visit him the next day

Arnav hasnt been in touch for years and he decides to visit the hospital immediately, with a little push of course. Strange, whom we keep ignoring in health and prosperity, we rush to visit in sickness and death...

Khushi wanted to rush to the hospital not just to enquire about Baig sir but also to be of any help she could. Ek pyali chai ke saath.

Who is the better person then?

PS: I just had a thought. I have the feeling that Anand Raizada doesnt know the extent of damange Poonam has done in Khushi's life. Then why did he ask Arnav to not let his mom know?

While I do not really believe in the whole person you see at midnight on New Year's Day, he or she is the person you will be seeing the most of during the next year thing, I was incredibly happy when Arnav and Khushi did land up together at midnight. Talk about double standards. 😆

I LOVE this story...read all chapters thus far in one go! im surprised arnavs dad dsnt know the ins and outs of what happened with khushi. And I'm shocked with payal...is she trying to get arnav and khushi closer together?

It is one of those stories that you cannot get enough of... Have read and re-read all the chapters three times over and want to read more...

First off, Akash and Payal - like really!!! They are complete opposites, but I guess the old saying goes, opposites attract. But Payal did orchestrate that midnight meeting just after hearing about the New Year's theory from NK and Akash and Khushi did pass a very telling look to one another so maybe there is something to this theory! I wonder if we are all reading too much into this idea that Payal is the woman Khushi refers to when she talks to Renu Bhabi about Akash.

What happened two years ago that made Poonam Raizada start fasting😕

So Anand Raizada indeed knows that Khushi was not apologized to nor was she thanked fully for helping him out. If he knew all that for years, why does he want to help Khushi out now? Again, just like with Arnav, why now?? And like Anand pointed out, it sure is strange that some random girl from Chandni Chowk is so tangled up with all of them. LOL at Anand's suggestion at having a discussion with Arnav out of HP's vicinity. Even Anand realizes that Arnav was an elitist up until a few years ago. I wonder what happened that made him change at that point... Shivam Malick seems like a good idea - obviously Akash has learned from his dad!

Is Anjali goading Arnav with bringing up talks about Akash and Khushi or is she serious? And what do Seema Bua and Poonam know about Akash's love interest? Poonam is honestly very cryptic and I honestly get a really bad feeling every time she's in the picture, and sometimes her absence even seems too mysterious to me - lol I'm definitely overthinking this😆

This is probably the only story where I actually like Anjali. Her and Jun are definitely a match made in heaven. Loved Anjali's comment to Arnav about not knowing matters of the heart because he's not in love - she summed up his relationship with Payal with just those words. And he couldn't even deny it.

So glad Preetho and Akash have stayed true friends to Khushi. They both helped her along the way and are still there to support her, which I love. If it wasn't for Preetho, Khushi wouldn't have completed her degree and also gone to meet he parents.

The scene when Baba called his assistant Champion actually was a little heartbreaking. Even though Khushi took it in stride, it was really very upsetting. The relationship they shared in the past was so great so it's upsetting to see how far apart they have drifted apart over the years. However, it was nice to see how the relationship thawed in the span of the week. It was definitely a good sign when he called her champion at the end of the trip (love that he remembered her birthday, albeit a little late). I hope he now joins in on those bi-weekly phone calls.

I understand why Baba was upset that Khushi is continuing in the path of a halwai and not completing her graduation from Alchemy, but going away from her and not speaking to her is a little too harsh. I'm glad you finally disclosed what the reason was for Baba's disappointment in Khushi. I appreciate that Khushi wants to restore the T&S for her mom's honor. She really is very strong, but all of this is just too much. The girl needs some happiness in her life soon!!

Khushi doesn't know why she doesn't want Preeto to talk badly about Arnav. Arnav doesn't understand why he feels the need to constantly apologize to Khushi or why her name comes up in so many of his daily interactions/conversations - both don't understand these matters of the heart, yet!

If Renu Bhabi is thinking there's something more to Khushi and Akash's friendship, wonder what she will think of Arnav and Khushi's interaction! Again, you left us off with a great cliffhanger!
