Eight Shot : In Chat With Ebu!

Arnav stirred in his sleep as he heard some voice. He blinked his eyes open and looked down to see Khushi sleeping on his chest, her hand around his neck. Smiling, he laid her on bed, careful not to break her sleep. Probing on his elbow, he stared down at her beautiful face. Tucked inside his white T, she slept peacefully, her mouth little open. Chuckling, he pushed her chin up, closing her mouth.

And soon those weird sounds again reached his ears. He frowned and got up from the bed. Walking towards the crib,he peeked inside.

Ebu looked at his Father, his eyes twinkling. Filling some air in his mouth, he again made those weird noises.

Arnav chuckled.

"So it was you ...You , Amma ka Ebu ..come here ..." he picked him in his arms and kissed his lips. "Why was that noise? What if Amma wakes up, ha?" Pulling his T which was rolled up to his stomach, he sat on the bed and tried to place Abeer near his Amma.

But Ebu cuddled more into his Paa's naked chest, finding it warm and comforting.

Arnav smiled down at him and kissed his soft hair. Lying down on the bed, he made Ebu sit on his stomach. "Don't want to go to Amma today?" Arnav asked.

Abeer looked at his Amma and clapped his hand. "Amm..aaa"

"Yes ...Amma.." Laying Abeer beside Khushi, Arnav probed on his elbow and looked down at Khushi. "Amma is beautiful , isn't she, Abeer?" Arnav asked, a small smile playing on his lips as his eyes caressed her beautiful face.

Abeer seated himself supporting his back against his Father's chest and looked at his Amma. "Amm...aa" He smiled and pointed his finger at his Mother.

Arnav caught his tiny hand and kissed his palm. "Yes ...Amm..aa... she is so beautiful ..." He caressed her soft cheek before tucking a strand behind her ear. "So soft ... so lovely ...so good ... So crazy ..." he smiled. " She is our Jalebi queen..." he laughed. And soon saw her stir in her sleep "Shhh..." picking Abeer, he gestured him to keep quiet and got off the bed. "We will talk somewhere else ... Let her get some sleep before she wakes up and goes back to doing all the crazy things no one could even think of .."

He entered the poolside with Abeer in his arms. " This place is good, and out of reach from your Amma's ear." He walked towards a rose pot and kept Abeer on his tiny feet. Kneeling down, he looked at the roses. " They are beautiful, aren't they Abeer? Just like your Amma" Arnav said, inspecting a perfectly bloomed red rose.

"Amm...aaa" Ebu grinned at her Paa and tried to touch the rose, but was stopped by his Father.

"No sweetheart, you will hurt your hand. You see these thorns?" Arnav pointed at the thorns. "It could hurt you, baby ..." He wrapped an arm around Abeer's waist and pulled him against his chest. "Stay here.." He kissed his cheek. "We will give this rose to Amma, it's beautiful, isn't it?" Taking the scissor from beside the pot, he cut the rose carefully. Clearing all the thorns from the rose, he handed the rose to his baby. "Here .. keep it with you, we will give it to your Amma when she is up" saying that, he picked Abeer and got up.

"You like this place, don't you Abeer?" Arnav asked as he strolled in the poolside, looking at his beautiful garden. "I too love this place.." a smile tugged at the corner of lips. "We ..Your Amma and I , made so many memories here ... Some good , some bad... Some happy, some sad ... " He looked at Abeer who was resting his head on his shoulder, listening to him "I have also hurt her so many times ... so much.." his troubled eyes looked at his baby's innocent face, guilty. "But she forgave me for everything I did ... Didn't I say she is very beautiful? She has a very beautiful heart, a heart which forgives everyone ... But that doesn't mean we keep hurting her, OK? Promise me you would never hurt her...promise me.." Arnav extended his hand.

Abeer smacked his palm against his Father's palm. "Amm...aa"

Arnav chuckled and kissed his hair. "Thank you baby... I know you love your Amma and would never hurt her..."

He went and sat on the recliner, the same recliner where he had almost confessed his love for Khushi. Making him sit on his lap, he made Ebu face him. "You know she talks and looks adorably cute after drinking bhaang ... And crazily makes jalebis when she is upset ... " Arnav smiled down at his son and cuddled him close to his chest. "She is so scared of dark ... and holds my hand tight while sleeping ... She calls me Laad Governor when she is mad at me, and the very next second, she is all over me, hugging the daylight out of me... She makes me forget every worry with her heartwarming smile... She...she is just amazing! ... She is the most beautiful gift my life has ever given me ..." Arnav lifted his Son in the air. "And then she gave me you ..." Hot tears soon filled his eyes, the happiness overwhelming him at once. "The most tiniest, cutest, handsome, lovable, cuddle-able thing ever.."

"Paa...!!" Ebu giggled loudly , clapping his hands.

Arnav chuckled through his tears. Again holding him close to his heart, he kissed his hair. "I love you both so so so so much ... Paa loves Ebu and his Amma ..."

"Paa... Amm...aaa...bu"

"Oh ... You mean to say you too love Paa and Amma?" Arnav looked down at him.

Abeer stood on his Father's thigh and cupping his face, gave it a shake. "Paaa..."

Arnav laughed.

"What are you two doing here leaving me alone in the room?"

Arnav turned as he heard her, to only see his wife standing near the poolside door in his T-shirt and rubbing her eyes to abolish the sleep.

Arnav smiled. "You know " He started towards her. "Sometime you don't look like a mother of one and half year old kid..."

Khushi's sleep infused mind took some time to register his words before frowning at him. "What? You mean hum Ebu ko kahi se chori kar ke laaye the?"

Arnav stopped in his track and stared at her in disbelief. "What? I..."

"I I kya?" she strode towards him and stood in front of him, hands on her hip. "Aap ke bolne ka matlab kya hai?" she flared at him.

Arnav stared at her angry face for few seconds before laughing out loud.

"Don't laugh you laad Governor!"

"Khushi ... You idiot.. " wrapping his arm around her waist, he pulled her to him. "You know, some other woman in your place would have taken that as a compliment.." He bent and kissed her lips soundly. "But not you, you pagal."

"Uhh? Compliment? You are telling me I don't look like my Ebu's Amma, and I should take that as a compliment? What is good about this?"

Arnav smiled and again kissed her lips. "OK sorry ... Bas?" Wrapping his arm around her shoulder, he pulled her to him. "I mean you are looking so beautiful .. right Ebu?"

"Aight ...aight ..." Ebu extended the rose to his Amma.

Khushi looked at her baby and smiled. "My Ebu ..." Taking him from Arnav ji, Khushi kissed his chubby cheek. "My baby is up ... This rose is for me?" She took the rose from him and awarded him with another kiss. "What were you doing with Paaa? Talking about Christine?" Khushi wiggled her brows at him.

"No.." Arnav again took Abeer in his arms and pulled Khushi in his arms.

"Then?"Khushi asked.

"We..." he bent and looked straight in her eyes. "We were talking how much we love you.." he whispered against her lips before placing his lips on hers, giving a beautiful start to yet another wonderful day of his life.
