It was a historical day. . .The teams who are always ready to cut through each other's throats were sitting in the Rehearsal hall together without taunting each other for the very first time in their life,. RDX Sir called both the teams in his cabin and directed them to work for Dance Fest together ignoring every argument which came from their side."Ohk! There is no other option Rey. . .We have to work with these Weaklings" Vicky made a bored face.
"Excuse me! It's our bad luck that we will have to work with you all. . . So called Dazzlers" Neha jumped in.
"Really? So called? Well, we can't even say that . . . after all you guys are actually Weaklings in Real anyway" Nil commented smirking.
" Oh God! Some things can just never change" Swayam mumbled to himself looking at the fighting lot.
"Can you all just shut up for a minute?" Swayam shouted at the top of his voice.
To say Sharon and Rey were shocked to see the ever calm sensible guy shouting. In fact this was the first time they came to know he can shout too. The whole room fell silent.
"Are you all serious? We have less than two weeks for the Dance Fest. . .Can we all just focus on Dance Fest as a Team keeping all our differences aside. . .It can cost us the reputation of our college!!!"
Sharon unknowingly smiled looking at Swayam. Anger wasn't something which she witnessed every day on his face.
"Oh God! He manages to look cute even in anger" Sharon thought to herself. She was surprised with herself that how she even in such tense situation manages to drool over him.
"Only if he felt anything close to what you feel for him" Her heart and mind reminded her. This was the first time they both agreed with each other in case of Swayam. Her face fell.
Everybody looked at Swayam in silence and sat on their places silently agreeing to him and Sharon finally assigned duties to everyone.
"Well its weird that I am saying this to you but I think what you just said was quite sensible. . . I thought this will just not work."
"That's the problem . . .Maybe we call be good together you just never know but that's too wide a gap and nobody intends to take a step to reduce the distance." Swayam said.
Reyaansh went in some deep thought and smiled towards him nodding briefly. Maybe the first step was taken. . . unknowingly.
******************
Swayam was wandering through the bookstore looking for some classic books when her eyes fell on Sharon trying to reach a book. . .As soon as he saw her he went stunned and shocked. No it wasn't the presence of Sharon in the bookstore which stopped his heart but the section where she was trying to reach a book.
" Sharon and Romantic Books???? Sharon reads Romance??? Am I dreaming??? Or I need to go to an Eye specialist instantly." Swayam chuckled in surprise.
Swayam stood behind her and picked the book from the shelf . . . Sharon turned to see Swayam standing an inch apart from her. . . She looked in his eyes and her heartbeat increased. . . Swayam stood there letting himself drown in her black shining eyes . . . For the first time he realized her black orbs has the shine to light the whole world. . . His heart flipped and a sigh escaped his mouth . . . Sharon turned red and lowered her eyes in embarrassment and it bought back Swayam to the real world.
They both started looking everywhere but at each other to hide the awkwardness . . . After some minutes of silence Swayam finally gained back the composure and looked at the book in his hand
"So you like romance?"
"What?No!No!Not at all. . .Romance and all I don't like. . .I was looking for a. . .a. . .a thriller yeah. . .A thriller book!" Sharon tried to cover up.
"In romance section?" Swayam looked trying hard to suppress his laugh.
"Yeah. . .Actually. . ."
"You are surprising me everyday Sharon" Swayam said fixing his eyes on her.
Sharon bit her lower lip and blushed slightly. Swayam smiled seeing his effect on her. He never knew he could make her heart race like this. . . He could almost hear her heart thumping in her chest.
"I love You forever" Swayam said not leaving her gaze.
"What?" Sharon looked at him in surprise.
"Your book . . . It's the name" Swayam forwarded her the novel he was holding all along.
"Ohh. . .oh Yeah!" Sharon took the book from his hand and tried to control her heart. It was threatening to burst out of her chest under his gaze and his words.
"Bye" Sharon wished adieu.
"Bye" Swayam replied and she started walking away.
"Sharon?" Swayam called her and she stopped in her tracks.
" Which Sharon is the real one? The one who likes thriller or the one who likes romance?" Swayam said reading every expression on her face as she gaped listening to the question.
"How can you say they both are not the same?" Sharon asked seriously.
After a moment of silence . . . Swayam came closer to her and whispered softly "Because they are not".
Sharon thought she could die in the intensity of the moment.
"Do you really wanna know?" Sharon said.
"Maybe I do" Swayam replied.
"Have you read A walk to remember?" Sharon said.
"No" Swayam answered.
Sharon picked out the book from the shelf and handed over to him.
"Here. . . Maybe you should read it. . .It's my favourite book" Sharon answered and walked away smiling.
Swayam stood there looking at retreating figure of Sharon with a classic love story in his hands given by the girl who he thought was a insensitive bitch and he knew something had changed within him with this moment.
