Kushi's first was with Arnav???? That's surprising..that's why Arnav just can't forget her and still loves her..hope Manorama gets to know about this soon and does something to bring them together

Its very painful for khushi and meera to do one more first without NK. I as a reader can feel the pain.

Hey Mirabel, I fear Kushi is still stuck in her grief and is not comfortable to step out of this area. It feels like she is feeling guilty that she is still here when he is not and also guilty about the opportunity / possibility of what Asr may offer. She falls back to NK to make sure he understands that she is not leaving him behind. It also feels like NK took the lead in that household and she would be the executor - very typical husband/wife relationship i suppose. However this translates into an even bigger feeling of loss when the other person is gone because she has to come with the ideas and initiatives now as well as be the executor. I don't know if I am explaining myself well here as it is hard to think in French and translate it to English as you are typing away. I certainly don't want to sound cold or insensitive to her loss - I guess I can't relate because I have not been in her shoes. I am sure it is a very traumatic experience for a young woman to lose her partner before they have lived their lives together. But she is young and more importantly she has a young kid whose whole life is still to be lived. She needs to come out of this cloud of grief and guilt in order to move ahead. Will she take the leap? I guess it is quite scary to take the next step for fear of being judged as being too quick to move on leaving NK behind. But she won't be though as he will always be part of her life, he just won't be her life only anymore.

I must commend you on describing this situation so perfectly again due to your perfect symphony of words and pace. You seem to know this situation very well. Did you do research or did you see it happen in real life? Whichever it is, it is bang on.

La's arrival helped put her mind at ease and yet reopened many past experieneces that she does not want to reopen. Kushi sounds like a very close person, one who will not open up easily and yet she went with the flow for a week with Arnav. I keep wondering what that man did to her for her not to want to revisit that times. Not sure if it was entirely bad as they seem to be very courteous to each other now.

I for one am glad she is going on that trip. These 3 so need a change in scenery because NK's ghost is everywhere in their house. A change can help put things in perspective.
