Fifth Shot

" Babua, tumhare Babu ji pagala gaye hai" Khushi tinkled Ebu's tummy, making him giggle.

"Khushi, stop with your craziness and get ready " Arnav instructed as he fixed his tie.

Khushi sagged against the bed, with Ebu in her arms. " It was safe, Babua, nothing to worry at all" Khushi flashed her pearly teeth.

Arnav turned to look at the mad duo. " I. Said. Stop. Your. Madness. And. Get. Ready. "

Khushi pouted in reply. She knows there's no way out when he is all serious. She looked at her Son, who was mimicking her pout, or trying to. " As I said, pagala gaye hai" Khushi whispered near Ebu's ears.

But there was literally nothing that can escape her sharp husband.

Arnav shook his head, it was like all the insane ones were bestowed upon the fortunate him.

" I am telling you, Arnav ji there's nothing to worry " Khushi said for the umpteenth time as they entered the elevator.

"Keep quiet, Khushi"

As the elevator opened, they stepped out.

Walking towards the reception, and having a word with the receptionist there, Arnav returned near his family. " Doctor is not here yet, we will have to wait, come" he took Khushi hands and started towards the waiting room.

Khushi pouted and followed him.

They entered the waiting room to see few people sitting there. They walked towards the empty couch and sat.

"Having fun, Laad Governor ji?" Khushi whispered.

Arnav looked at Khushi. " It was important, Sanka devi ji"

" Don't do ramanchi, ...make your own endearments , don't steal Buaji's"

"Ohh...Laad Governor and Sanka Devi are endearments? I didn't knew."

Khushi moved back and looked at her Son who was sitting on her lap. " He is such a Laad Governor ... We will not talk to him." Khushi whined, but to her surprise, she got no reply from her Ebu. She bent down to look at his face. He was staring at something and smiling. She followed his gaze to see a little girl in the adjoining couch. She too was sitting on her Mother's lap and staring back at Ebu. Khushi brow lifted, amused.

"Ebu, sweetheart, what ijj happening, hello hi bye bye " Khushi lifted Ebu and made him face her.

"Am..maa" Ebu smiled and pointed at the little girl.

"You like her? She is cute just like my Ebu..." Khushi shifted to the end of the couch, near the little girl.

"Say hi to her" Khushi waved her hand.

The little girl' s Mother looked at Khushi and Ebu, smiling.

Ebu too waved his hand.

"Wave back, honey " the girl's mother too shifted near the duo and lifted her daughter's hand to wave back.

" Namaste, I am Khushi Arnav Singh Raizada, and he is my Son, Abeer " Khushi gave a warm smile.

"Hello...My name is Sylvia ...and she is my daughter, Christine" Sylvia reciprocated the warm smile.

Khushi looked down at the beautiful girl clad in a cute yellow frock and smiled. " Namaste Christine " Khushi took her tiny hand in her for a handshake. Then taking Ebu's hand, she helped them shake their hands.

Ebu grinned, too happy and excited. "Am...maaa" Ebu leapt forward and rested his hands on couch' s arm.

Khushi giggled and made him sit on couch's arm. "Happy..?"

Sylvia laughed as her daughter too moved near Ebu.

As Khushi kept staring at the excited bundles , she saw Ebu lift his hand to poke Christine' s cheek, making her giggle. And then, to her shock, she saw Ebu leaning and smacking a kiss on Christine's cheek. Khushi' s hand lifted to cover her wide open mouth .

Arnav, who too was watching the interaction , tilted his head to his left, hiding his smile.

"Mrs. D'silva" Sylvia heard her name, and stood up. "Bye Khushi and Abeer, nice meeting you... Christy , say bye. .tata. ." Slyvia and Christine waved and exited the waiting room.

Khushi just stared at her Son, before turning him towards her. "You naughty boy, you kissed that little girl"

"Then what Khushi? Kiss is not a big deal as you make it" Arnav quipped in.

Khushi kept Ebu on Arnav ji"s lap. " Ha, aap hi ka beta hai... "

Arnav sniffled back his chuckle and looked down at his Son.

" See he is making a sad face, I guess he has fallen in love with Christine. "

" What?" She looked down at her Son's sad pout. " She is not hindu, Ebu. .Nani will chop your legs. .. "

" But she will agree too...Can't see her Babua sad.." Arnav chuckled.

"Yes... " Khushi looked down at her son and lifted her finger. " But after chopping your leg that is... "

"Amm..maa" Ebu jumped in his mother's arm and hugged her.

Khushi held him close. "Don't worry, my jalebi, ... I will handle Nani, and I find her for you. .its not like Delhi is a big city, we will find her. .. Hum aapki prem kahaani ko adhoori nahi rehne denge. .. Your Amma's pinky promise"

Arnav shook his head. Unbelievable!

Arnav and Khushi exited the clinic after sometime. Khushi looked at Arnavji, grinning and wiggling her eyebrow at him. " I was telling the same thing from morning, wasn't I? I told you holi colors I used were safe, how can I give any adulterated and harmful thing for my baby, hmm?" Khushi caressed Ebu's cheek, who was resting his head on her shoulder.

Arnav rolled his eyes. " Yes, eyes are fine. ... But I guess, your dear Son's heart needs some treatment" Arnav looked down at his unenthusiastic Son, which was a rare sight

Khushi tilted her head down to look at her baby. " Awww. ..don't worry, jalebi. . I will find her. ... Don't be sad. .. OK ... Your Amma is very good at this. .. Your Amma had chased your Paa to his office, his house, everywhere he use to go. .. ..."

Khushi went on and on about her achievements, and all Arnav wanted to do at that moment was bang his head somewhere. But knowing it will do no difference to his wife, he just took her hand and started dragging her out of the building.
