It was painful watching him break down, made more so by the guilt and self recrimination that was pouring out of him. And then the 'suck in breath' moment when you wrote of her being there witnessing it. He 'wished upon a star' and it was given to him.

Heart-breaking and heart-mending at the same time (because of the second half)
I noticed the angst filled Arnav here. The Best & his belle can be very well a part/extension of it.
Sometimes we stop ourselves thinking change will hurt us but we don't understand that sometimes this is what we all need to be happy. Arnav here was no different. He hid himself behind a mask and now he was in pain. I must say he is lucky enough that Khushi decided what she needs to do rather than waiting. He better not mess this up.
Did I tell you that I am simply in love with this song? If yes then also I couldn't stop myself from saying it again.

They say opposites attract and this is so true of these two,..

His anger is soothed by her calmness, although she may be the trigger of it too. !!
His weakness is resolved by her strength
He may not be an open book but only Khushi can read him like one..
He may think he is not worthy of love, only Khushi can make him feel priceless...

The burn of scotch cannot numb the pain he is in, Yet I also found it seducing, the way you described him holding the crystal glass and drowning in his own self pity ..
The lines where he reflects on how he could have, should have made it right ... are so Arnav...
All that matter is, its not who fell first, it's who gets up first to help the other, that makes them stronger...

Oh no it was really heartwrecking😭
arnav's pain and anguish is beautifully described.
he needs khushi in his life.only she can sooth his pain and make him smile and happy.
Waiting for next part.
Hope we will get arnav and khushi interaction.
The song is so perfect for khushi's pov.
