I doubt it has anything to do with communication.

Khushi needs to figure out where she stands on this arrangement and whatever she decides she has to do it for herself. Its introspection of her own wants that's necessary than talking with Arnav, don't you think so?

Awesome, I felt bad for Khushi's inner turmoil.

The real question is what if they really want different things. Middle ground may be exalted but what if one doesn't exist. Or worse, what if it does and neither of them are completely happy with it.

This is tricky and it's not just about sex, is it? (Though sex is probably the only topic that has morality associated with it at this level and has the ability to reduce one to guilt, disgust, shame, etc.)

Then the real real question is do you ever stop being alone even when you are a couple?

See now I've gone off on a tangent!

Nope not at all off the tangent. You are raising the exact questions I wanted the readers to :=)

We aren't always open with our opinions and wants as we want our social standing to be as impeccable as possible. So yes, what they do in the privacy of their room is most important because its where they are stripped off their masks and persona and they are exactly who they really are.

Now the question comes - what if Khushi doesn't want what Arnav wants? Arnav seems to be okay with it but in the end he wont be true to his actual desires.

This is applicable to every part of life. I responded to a comment this morning from Eccentrica where she spoke about opposites and symbiotic. Its the same thing - opposites attract. They don't work well in the end.

The question remains - what happens next :=)

You know I lied when I said I didn't know what to say after Chapter 2 :) I did, I was scared. For Khushi. As Khushi, I would have been terrified after that confession. Maybe I am not the classic nurturer. ;)

But now after your reply, I am definitely terrified. Being a couple is tough. If you are opposites, then yes but even if you are different in some areas that matter!

Fifty shades of intimacy done right. You've written this really well. What could have been crass is emotional and heart-warming. True intimacy is when you can let your guard down and show the other person what you truly feel, fear, love and want.

Nah, am not going into detail of what 50 shades did. Much fundamental and more psychological.
